Bound to the Alpha I must kill; A Dravenmoor Academy Romance

“You’re supposed to be my enemy,” Xavier said, his thumb brushing over Lucien’s lower lip. “Why then do you smell like mine?” Lucien trembled, his hands had somehow found Xavier’s waist. “Kiss me, and I’ll still kill you.” His voice shook as he talked, but he maintained his stance. Xavier let out a low, humorless breath. “I still get to kiss you then.” He moved his face closer to Lucien’s, “And maybe also kill you before you get the chance to kill me first.” ~ This wasn’t how it was meant to be. Lucien Thorne only wanted to survive Dravenmoor Academy long enough to save his dying mother. And as a scholarship student, staying invisible was the plan. Then the moon goddess chose two supreme leaders for the academy instead of one, and bound Lucien to the one person he couldn’t afford to want; Xavier Lockwood. Now the only way to save his dying mother is to either rise above the golden boy who makes his blood burn, or to end the competition by killing him completely. Every step toward saving his mother drags him deeper into Xavier’s orbit — and closer to a choice that will leave only one of them standing. And when that choice arrives, whose life will he truly choose to protect?

Chapter: Chapter 32: Jealousy much?
Lucien told Elias about Duke’s threat over breakfast the next morning. Hr couldn’t get that information off his mind all through and he had only come up with one question since then… If Duke was telling people to not vote for him, did it mean that he was campaigning for Xavier then?Elias wasn’t really surprised. Instead, he looked like someone who had been waiting for that specific type of problem. “He actually can’t flag anyone for conduct review for no just reason.” Elias said. “He doesn’t even have the standing for that at all. The only issue here is that the threat works whether or not it’s real, because scared people don’t verify and they definitely won’t vote.” “So how do we counter it?” “We make the scared people more scared of something real. Specifically the idea of things that would happen if they allow their fear to overtake them.” “You think that would work?” Lucien asked him. “You should know how much those omegas repulse the idea of being considered as weak like t

Chapter: Chapter 31: Intoxicated
Lucien woke up with the memory of Xavier’s thumb dragging across his lips and for once, he considered staying in bed and reminiscing about the entire time at the hot spring. But he didn’t. With a tired groan, he dragged himself over to the restroom and had one of the longest baths he had ever had. For some reason, he could still smell Xavier on himself, and he knew the only reason Finn hadn’t really smelt it out was that Finn was a Beta, and betas have much lower smelling abilities. But Alphas who he’d mingle with wouldn’t take any time in smelling his supposed sworn enemy on him. And that’s what he couldn’t afford to risk. By the time he stepped out of the restroom, his body was a bit achy from how hard he had scrubbed his skin. He found Elias almost immediately after he stepped into the corridor, and he smiled in greeting first. “I was thinking that I’d have to come over to your room and drag your ass out of bed.” Elias taunted. “Thankfully there’s no need for that.” “Yeah, ye

Chapter: Chapter 30: Reminiscence
After breakfast, Elias dragged Lucien around and made them do more physical campaigns. It seemed that he kept discovering new sides to Elias every time and the one he discovered today was his crazily energetic side. Finn abandoned them just one hour into the campaign, but Elias stood tall. And since Lucien was the one being campaigned for, he just had to be in it. By evening, his body was screaming for rest and some alone time. He was so tired that he practically dragged himself over to the hot spring, not bothering to go back to the dormitory. He had fully relaxed in the water when the large doors came open just like he knew they would. And of course, it was Xavier. His jaw clenched hard as he remembered his new resolution; getting away from Xavier Lockwood. It seemed that was impossible at that moment. “Thought I’d meet you here.” He said as he walked closer and sank deep into the water. “What can I do? This place is more relaxing than anywhere else in this world.”

Chapter: Chapter 29: Come Again
He shifted on his seat, suddenly feeling like everyone in the cafeteria had shifted their attention to him. The omegas looked serious with all of them staring at him like they were waiting for that guy to say their mind. “I’d really love to know what brought about that notion.” He said, picking his words carefully. He rested his back against the chair he sat on, relaxing like someone who wouldn’t leave without getting a response. One of the omegas chuckled, completely unamused. “You came to this academy as a mere omega, Thorne. Over the months of your stay here, you know how you were treated. Yet when the moon goddess nominated you as supreme alpha, you discarded us like we don’t exist.” Another person continued, “And now when you suddenly need votes to win, you remember that you’re one of us and you’ll need our votes. If that’s not selfishness, then I don’t know what is.” Lucien wished right there that he had prepared himself adequately for this confrontation like Elias had tol

Chapter: Chapter 28: A flicker of light
The mere sight of Marcel did something which he couldn’t explain to his brain. Actually, he didn’t expect to feel normal towards a man like Marcel who he knew to be very powerful, but it just seemed very different at that moment. It felt like he was staring at a man who he was meant to… destroy? He wasn’t sure about how best to place the feeling but he sure wasn’t okay. Elias cleared his throat, bringing him back to reality. Only then did Lucien look away from Xavier and Marcel. “Heard that man is pretty powerful.” Elias said. “And he’s surely the one sponsoring his son’s campaign. We really have a lot of work to do.” He added with raised brows. Lucien sparsely nodded because whatever Elias just said didn’t even register in his brain at all. Xavier moved away from his father’s car and the man drove away. Elias said something again beside him but he didn’t still hear, his gaze was focused on Xavier’s angry form instead. Xavier stomped off towards the opposite direction

Chapter: Chapter 27: Campaign
“And what do you mean when you say we’ll do it differently?” Lucien asked, completely curious to know what was going on in Elias’s head. “Xavier’s team have launched their first procedure which is these campaign posters. How about we go ahead of them and let them see that campaign goes beyond just flyers and money flaunting.” Elias explained, adding an air quote to the last four words. “You’re suggesting that we should campaign without posters?” Lucien asked with raised brows. “If you’ll put it that way. But yes, we wouldn’t rely heavily on posters. And I’ve not been here for so long, but I think I know well enough to know that Xavier would do little to no physical campaigns.” “Well, that’s because the students around would do it for him anyway.” Lucien shrugged. “This really doesn’t look like it’ll go well. I’m never going to stand a chance against the majority’s favorite.” He had already started to envision the nasty stares he’d get from the students if he ever tried to approac
