I Fell In Love With Two Rogue Brothers On The Run

I Fell In Love With Two Rogue Brothers On The Run

I have died twice. And both times, the same man killed me. My name is Amara. I am an Omega, which in this world means I am the last to eat, the first to be sold, and the easiest to forget. I was born into a cold house, into a family that looked through me like glass. And I carry inside my chest the memories of two other lives, two other versions of me who stood in the same place I'm standing now and did not make it out. I know his name. Corvus. Dark Alpha. The man who rejected me the first time like I was something he scraped off his boot, and the second time handled me like something he needed to erase quietly before anyone noticed. I know what he's capable of. I know what his eyes look like right before the end. And I know that whatever arrangement my useless excuse for a family has made with his people, I am not going to stand here and let it happen a third time. I have a plan. It has holes in it. It might get me killed again. And then two men kick my door open and the plan becomes irrelevant. "We're taking you with us," the serious one says. Just like that. Like it's already done. Like I don't have a single thing to say about it. And then there's the other one, leaning against my wall with that infuriating almost-smile, who adds: "You can say no. It won't change anything. But you can say it." I say no. It doesn't change anything. I go with them anyway, because Corvus is coming and these two impossible men are the better option. That's what I tell myself. That's the only reason.

Chapter: CHAPTER 10
Amara"Up," Aldric said. His hand was on my shoulder. It was the first time he had ever touched me. His palm was heavy and his grip was very firm.I was on my feet before I even opened my eyes. When you have lived three lives, you learn that some things are more important than sleep. One of those things is listening to a man who knows how to kill."Is it them?" I whispered. My heart was thumping against my ribs."Not yet," Aldric said. He moved his hand away. "But they are close. We leave now.""Sela, get up," I said. I shook her arm. She let out a small, scared sound."What's happening?" Sela asked. Her voice was shaky. "Is someone coming?""Be quiet and pack your things," Bram said. He was already moving. He was rolling up his bedroll so fast it looked like magic. "Do it now, Sela.""I’m trying," Sela said. She was fumbling with her bag. Her fingers were shaking too much to tie the strings."Let me help," Zane said. He was usually the one making jokes. But now, his face was differen

Chapter: CHAPTER 9
Aldric“She is hiding things from us, Aldric,” Bram said.I did not stop sharpening my sword.I already knew every single thing he was about to tell me.My mind does not work like Zane’s. Zane looks at a person and sees a friend or an enemy. I look at a person and I see a system. I see the way their weight shifts. I see the way they breathe. I see the exits they pick.I had been watching Amara since the first night.I did not know why she did these things. I just knew she did them.“She knows things she shouldn’t know,” Bram said, sitting down across from me. “I watched her today. She was looking at the way you tied the horses. She wasn’t looking like a girl who wants to learn. She was looking like a person who knows how to undo it.”I ran the stone over the steel. It made a long, hissing sound.“I know,” I said.“You know?” Bram asked. He leaned forward. “How long have you known?”“Since the first night,” I said.Bram stared at me. He looked like he was trying to figure out a map tha

Chapter: CHAPTER 8
Amara"You look like you’ve been walking since the world started," the old man said, pulling the heavy wooden door open before Zane could even knock."We need a place for the night," Zane said. He sounded tired. Even his shoulders looked heavy."I have beds and I have stew," the man said. He stepped back to let us in. "I’m Olan. Come in out of the wind. It’s biting tonight."The warmth hit me the second I stepped over the wood floor."Sit," Olan said. He pointed at a long table. "I’ll get the bowls."I sat on the edge of the bench. I kept my pack on my lap. "How much?" I asked.Olan stopped moving. He was reaching for some clay bowls on a shelf. He looked back at me and tilted his head. "How much for what, girl?""The food. The floor. We don't have much, but I don't want to owe you."Olan didn't look mad. He just looked... peaceful. Like he had never had a bad thought in his life. "You don't owe me for soup. Usually, people tell me a story or help me sweep, but I don't trade for hunge

Chapter: CHAPTER 7
ZaneI saw them leave the camp last night. I saw Aldric follow her into the dark. I didn’t say a word about it."You’re staring at the fire again," Aldric said. He was sitting across from me, poking the embers with a stick. He looked like he hadn't slept, which made one of us."I’m not staring," I said, putting on my best grin. "I’m contemplating the heat. It’s a very deep subject. You wouldn't get it.""You’re thinking about her," he said. He didn't even look up."I’m thinking about breakfast," I lied. "And how much my feet hurt. And how you look like you fell off a cliff and landed on your face. Did she hit you? Please tell me she hit you. I’d pay gold to see that."Aldric didn't laugh. He never laughs when I want him to. "She didn't hit me. We just talked.""Talked," I repeated. "How romantic. Did you discuss the weather? Or the fact that she told both of us to go to hell yesterday? Because I’m still stuck on that part. Nobody says no to us, Aldric. It’s not even an ego thing. It’s

