Two marriages. Four lives. One tangled web of betrayal, secrets, and revenge. Justin and Kyla were once college sweethearts who had nothing but love and ambition. Together, they built everything from the ground up—a business, a home, a life that seemed unbreakable. Ella and Zach, on the other hand, were forced into a loveless marriage to merge empires and protect family wealth. With money to burn but no affection between them, their union was a gilded cage. One summer, a chance meeting between Justin and Ella at a luxury hotel ignites a reckless affair. What should have been a fleeting fling spirals into something darker—an obsession neither of them can walk away from. But when Kyla and Zach cross paths—two wounded hearts bonded by betrayal—their cold business deal begins to spark with unexpected fire. They both want justice. They both want payback. But what if, in the process of destroying the people who broke them, they find something neither expected? Something dangerously close to love. But could anything happen between these two?

“How was your day?” I asked Justin excited as I laid on the bed resting my head on his chest as usual.
“I'm going to eat at the restaurant today: the Salmon there is delicious,” We always share details of our day before going to bed. But this time I did not understand what he's talking about because Justin doesn't even eat all this. I raised my head from his chest and turned to look at his face with my face squeezed.
“When did you start eating these things?” I found it really odd because Justin has disliked raw food since our college days.
He looked quite surprised when he heard the question I asked, my suspicions were wild seeing the look on his face.
“I met a partner who introduced me to it.” The issue of eating raw foods wasn't that serious but I noticed that he's been adopting some new habits which are totally unlike him, he's changed his perfume, he's now eating raw foods and he doesn't even get intimate with me anymore.
I am beginning to feel distance from him which is a feeling I hate. I don't know, maybe I'm just being too sensitive or my suspicions are actually true because so many things are happening at the same time and it's creating a bridge between both of us.
I rested my head back on his chest and robbed it softly. “You know I've been thinking, it's better I return to the gallery. I have rested enough being a housewife.” Justin sat up immediately he heard what I said.
“Why are you thinking of returning to the gallery? The gallery is doing good without your presence, just keep doing your thing here in the house as my wife.” I felt disrespected when I heard what Justin said to me about remaining in the house as his house wife.
Ever since we got married I have done everything to please him. I sacrificed my position in the gallery just to make him happy and here he is still insisting that I remain an ordinary housewife?
“Is there something going on in the gallery that you are hiding from me?” All of a sudden my suspicions were getting the best of me and I was getting uncontrollable.
“Kyla please stop, I had a long day at work so I don’t want to start this with you tonight.”
“Are you trying to call me a nagging wife? Justin, all I want is to return to the gallery. Why are you making it a big deal?”
“Kyla, you can't just walk into the gallery anytime you want, this is a business not your playground.” Silence fell in between both of us as I was too hurt to say anything at the moment.
Justin looked at my face for a little while and held my hand lovingly, “ I know that both of us did everything to make that company what it is today but that doesn't give you the right to walk into the company anytime we choose, when the time comes I will find a position in the gallery that fits you.” Justin said and pecked me before going to bed.
I was emotionally drained, seated on the bed all by myself with a husband that doesn't even care about how I feel anymore. Justin wasn't always like this which is why I have this feeling that he's cheating on me and my intuition is never wrong.
His phone was right beside me and I was tempted to go pick it up but I stopped myself because going through his phone would only mean doing extra. “Justin would never cheat on me.” I tried convincing myself before going to bed.
********
“Justin.” I said a little on top of my voice the moment I woke up from a horrible nightmare. I stretched my hand and noticed that Justin was no longer on the bed.
When I was about to start panicking I heard a sound coming from the bathroom which means Justin is having his morning bath. I was about to go to bed when his phone lit up on the bed displaying a W******p message.
I was so tempted to check who the message is from but I didn't want to go extra mile just because I suspect he's cheating on me, at the same time as his wife I was so curious to know what is going on in his life right now so I picked up the phone immediately to see who the messages from.
“How was the salmon tonight? Did it change your stubborn taste?
“Yes, you always bring me new experiences.” My heart dropped the moment I read his response.
“This is just the beginning.”
“Couldn't be more excited.” I looked at the bathroom door still in disbelief that Justin is truly having an affair. I clicked on the lady's profile and realized her name is Ella but her picture wasn't on display.
There were dozens of messages exchanged, often daily.
I dropped the phone back on the bed with a heavy heart, while pretending to be asleep so that he doesn't suspect I read his messages. My heart ached so much that I couldn't sleep back thinking about the messages that I read on his phone.

The next morning,
Justin was ready to leave for work while I was still laying on the bed acting unwell so I didn't cook anything for breakfast. Justin, always caring, offered to take me to the hospital if need be, but I was too upset to do anything that he wanted.
“Are you sure you'll be fine all by yourself?”
“Stop acting like you care, Justin.” I didn't mean to speak to him that way but my emotions at this moment were totally uncontrollable.
“Make sure you call me if it gets worse than this.” I couldn't respond to what he said because he was making me feel stupid thinking he actually cares while he is cheating on me.
