“I suppose we are done here.” Brady dismissed me subtly.
Did Brady just threaten me with a dismissal? Of all the things to slam me with, he stooped so low to pick up the dismissal threat from the bottomless pit?
Has the world gone nuts? I scoffed, still in denial that I had just been threatened with dismissal, from the same place I gave the entity of my life to.
While I was getting back on my feet, after the abandonment drama and childbirth, I enrolled as a student in a medicine college with Asher being much of an assistant. After graduation, I got my first job here, and for the records, I turned down a few offers, and even more juicy ones after I got my nickname as the miracle doctor.
If only I left, maybe I wouldn't be in the mess from the onset, or maybe my ugly fate would have taunted me still, until I was broken... Fate was fate, become invisible or not.
