Roman's POV***

The last thing I remembered was a loud noise, then everything faded to black. When I finally came to, the first face I saw was Zara's. Confusion flooded my mind. How was she here?

As I attempted to look around, a sharp ache rattled through my head. I tried to push myself up, but a gentle hand stopped me.

“The doctor said you shouldn't sit up just yet,” she said softly, her eyes filled with concern.

“Zara?” I called out, my voice hoarse. I tried to raise my hand, but it felt heavy and unresponsive.

“It's Sera,” she corrected me.

“Sera?” I asked, still confused.

“I’ll go get the doctor, do not move,” she said, glancing at me before slipping out of the room.

I blinked, trying to shake off the fog. Moments later, Tania walked in. Relief washed over me when I recognized her.

“Thank goodness you are awake,” she exclaimed, her voice shaky. “I thought I had lost you.”

“Tania, what’s Zara doing here?” I pressed, seeking clarity in the whirlwind of my thoughts.

“Zara?” She frowned

  • THE BILLIONAIRE'S REGRET   Bruised Egos

Tania's POV***The new girl slapped me back hard, her palm leaving a stinging imprint on my cheek.I stumbled for a moment, a wave of shock crashing over me, almost sending me to the ground. The sharp pain radiated through my face, and I instinctively clutched it, trying to process what had just happened. “Who the hell are you?” I managed to ask, my voice shaky but defiant. I glanced at Sera, who stood frozen, her eyes wide in disbelief.“Who the hell are you?” The new girl shot back, her voice dripping with attitude.“Answer me! Who do you think you are, barging into someone’s house and hitting them like that?” I snapped, my annoyance bubbling over.I could feel adrenaline coursing through me, a fire igniting in my chest as I looked back at Sera for support.“You’ve been nothing but trouble since you stepped into this place. It’s like you thrive on chaos. Why can't you just let things be the way they were before you showed up?” I demanded, frustration spilling out.I had seen the vi

  • THE BILLIONAIRE'S REGRET   The Devil's Approval

Roman's pov***I stepped into Lucien's apartment, the heavy haze of smoke wrapping around me like a thick blanket. The air was heavy with something foreign, an acrid scent that stung my nostrils.I squinted through the dim light, searching for him, half-expecting to find him collapsed on the floor.Instead, there he was, propped up in his study, a crooked smile on his face as he leaned against his desk. With his heart condition, I couldn’t believe he would dabble in such a risky venture. It felt like the kind of twist that life would pull just to mock us.He stood, dropped his cane, and suddenly both his hands were on my shoulders, squeezing lightly, almost reassuringly. “Well done, my boy. I knew you’d come around,” he said, his voice warm but still dripping with that same annoying smugness I could never stand.I blinked, taken aback. What on earth was he talking about? “What do you mean?” I asked, my confusion spilling out.“I saw the news,” he replied, his smile widening. “Not the

  • THE BILLIONAIRE'S REGRET   Roman Vale, breaking news

Zara’s pov***I paced around the house, my heart heavy with worry for Roman. Each step felt like a reminder of the weight I carried.Where was he? Had he made it home safely? The thought of him still facing Levi made my stomach churn.I could almost feel the tension lingering in the air, thick and suffocating.“He’s going to be fine,” Selene chimed in, her voice calm but not quite able to settle the storm inside me.I glanced over at her, catching her worry as she watched me move back and forth.“But he hasn’t reached me yet,” I said, almost pleading for reassurance.“I thought you hated the man?” she teased, a raised eyebrow challenging me.“Don’t do that, not right now,” I snapped, not wanting to dive into old wounds, the painful history I carried. Then my phone buzzed violently on the table, pulling me from my thoughts.I darted over, my heart leaping, hoping to see Roman’s name flashing on the screen. It wasn’t him.As I answered, Leo’s familiar voice filled my ear. “Ma’am,” he sa

  • THE BILLIONAIRE'S REGRET   Between Guilt and Desire.

Zara’s POV***“You bastard!” I heard Levi shout, his voice filled with rage as he swung his fist at Roman. The punch landed with a sickening thud against Roman's face, and I felt my heart drop.I couldn’t help but stand there, frozen, as if the ground beneath my feet had turned to stone. Each crack of Levi's knuckles against Roman's made my chest tighten. It felt wrong, so wrong, watching Roman, who looked so vulnerable, like a child caught in a storm, take hit after hit.“Levi, stop!” I finally managed to yell, but my voice barely broke through the chaos, swallowed by their anger.Roman didn’t fight back; he just stood there, allowing it to happen, as if he wanted them to actually happen. It shattered something inside me to see him that way. Then, like a bolt of lightning, Selene rushed in with two security guards hot on her heels. “Where the hell is your phone?” she snapped at me, her eyes darting around.Confusion washed over me, pulling me from my daze.“I’ve been trying to reach

  • THE BILLIONAIRE'S REGRET   Between the Blows

Zara’s POV***“Is that…?” Selene asked, her eyes bright and her curiosity piqued.I nodded, a small smile creeping onto my face. “Come, I’ll show you the team,” I said. After a few quick introductions, I decided it was time to let Selene bond with the others. It gave me a chance to gather my thoughts and sort myself out for the day.Work had been slow. The office buzzed with distant chatter, but there was a strange calmness here.Sir Lucien always had things under control, like a conductor guiding his orchestra.I found comfort in the quiet, my mind wandering as I focused on my tasks.Suddenly, the peace shattered as Chloe burst through my office door. I sprang to my feet, a flicker of worry lighting up my chest.“Sir Roman is back!” she exclaimed, her excitement contagious. But confusion took over me. “And? Why is everyone making such a fuss?” My brows furrowed as I tried to understand what made his return so special. After all, he worked here.“We can’t have two bosses in the office

  • THE BILLIONAIRE'S REGRET   Terms and Conditions.

Roman’s pov***The stakes were higher now. That company felt like my baby, just like it was his.It wasn’t that I didn’t have feelings for Sera; I did, deep down. But everything around us was chaotic, almost like it was conspiring against us.There was Levi's presence, always looming, and my dad, who treated this as a chance for business growth, not caring about our hearts or lives.I paced around the room, my thoughts swirling. How could I tell Sera how I felt without sounding like I had some hidden agenda? My father’s threat hung heavily in the air, every word echoing in my mind. He wasn’t one for idle threats. If he promised something, he was going to follow through. His world revolved around himself, and everyone else was expendable.I took a moment to breathe, glancing out the window. The night sky was clear, and the stars seemed almost mocking. They felt so far away, just like my hopes of a simple life with Sera.Frustration buzzed in my chest, the uncertainty gnawing at me as
