"You can stay here, or maybe you can go back to your place if you want to," I told the people.
"We will wait for our family members who are still on cells," Calix's mother answered.
"Yes, young lady," another woman said. Others also agreed.
"Alright," I told them.
I followed my comrades into the basement. True as the young man said, there were rows of cells down. The prisoners are crowded in one cell like canned sardines. They looked so weak and abused.
"Be careful."
I heard Prince Marcus say to the prisoners who were going out of the cell. The place is so dark. The only light is coming from a single lamp post. The whole place is a picture of terror.
Some are too weak to be able to walk. I concluded they were left to starve. Connor assisted an old man. He led him outside. Same with Seb and Hugo. Conrad and Prince Marcus are opening all the cells. They keep reminding them to be careful and not to push one another.
