Even now, I couldn't imagine that Lara was related to the man I resented all my life. I muttered curses under my breath as I placed the necessary documents on the table. Despite Alex's advice not to implicate Lara in her father's wrongdoing, I couldn't resist directing my anger towards her.
Suddenly, my phone rang. I hurriedly picked it up even though the number was not familiar, for I thought it could be a business-related matter.
"Hello, Alpha Magnus?" a man's voice spoke from the other line.
"Yes, who is this, please?" I asked with curiosity.
"This is Alpha Callum. I just wanted to inform you that Lara was out of reach. She was at the villa earlier, but after talking with Daddy and Mommy, she left in a car. As her husband, I presume you have the right to find her," he informed me.
I was momentarily speechless. In my mind, she could go wherever she wanted to, even in hell.
