I was feeding my baby when vampires barged in unexpectedly, of course, my first instinct was to protect my baby under ever cost but they were just way too many. They feared they were too late and the alpha king had already faced the wrath of Emilia.They cursed themselves for being held back a couple days at the vampire territory; apparently, going out was not as easy as coming in for them. They were side tracked by a few on their way to the main borders, they had tried to bribe them like they did with the other guards they had met earlier and, that was when things fell apart.The guards saw it as an insult to collect or receive money from a werewolf although, their currency was surprisingly higher than theirs. Narrator’s POV.Daphne looked like she had seen a ghost and so did Fredrick and Sarah. They were the least expected people on Daphne’s list; maybe not Sarah, but Fredrick coming there was a huge surprise to her.They on the other hand were not expecting her to be there, was she even the one? She looked completely different; her face had lost its glow and her lips were pale, her hair was way longer than before and Sarah made a mental note to give her a major haircut as soon as possible. Desiree’s POV.They say that you always have two choices; to choose the path others made for you or make your own path and take it the way you want to. Sometimes, you might feel as though other people know what is best for you, like they know you better than you know yourself- that is complete bullshit.Yes, I have made some bad choices in the past, most of which affected my relationship with a lot of people but the question is; did I regret it?No, I did not and I will gladly make those bad decisions a million times over if they were to bring me to where I was today. Obviously, people will always be there to remind you every goddamn time of every mistake you have made but it is solely up to you to give a damn or care about all they have to say.Mistakes are made to be learned from; you make shitty mistakes so they would not happen again. You have to make bad decisions to make good ones, never allow anybody’s opinion affect your life in anyway and never do anything to regret it later

Narrator’s POV.Three days had gone and the alpha king’s castle was buzzing with anxiousness over the arrival of the humans. The generous luna queen had asked the servants to prepare themselves and the chefs to make them proper, standard meals fit for kings- they were allies after all.The alpha king had been frantic throughout the day, he was definitely not anticipating their arrival as much as his mate did.