“Watch your back Justin.” I said to him angrily before he walked out of the room. I'm sure that word will keep lingering in his head which is why I said it.
The moments Justin stepped out of the room I sat up on the bed and tears welled down my eyes.
My phone beeped and I picked it up immediately to see who the messages were from.
“I'm sure you feel irritated because it's that time of the month so I'm not upset.” I covered my mouth with my hand and started crying uncontrollably, how is this perfect man cheating on me?
Justin's POVGetting the news from my ex-mother-in-law that she would not be able to help us with getting back together anymore and now getting information from my personal assistant that a new gallery that has just opened got an investment from the company that's invested in our gallery, which made us part of the top three. I feel like everything is making me go crazy at this moment, and nothing is working out properly. No, I have to find out who is the owner of the gallery that is threatening the position of my gallery, and I have to look for a way to convince my ex-mother-in-law to help me continue to convince Kayla, which seems almost impossible.******When I got home from work, I met Ella already in the house. I have noticed that since a couple of weeks ago, she's been very different; she's definitely trying to make an effort to be a good girlfriend and maybe end up becoming my wife, but I don't see that happening because I'm not even in love with her.Even though I find her sud
Justin's POVI can't believe what's going on right now. How did she suddenly switch up to be a good mom? Ever since my separation from Kayla, she has been the one on my side, making sure that things go back to the way they used to be, so if she's no longer going to help me out, then it means my separation from Kayla will really remain permanent, and I will never be able to get her back again.Even though Ella has been very different towards me and she's been trying to make her relationship work, I still don't see the genuineness in her. Most times I feel like she's just doing a lot of things to keep me by her side because of her own selfishness. If she hadn't ruined what Kayla and I had, things would be a lot better right now, and maybe Kayla and I would still be married. I hate that I have to go back home every day and see her fake smile.“This is so frustrating.” Reality was hitting very hard the moment I started thinking that maybe this time it is really for good and maybe Kayla an
Writer's povJustin was confused, so he checked the caller again to confirm he was talking to the right person, but then he confirmed that it was Kayla's mom.“What is going on?” He was confused because he knows that Kayla's mom would never speak to him like that. She's always on his side and always against her daughter, so hearing her yell at him like that is a very new thing to him, and it was very hard for him to understand why she spoke to him in such a manner.“Why didn't you tell me that she was pregnant?”“Who was pregnant?”“The lady you cheated with?”“Is Kayla there?” Justin asked because he knew that only Kayla would be able to tell her mom such a thing, even though he has explained to her that Ella was never pregnant and she only made everything up just to get sympathy from the public. Unfortunately, it backfired.“Mom… I'm sorry…” He apologized immediately because he knows that she doesn't want to hear him call her Mom.“I have explained to Kayla several times that she wa
Kayla's POVIt's been almost a month already since I started my gallery, and it's been going very well, which is something I never imagined would happen, and the biggest news is what I received last night.I can't believe that the same company that invested in the gallery Justin took away from me is the same gallery that wants to invest in my new project. This is very good news. It feels like the stars are aligning for me.“What's going on? You look very excited.” Sally said the moment she returned home and saw me looking so excited, she called immediately to tell me that there is either good news or I'm just in a good mood. Yesterday when I returned from my mom's house, I was very sad, but receiving the good news today frightened my mood very much. I still haven't been able to speak to Sally about the conversation that I had with my mom yesterday when I went to visit her because I am sort of still in denial because it's so hard for me to accept that I will never receive the kind of l
Zach's POVI decided to focus on work and forget about everything that happened at home and the reason why I had to leave. I know that definitely my dad is going to do whatever it takes to make sure that my brother is part of the executive team in this company, but I'm going to make sure that it doesn't work out the way he wants because I'm the one that is going to take this company after him.I really don't care what his mom did that made my dad indebted to her; I would make sure that he doesn't have any huge share in this company.“Yes, come in.” I said to the person that was knocking on the office door, I hate it so much whenever they knock because it clearly means that there is either good news or bad news.“Sir, your dad made a phone call to the board saying that there will be an emergency board meeting tomorrow morning.” Just as I had instructed my personal assistant. I told him to make sure to inform me whenever my dad makes a phone call today about any board meeting or any oth
Writer's povWhen Sally returned home, she noticed that Kayla was nowhere to be found in the house. Though she was worried, she thought there was no reason to be alarmed because Kayla told her earlier that she would be fine going all the way to see her mom by herself. Sally knew how annoying Kayla’s mom can be, which is why she was worried, but she controlled herself from doing anything that’ll put her in a bad place with Kayla.“Did she make anything before leaving?” Sally asked herself and stood up to go check the kitchen, and just as she thought, Kayla had already prepared a delicious meal because she knew that Sally might be hungry when she returned.“She’s the absolute best.” Sally said excitedly and served herself, then she remembered her visit to Kendrick's house and how she had to spend the day there for no good reason. She was wondering why he even called her in the first place when he had nothing important to tell her.A few minutes later Sally was done eating, and Kayla was
