“It's no news Ciranda's, death is something I wish and pray for all the time, soon the moon goddess will bless me and my request will be granted. I am nothing but I will be something in the afterlife.” he looked at me with anger in his eyes. His friends were not shocked at my altering. I am a princess treated worse than a pauper, what was there to hope for?
I can't leave without them killing me, so praying for death is my next best alternative. I watched from outside as my brother failed every question asked by his teacher, he has always been the dumb sibling, always partying, smoking around with friends, and going shopping for luxurious cars or car racing. Studying has never been part of his schedule which has earned him the name “‘big baby” for he is still in lower grade and all his friends and mates are over in college. It was amusing seeing him prove to be nothing but their lapdog. I am more intelligent than him, I have taken lessons all my life from the windows and creeps of the classroom.
I woke up late into the night, the faint smell of smoke surrounded the castle. It was an odd hour for the maids to cook, and clashing sword sounds came from all around me. I climbed out of my bed, there was no time for me to figure out what to wear. Climbing out of the attic, everything thing was in chaos, soldiers fighting, secret wolves of the shadow clan surrounded my family, they were leading them away towards the secret passage.
I tried reaching out to them but they just stared at him and shut the door to my face. I was left behind to fend for myself, to die, a misery death. I could feel my cheeks wet, how wicket was my parents. The fire gained more ground, and my lungs locked out of oxygen. My head heavy, I fall to the ground and with me feel thousands of soldiers. Blood filled the grounds. “Burn everything, it is time to eradicate the disgusting reign of the Coppers within the supernatural realm” the soldiers of the enemy clan chanted in victory.
The room was too dark to see, I wish I could be freed, how can they leave me behind like I am nothing to them? Everything gradually became blurry, I could barely see beyond my nose. A figure swats down close to me, I am not sure if it is a vampire or a wolf, however, the end result will be the same death.
I woke up from the chirping sounds of birds, the sunray sneaking through the curtains that hit my eyes making me shut them quickly as I opened them again everything about my surroundings felt off. I haven't slept in a bed as cachous as the one I am present in all my life. Everything was white and grey, it looked luxurious and wealthy, also I could tell by just a first glance the room belonged not to me.
Everything gradually came back to me, the fire, the invasion of my land, my parents looking at me dead in the eye and closing the only way of safety and survival in my face. I was supposed to be dead, I woke up in a strange land, was I taken as a prisoner? Even if I was, why would I be treated as a queen? I felt the duvet over me, it felt so soothing and soft over my skin. The sheets were as white as snow.
“Youre awake, my little wolf”’ I jump to my feet realizing I am not alone. A man lay on the couch at the extreme end of the room shirtless with a coffee mug in his hand. his shirt off, his ocean-blue eyes staring back at me, with so much curiosity and wonder, his golden hair shining from the reflection of the sun, his muscles… oh my god, I will give anything to feel those sixpacks.
“‘If you should continue staring at me in that manner, I may as well take you hear and now”’ I just realized all I had on me was a T-shirt which I assume to be his, with no bra and undergarments.
“‘What have you done? What did you do to me? That's all I have, it was all I had, I have protected it for 18 long years and all it took for you is just a day, how dare”’ he stood there staring at me with a wide smirk. “‘Come on, youre mine, your body, and everything belong to me’”’ A knock from the door interrupted us. Before he could usher the nuisance in, the door flung open as they invited themselves in.
A little girl walked in, she was of the same age as me or maybe a year older. She had long lashes and dark brown hair, styled in two accompanied by a set of indigo eyes. She looked like a goddess in the making. Her attributes were childish, she walked up to the man from before and hugged him tight.
‘’You promised you were going to invite me as soon as sister inlaw woke up, how unfair can you be Mckenny?”’
“‘Sister inlaw? Who was she referring to as sister-in-law? I dont even have a mate let alone a husband”’ I casually took a second look around the room to make sure there was another female beside me, but there was no one. She pouted her lips like a baby making her even more cute. So his name is Mckenny.
That name sounded awfully familiar, I have not met somany people in this short-lived life of mine. I have always had a good memory. Oh no, he is Mckenny Goldon alpha of the mysterious Central Crown Park, how can life be this cruel, I thought I was saved only to end up in the castle of my family’s ash enemy, from the jaws of a lion straight down to its bowel.