Chapter: CHAPTER 6
AmaraMy heart was still thumping like a trapped bird. Corvus was ahead. That thought was big... making it hard to breathe, hard to even pretend to sleep. Everyone was asleep. Everyone but me.How could I sleep?I lay there for a long time. Too long. My eyes were open, staring at the dark trees against the even darker sky. I needed to move. I needed to think with my feet.I pushed myself up. My boots were already on, I never took them off all the way. My small pack, the one with my knife and my water skin, was right beside me. I picked it up. It felt light. Good. Then a voice came from right behind me. "Where are you planning to go?"It wasn't loud. It wasn't angry. It was just... there. My stomach dropped. I spun around, fast. He was four feet away. Aldric. He just stood there. Like he had been there the whole time. But he hadn't. I hadn't heard him move.I didn't have a good answer. And I hated that. I really, really hated it."I... I needed to..." I trailed off. It sounded stupid.

Chapter: CHAPTER 5
Amara"Is this really what it’s like?" I asked, and my voice sounded small, even to me. The trees stood so tall they scraped the sky, even the night sky. I’d never seen the sky without roofs or walls cutting it up before."What, the outside?" The man, the one who talked a lot, chuckled. "Yeah, sweet pea. This is it. No walls. Just... all of it." He pointed at nothing and everything with his chin. "Name's Zane, by the way. This quiet one is Aldric."The quiet one, Aldric, just nodded. He sat across the dying fire, staring at the trees. He didn’t smile, not even a little bit. Zane, though, he grinned. His eyes were friendly."I'm Amara." I felt a little silly saying my name after being called 'sweet pea' and 'little bird' so many times already through the long walk."Amara," Zane repeated, like he was trying it out. He sounded nice when he said it. "Alright, Amara. First night out. You gonna be okay sleeping with all these trees?""I don't know," I said honestly. It was weird. The groun

REBORN TO BREAK YOU

REBORN TO BREAK YOU

I died with my mother's name on my lips and the face of the man who killed her burned into my memory. I woke up two years later in a stranger's body with gentle hands and no past... just a quiet life, a herb garden, and the kind of peace that feels too clean to be real. I did not know who I was. I did not know what I had lost. Not yet. Then I found him bleeding in the forest. And I made the worst decision of my second life... I saved him. His name is Caius. He is the Alpha of Ironblood Pack, the most powerful and feared wolf in three territories. He is cruel in the way that powerful men are cruel... not with raised voices, but with absolute certainty that the world belongs to him. He looked at me with those cold eyes and he saw a healer. A useful thing. He brought me into his pack like a man bringing home a tool he found on the road. What I did not plan for was him. Not the real version of him... the one that shows up at the healer wing at strange hours with small injuries and no good reason to be there. The one who looks at me like I am something he cannot figure out. The one who, for the first time in what I suspect is his entire life, seems to want to be a better man. He is falling for me. And the worst part, the part I will never say out loud, is that I feel it too. My name is Maren. He does not know that yet. But he will.

Chapter: CHAPTER 47: LYRA IN THE CROSSFIRE
SennaThe sound of the soup tray hitting the floor was louder than any scream. “Watch where you’re going, girl,” a man named Kol said. He was a mid-level wolf, the kind who thinks being ranked means he can be a bully. He didn’t just trip her. He had stuck his foot out on purpose. I saw it from across the room while I was drinking my tea.Lyra was on her knees. She didn't look up. She started trying to pick up the broken pieces of ceramic with her bare hands. Her fingers were shaking.“I’m sorry,” Lyra whispered. “I’m so sorry. I’ll clean it up. I’ll get more.”Kol laughed and looked at his three friends. They were all sitting there, watching her like she was a show.“You’re a clumsy little thing, aren’t you?” Kol said. He kicked a piece of bread across the floor. “Maybe if you spent more time looking at the floor instead of trying to look at the warriors, you wouldn’t be such a mess.”“I wasn’t looking at anyone,” Lyra said. She sounded like she was going to cry. “Please, I’ll fix it

