Aylin…. Aylin…. The chant of my name was resonating throughout my mind. I could see nothing for a few seconds before I got trapped within the familiar warmth of the arms of my Rowan.
He picked me up and walked into his temporary office, resting me on the sofa. I was struggling to find myself in a chaotic environment. Rowan and Waylen were shouting at each other, making my head pound worse, making me want to sink into darkness.
The world was spinning. Why did Waylen say that? Was my Rowan’s life in danger? As a few drops of water descended my throat, I regained my strength to open my eyes.
