Asher's POV
Rylee and Liam got inside, while me and Jasmine trailed behind. It was something of deep concern and they were here to show their support.
Truthfully, everything that was going on currently is scaring the shit out of me, but I didn't want to be perceived as a weakling or rub off my bad energy on Jasmine.
She too was having a hard time with the situation, adding mine to it was like pouring a bucket of salt into her raw wound. It would make her break down, and if we must pull through, none of us needed that ill luck.
"Babe, are you okay?" Jasmine tugged on my arm, barely sparing me a glance as she went for the knob.
"Yeah, sure." I almost screamed in my attempt to make my words sound believable. Even though my eyes were filled with a river of tears, it was easier to fool her as she wasn't looking at me.
"The place is exceptionally quiet, where are the kids?" Rylee inquired.