Unknown Pov. It's been a week since the massive death that swept across the land of Limfieya. Friends and loved ones came from far and near to mourn with them, but like everything, it came to an end. Chimere sits in the prince’s room opposite hers gently rocking the baby to sleep. He has been nothing but a good boy. She felt he understood the situation. Chimere sings for him as he drifts off to sleep. Evera, the newly appointed lady in waiting for Chimere and caretaker of the baby walks in calmly trying hard not to wake the sleeping baby. “What?” Chimere asked not to take her eyes off the baby. “the elders…. they want to see you” Evera announced, squatting down and taking the baby off her mistress’s hands. “I will take care of him,” she assures Chimere, who places a soft kiss on his forehead before walking off. The castle has not been the same without everyone. the rooms were suddenly so empty for her liking, her parent's room was locked and she dared not go in. Chimere walks to
Unknown Pov. Everything they had accomplished came flashing. from the time they first met, to the times they had to stay away from each other. a sad smile crept on Seranda’s face at the thought of their daughter. Chimere will have to stay alone, she will have to move on to be the very best leader the people could ever ask for. Seranda could only watch her mate wallow in pain and heartache as his life slipped away from his grip. She painfully crawled towards him, taking his hands in hers. “I am here” was all she mouthed before another mouthful of blood came coughing its way out. her life was gradually falling away and there was nothing she could do. Laurana lay on the side of Ciranda waiting for death to come, her mate was dead and Seranda knew just how painful it felt because she was watching hers severely right before her with no words. Mckenny couldn't open his bloodshot eyes, the pain was too much to handle. every part of him was threatened like melting lava, he could feel hi
Unknown Pov. Chimere stood by the railing, her eyes not peeling off from the direction of her parents. The elders kept bringing up ideas but she could not bring herself to stay focused with them. Time was ticking rather slowly and no matter how many times she looked, the soldiers were still on standby which was a thing of relief but also the worst possible anxiety. Chimere has tried every other way to get out to the hold of the Elders to no avail. Elder Morgan was rather joyous over her decision to ride on and meet her parents but Elder Fern wasn't in support. He couldn't bring himself to watch the old heir to the throne ride on to her possible death. “We can't go after them,” elder Fern kept repeating. The castle was on lockdown. The death of his daughter had been all he needed to know what path to be on. Morgan has always been selfish and deep down he could see the friend in him was long gone and lost.“Let the princess go, her presence could change so much for us,” Elder Morga
Unknown pov. Mckenny and Greggory led the men while Seranda was stationed behind them. Mckenny couldn't afford to have his mate take the first arrow. Cirenda stood alone, waiting on them. This was weird. “Caution,” Mckenny’s voice echoes. Ciranda has always been the type to play sneaky behind their backs and he was not going to walk into a well-thought-out plan. Mckenny took the lead with Seranda while Greg waited with their men. Mckenny took his human form holding tight to the hands of his mate. “Let me talk to him... I don't know what I am hoping for but I pray to the goddess he listens” Mckenny nodded, giving her hand a little squeak. “Whatever outcome, you will always have me” The couple walks up closer to the man standing in black like a funeral processor. his eyes carried no sense of feeling, he was rather so fragile than the last time they had met, Seranda could not bring herself to not worry. Cirenda had his head on the ground casually kicking rocks like they were kids a
Unknown Pov. Laurana couldn't bring herself to sleep, not when the night was old and weary. The cold breeze blows through her skin, making her body shiver in discomfort. Tonight was different from every other night, she could feel the rumbling danger suspended on the horizon, and she could feel the pain held from within. “Can you hear me?” she asked, staring at the dazzling moon, her eyes filled with unspoken words and emotions. He was close yet so far. her hands graze over her baby bump. “I do not know what the future holds for us.. but I am certain you will live a great life and be well loved.” her silent prayers for the wellbeing of her baby and his big cousin went straight into the listening ears of the smiling moon. The first wolwl of the morning came from a distance but it did not bring peace to her soul. Laurana watched the dark give way to light on her balcony over a glass of water and some sweets. “Laura..” a voice came from outside. she could tell it was the Queen even
Unknown Pov. Laurana held on tight to her baby bump. She would rather be banished than have to tell who the father of her baby was. “I can” Laurana speaks up, her voice barely audible. Chimere could feel her pain, her fears were the same. “What right do they have to ask such questions huh? I am the mother and only I decide who gets to know about the lineage of my baby and who not to tell. don't overstep your boundary” “We do not take that away from you Laurana” Elder Morgan replied. “For the safety of the land and everyone, is it only right that you tell us who the father of your baby is? we can't have another abomination waiting to happen when it could have been avoided before birth?” Laurana couldn't hold back her laugh. her hand caressing her baby protectively. This was out of love, she would do anything to have him again and even if she is on her deathbed she would change nothing of their encounters. “an abomination?” Laurana scoffs. “My child who has not seen the world is
