Chapter: Chapter 124: The Race Against Fate cont'd
Now, in the present, Ralph leaned on the railing, the wind tearing at his cloak. He had tried to stop. He had tried to break free. But Aldric's messengers always found him, constantly reminding him that he was bounded to Aldric as a slave. And tomorrow's plan, the attack through the mountain pass, has already been sent to Bloodfang. He could not undo it, irrespective of how badly he wanted to. He closed his eyes, whispering to himself."I am deeply sorry, Edwin... I swear, I tried not to be a part of this downfall, but my hands are tied. "Behind him, footsteps echoed. Tiara's raven had landed on the railing, her letter still bound to its leg.He untied it, curious, and as he read the first lines, his blood ran cold."When the moon bleeds again, the one you trust most will lead you to the edge."He stared at the words for a long time, his

Chapter: Chapter 123:The Race Against Fate
The wind howled through the mountain trails, sharp as blades and cold enough to slice through fur and bone.Tiara gripped the reins tighter, her wolf form pushing through the blizzard. Her mind screamed only one thought over and over again. She had to reach Edwin before dawn. The vision would not stop haunting her: Ralph standing beside Aldric, his eyes empty, his claws dripping with Edwin's blood. It was not just any type of vision, neither was it a warning. It was a prophecy. She had seen death in it. Edwin's death. Her heart thudded painfully against her chest as she leaped over a fallen tree, paws pounding against the snow. Every breath was a gasp of icy air, every stride fueled by desperation."Please, Moon Goddess," she whispered between gasps, "Do not let me be too late. Keep Edwin safe for me, and protect him from every arrow of de

Meanwhile, within the Dark Moon pack, Ralph made his way through the torch-lit corridor, unaware of the eyes watching him.A figure lingered in the shadows, a wolf cloaked in the color of night, carrying a parchment sealed in wax.The figure stepped out only when Ralph had turned the corner, moving swiftly toward the stables where a raven waited. The parchment bore Edwin's seal copied perfectly. It was a map.A map showing troop positions, supply routes, and the mountain pass Edwin intended to use for his first strike. The cloaked figure tied the map to the raven's leg, whispering softly:"Fly to Bloodfang. Deliver this to the Alpha."As the bird took flight, the figure exhaled deeply, a single tear tracing down their cheek.Because betrayal never came easy, especially when the traitor was someone

Chapter: Chapter 121:Tiara's Vision
While the Alpha schemed in the storm, Tiara slept fitfully miles away, haunted by shadows. The fire in her chamber burned low, casting trembling light across her face. Her dreams came in fragments. They came like flashes of crimson, the scent of blood, the echo of wolves howling under a burning moon. Then, silence.A figure appeared in the fog before her. It was a woman, pale and ethereal, her eyes bright as starlight. Tiara knew that voice, though she had not heard it since childhood."My daughter," the voice whispered. "The moon shows what is coming.""Mother?" Tiara breathed, her voice trembling. Her mother reached out a hand that shimmered like mist."War comes again, Tiara. But this time, it will not be between packs. It will be between hearts, between vengeance and destiny.""You speak in par

Chapter: Chapter 120:The Hidden Hand cont'd
The silence between them stretched, heavy and sharp.Garrett slumped again, his voice dropping to a rasp. "You think you are the first Alpha Aldric used? He has been doing this for decades, sowing wars, trading power, bleeding packs dry. He will never stop. Not until he owns every territory under the moon."Edwin's gaze hardened. "Then I will stop him."Garrett gave a hoarse laugh. "You will try. But Aldric isn't like me. He is clever. He hides behind alliances, treaties, oaths. You won't find him easily."Edwin turned to leave, but Garrett's voice stopped him."Edwin."He paused."You have already taken everything from me," Garrett quietly said. "But if you go after Aldric, don't make my mistake. Do not become him."Edwin's jaw tightened, but he didn't reply. He simply walked out, the iron door s

Chapter: Chapter 119:The Hidden Hand
It began with a letter.Ralph brought it into Alpha's chamber one cold evening, his boots echoing against the stone floor. The air was thick with the scent of rain; thunder rumbled faintly in the distance."Ralph," Edwin called the moment he entered into his study. "What brings you here at this time of the day?""My lord, I come bearing news. One that needs to be urgently attended to," Ralph said, stretching out his hand."Where did you get this from?" Edwin asked, not looking up from the reports before him."Intercepted," Ralph replied. "One of our scouts found it on a rogue messenger outside the border. He said he wanted to ignore it at first, but he could not overlook it when he spotted that it was marked with the Bloodfang insignia."At that, Edwin's eyes lifted sharply. "Bloodfang?"Ralph nodded grimly. "Yes, Alph

UNMASKED: The Heiress' Cold Revenge

You were a three-year charity project, Elena. Now, the project is over." On their third anniversary, Julian Thorne didn't bring flowers. He brought a divorce decree and his mistress, Elena’s own adopted sister, Sarah Vance. To Julian, Elena was just the plain, penniless orphan the Vances took in after a tragic fire, a convenient pawn he used to bleed the Vance fortune dry. He never loved her; he only married her to fund a merger while secretly warming Sarah’s bed. He expected Elena to beg. He expected her to crumble. Instead, she signs the papers with a chilling smile and hands him a gift of her own: A total bankruptcy notice for the Thorne Group. Unmasked as the legendary Blackwood Heiress, Elena is ready to watch the world burn. But the trap has two sides. A hidden Reconciliation Clause forces her to still appear and be with her cheating husband and her backstabbing sister for thirty days, or she loses her claim to the Blackwood throne while Julian loses the Thorne-Vance merger. When Sarah frames her for a high-profile theft to get her out of the way, Elena finds herself in a cold jail cell, until the "Executioner" of Wall Street, Theo Sterling, appears. He offers her a Devil’s bargain: a contract marriage to save her from her predatory cousin, Lucius Blackwood, who is hellbent on declaring her mentally unfit to seize her empire. Elena falls for her savior, unaware of the blood on his hands. Theo is atoning for a sin she doesn’t know exists: his own father was the arsonist who murdered her parents. Trapped between a husband who wants her wealth, a sister who wants her life, and a lover whose family killed her past, Elena must decide.

