Kayla desperately wanted to hear the whole story because Sally has never said anything about having such a good relationship with her boss and all of a sudden he chose to take her out on an office dinner. It sounded like there was actually something going on between them or maybe the start of something beautiful.
Kayla was looking at Sally's face. She was trying to check if Sally was too excited about the dinner but Sally is very good at keeping a straight face so her expression was not obvious at all.
We aren’t as close as you think, I had the same expression on your face when he told me to go with him to the party because I don’t understand why he wanted me to go with him and he also gave a strict rule that I cannot reject the offer. I had no other choice but to go with him after he said that.
