~Chapter Eighty Three~Elara’s POV This place didn’t seem right. We had agreed to leave on the morning flight instead of the evening one. I didn’t know how else to explain that I had seen an attendant standing in the middle of those trees. Neither could I explain the images of the white stone and the feather that had flashed through my mind the moment I touched the lady’s hands. It sounded almost unbelievable. I knew anyone else would think I was losing my mind. Yet, somehow, Kai believed the attendant was there. ~Chapter Eighty One~ Kai’s POV I grabbed his arm before he could leave. “Wait. Whose is that?” The attendant looked down at the rose, confused. “This?” He paused. “It belongs to one of our guests, sir.” I frowned. “Guest?” “Yes. So whoever had sent Elara that rose never came through the front desk? That meant someone knew how to move around the resort without leaving a trace. He never joked about taking showers. Once he was out of sight, I opened my arms and closed my eyes for just a moment, taking in the cool air coming in through the open window. After bathing, Kai said he’d return soon before he left without saying where he was going. I spent the rest of the day exploring the house with Zara while we laughed and danced until we got exhausted. “Thanks to Kai!” she yelled while dancing.