Chapter: CHAPTER 46: CAIUS IN THE MORNING
CaiusI haven’t slept right in three days.Every time I close my eyes, I see the Great Hall and I see her.It is making me angry because I don’t like things I can’t control. The infirmary is quiet. She is sitting at her wooden table, leaning over a bowl. She is grinding something with a heavy stone. She doesn't jump when I walk in. She doesn't even pause."Good morning," she says. She doesn't look up from the bowl. "Do you have an injury?""No," I say."Then I’ll be with you when I finish this compound."She keeps working. The stone makes a scraping sound against the bowl. Scrape. Scrape. Scrape.I don't leave. I walk over to the patient chair and I sit down. I sit there and I watch her. I watch the way her hair falls over her shoulder. I watch her hands. They are steady. Most people’s hands shake when I’m in the room with them. Even my best warriors get a little stiff when I’m watching them closely. She isn't stiff. She is completely calm. It’s the first time in my life I’ve felt lik

Chapter: CHAPTER 45: VERA MOVES
SennaVera finally said it out loud today. She told Dax who she thinks I really am. That changes everything, and it means my time is running out faster than I thought.I was in the infirmary sorting through some dried herbs when Rhea came in. She didn’t look like herself. Her face was very white, and her hands were shaking so much she almost dropped the bowl she was carrying. She leaned against the door and breathed hard."Rhea? What’s wrong?" I asked. I stood up and went to her. "Are you sick?""No," she whispered. She looked down the hallway to make sure no one was there. Then she stepped inside and shut the door. "I was just near the Alpha’s corridor. I was supposed to deliver those reports to the assistant. The door to Dax’s office was open just a little bit."I felt a cold prickle on the back of my neck. "And you heard something.""I heard Vera," Rhea said. She sat down on a stool, her knees looking weak. "She wasn’t even whispering, Senna. She sounded so sure of herself. She was

Chapter: CHAPTER 44: THE DOCUMENT
SennaThe first ray of morning sun sliced through the dusty air of the records room, landing on a stack of reports."Alright, Senna," I whispered to myself, my voice barely a breath. "Time to make this count."I moved through the tall shelves, my fingers tracing the spines of binders. Military treaties, trade agreements, land disputes. "Here we go," I mumbled, pulling out a thick binding labeled 'Diplomatic Arrangements – Ironblood/Ashveil'. This was it. I carried it to a small, worn table. My heart beat a bit faster, a nervous flutter I tried to ignore. "Just breathe. It's just paper."I opened the binder. The annexation documents were on top, all official and neat. Below them, was another sub-file. It was smaller, tucked right underneath, almost hidden. 'Mating Arrangement – Alpha Caius Ironblood & Alpha Aldric Ashveil.'"Okay. You found it," I told myself, my voice so low it was almost just a thought. "Now, what does it say?"I opened the sub-file. The paper felt heavy, important,

Chapter: CHAPTER 43: THE NIGHT IT BREAKS
SennaI wasn’t supposed to feel happy here. Not really. But the warmth of the fire, and the sound of people laughing, it got to me anyway. My chest felt a bit too full, a bit too open, and that was a dangerous feeling. We got that forest land back, the one everyone fought over for so long, and the air in the great hall felt loud and light. Everyone was talking, smiling. It was real. This joy. And for a second, it felt like mine too."You look like you're about to crack a smile, Senna," Lyra said, her own laugh bubbling up. She was piling a plate high with roasted meats and some sweet fruit, her eyes sparkling like the fire. "Careful, it might hurt your face."I just rolled my eyes, but a little smile did tug at my mouth. I couldn't help it. "Don't push it, Lyra. Someone has to be the sensible one around here." I liked Lyra. She was easy. She didn't ask too many questions about why I was always a bit, well, guarded. She just let me be."Sensible just means boring on a night like this,"

Chapter: CHAPTER 42: HE ASKS SOMETHING REAL
SennaThe air was cold. My feet made almost no sound on the walkway. Then I heard him. No, not heard, felt. A quiet shift in the air, maybe. Or just the way I was wired now. He was coming from the other side, just as alone, just as early. Caius. He looked tired. Like he hadn’t slept much, or maybe like he’d been up for hours already, thinking his own dark thoughts. “Morning,” he said, his voice a low rumble in the quiet. “Morning,” I replied. My voice felt small. It always did when it was just him and me, and the world was this quiet. We started walking again, somehow, in the same direction. It wasn't planned. It just happened. Neither of us said anything for a long time. “Do you miss your life before this?” he asked. The question hit me like a stone right in the middle of my chest. It was so direct. So real. My steps didn’t even falter, but a little piece of me did. The safe answer was easy. "No." Or, "It doesn't matter now." But he wasn’t asking for the safe answer. He was asking
