Yorick

My hands clench into fists. You’ve got to be fucking kidding me. This tool? This is the man who thinks he’s going to take what’s mine?

“I told you I was going to come visit you, Cyra. Imagine my surprise when you weren’t home. I figured you were out. But you were so adamant when we talked about how busy you’ve been with your studies that I assumed you’d be back any minute. So, I waited.” He glanced at her, but obviously realizing that we’ve been together all night, his eyes returned to me.

“We got caught in the rain,” she says.

“Right,” he says, his tone indicating his disbelief.

Cyra turns and looks at me, her eyes pleading with me not to start anything.

“I need to shower,” I tell her, walking past her.

The tool steps in my way. “I’m Alpha Stellan.”

“Yeah, I heard. I’m Alpha Yorick,” I say, stepping around him and walking to the showers.

“I’m Cyra’s betrothed,” he calls out, and I spin around, Thad pushing forward. Before I can take a step, Cyra is between us, her hand on my ch

Lila“Baby, you know I want to be with you as much as you want to be with me,” Stellan says. He pulled me into an empty room in the packhouse when I confronted him once again about getting out of the agreement with Alpha Cyra.Ever since that woman, Piper, called me, I can’t get the thought out of my head that what she said might be true. But every time I say something to Stellan, he has a good reason why he can’t get out of the agreement.“What if she finds her fated mate at the Academy, Stell? Maybe she will and that will be that,” I say, remembering that Piper told me Cyra did find her mate and he’s the one who punched Stellan.“She didn’t, baby. I told you, when I was there, she refused to release me from the alliance bond. If she had met her mate, she’d have told me. She'd have been as eager to get out of this alliance bond as I am,” he says, running his fingers over my cheek and tucking my hair behind my ear.Now I don’t know what to believe.“You know I only want you, right?” h

Quirin“Did want to listen in?” I ask Warren when we hang up from the video call.“I think it’s always good to be reminded of how truly vicious you can be, Quirin,” he says, just as the people in my life who have taken that viciousness out of me knock on the door.I stand and walk to the door. Before I reach it, it’s pushed open, and my gaggle of girls comes flooding into the office.“DADDY!” they all say rushing toward me. I’ve learned from one of the best fathers out there how to manage a large group of children, so without breaking stride, I scoop down and pick up all four of my quads, as I continue walking toward the woman who has given me everything I’ve ever wanted in life and so much more.I lean over the girls in my arms and my son in her arms and kiss my mate, drawing her into the kiss since I don’t have any arms to pull her to me.When I pull back, I growl softly, letting her know that I’ll be finishing that later tonight. She gives me her sweet, naughty grin that sends desir

Cyra“I know you’re still struggling to understand that you’re not alone anymore, Cyra, but you aren’t,” my mate, my sweet, amazing mate says to me.He’s right, I don’t know what it means to not be alone, but I’m getting a crash course on what it’s like to have family, a real family, surround you with their love. Looking at my mate, seeing the pure and absolute love in his eyes makes me realize several things all at once.First, no matter what, I want his mark on my neck and mine on his. Second, I want to be the kind of Alpha that a man like Yorick will be proud of, someone he would want to follow, but would also be willing to stand beside and lead our pack together. And finally, no matter what it takes, no matter how difficult it might be for me, for us, I want him to follow his dream and become an elite warrior for as long as wants that life.Since I’m already in his lap, I turn, straddling him as I take his mouth in a passionate kiss. His response, as always, is instant. Now that my

Yorick“You’ve been awfully quiet today,” I say to Cyra. She’s been in her own world of thoughts since our call this morning. In class, I had to nudge her several times to help her stay focused and now that classes are done for the day, she’s back to being in her own head. What I wouldn’t give to have my mark on her neck so I could follow along with whatever she’s thinking.Okay, I just want my mark on her neck, but it would definitely help right now.Cyra looks at me and smiles. “You know, Kaylee is the scariest pup I’ve ever met in my life.”I burst out laughing. Quirin would be so proud to hear that.“She and her twin, Kendra, are something else. Wade calls them the Double K, Triple Threat, because the have learned to fight together and even at a young age, they’re pretty powerful. I wasn’t there, but Quirin loves to tell the story of how his two-and-a-half year old girls dropped one of his warriors.”“Dropped him? You mean took him down?” she asks, her eyes going wide.“More or les

  • The Pack's Alpha   Chapter 56: Purchasing the Debt

CyraYorick and I got up early to get breakfast so we could meet with the Tech Team before sparring class. Hijack apparently has information to share with all of us.Rather than meeting in the library, we’re meeting in Hijack’s room. When we arrive, I realize that third year students have much larger rooms than we do as first years. However, even with the added space, Hijack’s room is filled with so much computer equipment, it’s still difficult to find a place to sit. His bed is shoved against the wall like it’s an afterthought to someone who forgets to go to sleep and needs a place to fall into when they’re so exhausted they can’t stay awake any longer. While the room is cluttered with equipment, it’s spotless and there’s an almost perfectionistic structure to it. I have no doubt that Hijack knows where every bit of equipment is and could access it within seconds if needed. From the look of it, he’s already set up the video equipment and turned a monitor to face the room. I’m guessing

  • The Pack's Alpha   Chapter 55: Mentors

HackerWhile Tracker has been away, Hijack and I have taken turns watching over Sphinx. Neither of us expect that she will get into trouble before she comes to the Academy, but sometimes trouble comes looking for you. Since all of us like to be proactive and cover all our bases, we agreed that we’d monitor Sphinx when we could. Having been the ones who put the security system into her brother’s pack, it’s a lot easier for us to monitor what’s going on in that pack. This morning, I’m watching her in warrior training. I smile. She’s good. Really good.Until she isn’t.I frown, turning up the volume on the security system. It doesn’t help. There are too many other warriors on the field talking and giving instructions. Sphinx and Alpha Connor, who is talking to her, are on the other side of the battlefield.I watch her nod, see the look on her face like she knows she’s disappointing her brother. Having seen them in person, having Shakespeare basically threaten Hijack and I, knowing that we
