“What's the actual surprise?”
Asher stripped off his apron and hung it on a string of hooks before he turned to face me.
"All of this... And them too.” He demonstrated elaborately.
“Seriously, stop beating about.” I sighed. "Since when did Rylee and Liam randomly stopping by become a surprise?”
He looked at me, more confused than ever.
“Are you and Liam gossiping behind my back? What's new?” I demanded.
He could see my uneasiness about the stunt he was pulling.
"Are you and Liam fighting? You are not happy about this whole setup.”
“That's because you went behind me to talk to Liam about me...”
"Oh, common babe." He closed the gap between us. "Stop being paranoid, you know I would never disrespect you like that.”
He cupped my chin, tilted it upward, and kissed me.
"So?" I didn't buy his sweet talk.
"I noticed you've been worked up lately, so I just wanted our friend around, you know, a great way to have fun and get past this phase, I pouted and blinked like a bun