Chapter: Chapter 19: The Cold Reality
THE HEIRESS' COLD REVENGEThe municipal intake center was as cold as the outside world. It smelled of cheap bleach and the sharp, metallic scent of rain on hot asphalt. As usual, Julian stood on a line that snaked around the corner to sign into the facility, his expensive wool coat now a heavy, sodden weight on his shoulders. Every few minutes, the line shuffled forward an inch.He kept his head down, staring at the dry and breaking heels of the man in front of him. This was a world of forced patience. No one cared who he was, no one liked at him twice: here, he was just another body waiting for a bed and a plastic bowl of soup.Across town, the environment was the polar opposite. Elena sat in her new office, the one that used to be Julian’s: right at the top of the Thorne-Blackwood tower. The mahogany desk had been replaced with a slab of polished black granite. Theo stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, holding a tablet i

Chapter: Chapter 18: The Pawned Legacy
THE HEIRESS' COLD REVENGE Julian walked for nearly two hours before he found a pawn shop that was still open. The sign on the window flickered with a dull neon hum, casting a blue light over the cracked pavement. His coat was damp, and his shoes that were once polished to a mirror shine, were now caked with a layer of grey city grime from his ordeal. He stepped inside. The shop was small and it smelled of old dust and cold metal. Behind a thick layer of scratched plexiglass stood a man with a grey beard and a magnifying loupe around his neck looked up from a tray of silver coins."How can I help you?" the man asked, in a flat tone.Julian didn't speak immediately. Instead he reached for his left wrist and unbuckled the Patek Philippe. The weight of the watch felt significant in his hand, it was a piece of engineering that cost more than a high-end luxury sedan. He slid it through the small opening at the bottom of the glass."I need to liquidate this," Julian said. He tried to keep

Chapter: Chapter 17: The Fall of a Titan
THE HEIRESS' COLD REVENGEThe walk from the boardroom to the elevator was less than a two minutes walk, but to Julian, it felt like a thousand years under a spotlight.Theo had two men from his security team follow exactly three paces behind him: not as a courtesy, but as vacuums. When the elevator doors opened on the ground floor, the quiet on the executive levels was replaced by a truckload of noise. The lobby was swarming with reporters. News of the hostile takeover had traveled faster than the elevator."Julian!""Talk to us.""Is it true the Blackwood Trust has seized your personal assets?" a reporter from a financial news outlet shouted, shoving a microphone in his face."Mr. Thorne, how do you respond to the allegations of shell company fraud?" another screamed."Have you actually been overthrown or are these just rumors?""How did you marry the Blackwood's heiress and not mak

Chapter: Chapter 16: The Hostile Takeover
THE HEIRESS' COLD REVENGEThe boardroom of the Thorne Group had always been Julian’s stage, but today, the atmosphere said otherwise.Eleven men sat around the long mahogany table in the room, their eyes darting between Julian and the door. The digital ticker on the wall showed the company’s stock in a steady, crimson decline."He is ten minutes late, Julian," Arthur Vance muttered, checking his gold watch for the third time. "Julian, if this investor of yours is a no-show, the banks will trigger the margin calls before the markets close. We will be insolvent by morning and I will skin you alive for wasting my time and for the ridicule."Julian adjusted his cufflinks, though his fingers were cold. "It is no news that investors like to make an entrance, Arthur. Sit down. I have told you that this will work, we have the leverage of the upcoming merger. No one buys forty percent of a company unless they intend to

Chapter: Chapter 15: The Lion’s Den
THE HEIRESS' COLD REVENGEThe boardroom was ready, but Elena wasn't. Instead of heading to the 80th floor of the Sterling tower like everyone had expected, she took a black car to a gated estate on the outskirts of the city: the Blackwood's ancestral home. It was a place built from heavy stones and even heavier secrets. Her grandfather, Silas Blackwood, sat in a library that had thousands of old books nearly arranged on shelves and cold ambition. He didn't look like a man proud of his granddaughter; he looked like a king assessing a potential traitor. On the desk between them sat a small, velvet-lined box and inside it was the Blackwood Seal, the physical key to the family’s untraceable offshore holdings and the final word in any Thorne Group takeover."You want me to just hand this over to you?" Silas asked, his voice like gravel. "For three years, you let that boy, that incompetent imbecile, Julian treat you like a servan

Chapter: Chapter 14: The Final Lock
THE HEIRESS'S COLD REVENGEThe taxi Julian boarded dropped him off three blocks away from Sarah’s old apartment because he only had enough loose change in his pocket to cover the fare that far. He had to walk the rest of the way, his designer shoes were now scuffed and his pride, a jagged ruin. As he walked, he could not help but bury his head in shame. He had been the same one who had drove luxurious cars into the estate, but now, he was trekking and staggering like a drunk in the place he had once visited in secret to bring Sarah expensive gifts. Now, it was his only hope for a roof over his head.Eventually getting to the modest brick walk-up house, he stopped by the front stoop and fumbled for the spare key Sarah had given him months ago. He jammed it into the lock, twisting with desperate force and frustration. It didn't turn.He tried again, this time, his breath was coming in ragged gasps. He kicked the door once, twice, the sound echoing through the quiet street. "Sarah! Open
