_"It's him, right?"_
Those words sent me jolting for the skies like an eel, scared to my bones. Dear goddess.
In haste, I wiped my face with the back of my palms, pat drying it and acting like not a tear dropped a while ago.
Satisfied with my not-so-damp damp face, I turned to see Dr. Liam standing beside me, erected like a rock.
"I’m sorry, I didn't mean to startle you.” He made a baby face, one that was impossible to stay mad at.
What was he doing here? Clearly, Liam doesn't know much about 'let her be’ or 'she needs her space and time to think’ shit... Just the random privacy needs for patients and that's that.
"It's okay, not like it's your fault.” I made a great effort to be as normal as I could.
