‘Rylee, love, love; My phone rang out and vibrated on the bedside table. Siri read out the caller the exact way I saved it. There was no pretending to still be asleep.
It was my day off, matter of fact, I had today and tomorrow to relax and recuperate. Asher offered to prepare the kids for school and drove all the way to drop them at school. This wasn’t him trying to be on their good book, Asher was just being an angel. After he returned, he had to rush out again for a few deliveries.
Lazily, my hand searched for the screaming phone beside me, with my eyes still shut with the fold.
“Argh!” I groaned when I almost knocked down the lamp on the table. This time, I searched slowly and carefully.
