Jasmine's POV
“Dear goddess, please intervene.” I made a silent prayer to the moon goddess. And more than ever, I wished she would come through for me.
"How dare you?!" Asher groaned and sprang to his feet.
I almost ran wild, just watching Sebastian approach me and my family, like he was a random guest, looking gracious in his neat two-piece black suit. I wanted to pull him by the hair and drag him out, but at the same time, my limbs went paralyzed.
"Please, stay calm,” I whispered to Asher who was ready to attack beside me. It was more like a message to myself because I was going crazy and I doubted my next reaction.
“Is he a mean guy?” Ezra whispered to Emily and Ethan noting the brewing chaos between us.
“He looks like a nice guy to me,” Ethan stated his observation. "Just like daddy.”
"If Penny barks at him, then he is evil." Emily chipped in. "See, we don't need to pray. He is a good guy.” Emily concluded when Penny whimpered and dangled her tail.
