I felt the cold metal chains pressing against my skin, making it nearly impossible for me to move around the room. It was dark, damp, and it smelled like a mix of dirt and sweat. It feels has been in this room for like days, but it was only been a few hours. My mind was starting to play tricks on me, making me see shadows in the corners of the room and hear strange noises. I was getting desperate and hopeless, until I heard the sound of the door creaking open.
In walked a group of people, dragging in a lady and chaining her up next to me. It was hard to make out her face in the dim light, but her scent was familiar. They poured water over her, and she stirred, eventually opening her eyes. It was Mia, I was surprised to see her here, at least they brought someone I knew.
The group sneered at us before leaving the room. It was just Mia and me, chained up together. I decided to break the silence and shout out her name, hoping to get some answers. She looked weak and frail,
