Jasmine's POV
“You’ll be fine, Jas,” I whispered to myself, fighting tears from rolling down my cheeks freely.
I grabbed a handful of the fabric of my lab coat and sniffed it. I missed saving lives and finding fun in just performing an operation or having a counseling session with a client...
There was Mrs. Bianca, one of my best and most loyal clients. Even after the fall of the miracle doctor, she still placed her life in my hands, hoping for a miracle, and I almost messed it up for her, how careless of me. I couldn't help but wonder how she was fairing, was she okay? After surviving that almost fatal surgery, what did she think of me?
“Jasmine... Please, stop.” I snuffled and wiped my tears with the back of my palm. "It isn't over yet, you will be fine,” I whispered courageously.
The era of being a miracle doctor was over after all. But then, I didn't care about the fame, I just wanted my job, and the peace like in the good old days. But I guess it was me asking for too much.
