Axel's POV
Something was wrong, I could feel it within but couldn't grasp why I felt that way.
Even my wolf could feel it too, he was acting out growling within and fighting for control.
“Go after her” he snarled, making my muscles tense but I still overpowered him, keeping him at bay.
“With the way you are acting, why should I? So you can hurt her again” I spat trying to reason with him.
“Your stubbornness is going to get our mate killed,” he snapped back.
“She doesn't want us” I blurted out the words harshly, attracting attention from pedestrians.
The humans stared at me wondering if I was running mad since it looked like I was talking to myself.
I forced a smile acting as if everything was casual till they walked away then I exhaled sharply, shaking my head. It was the bond. That was all. Nothing else. I had no reason to go after her.
My hands flexed at my sides. The need to move, to find her, burned under my skin, but I refused to give in.
She said it herself; she doesn't need me.
