Chapter 156 The Saving
Jasmine's POV
I remained curled up in bed, still in a beaten state. It had been days since Sebastian's death and we were yet to shake off the sad reality... There was no getting of this ill fate.
Asher came into the room, holding a cup of tea on a saucer. He looked pretty much stressed, the whole household was practically in distress. Neither I nor Asher got to play with the kids like we used to, or even make them the nice meals we usually do. Although Asher tried his best to be present, it would never be the same as it used to be.
Our existence of late was basically bland and without flavor. The kids only went to school, are and remained in their room, the only person that managed to escape the claws of boredom was Emily as she had Penny. Their grandparents were even more grieved than me.
"Babe, you should have something in your system." He set the cup of tea beside me and sat at the foot of the bed, just close to my toes.
"I'm fine," I brushed his offer
