Loving The Mistress's Husband
Lydia Brown thought she had won in life.
Years ago, she and Ronan started with nothing. When they were struggling to build their company, Lydia mortgaged the house her late father left her, helped secure their first major clients and stood beside Ronan through every difficult stage of their journey.
Then their daughter, Evelyn, was born and Lydia chose her family. She stepped away from her career and handed the company she helped build entirely to her husband.
Years later, Ronan became a successful businessman, and Lydia became the devoted wife everyone envied. She thought her sacrifice had been worth it.
Until a business trip exposed something she wasn't supposed to see. Ronan was with another woman but he had an explanation.
Of course he did. And every suspicious message, unexplained expense, strange property, unfamiliar key and secretive phone call had an explanation.
But then Lydia discovers something that makes her blood run cold. She has to find out if Ronan truly has a mistress. Why does Ronan have a woman hiding behind another name?
And why does she suddenly feel as though the life she helped build is slowly slipping out of her hands?
Instead of confronting her husband, Lydia decides to watch, listen and to pretend she still trusts him. Because if Ronan is hiding something from her, she wants to know exactly what it is.
But the deeper Lydia digs, the more she realizes that the woman threatening her marriage may not be her only problem.

Chapter: Chapter Five
Mrs. BrownThe company looked better than I remembered. Or maybe I had simply become too distant from it.I sat in my car across the street for several seconds, staring through the windshield. The glass building stood exactly where it had always been, its silver letters shining beneath the morning sun.“Brown’s Enterprises.” I remembered when there had been no sign, no glass doors, no reception desk and no polished floors.Just two cramped rooms, a broken air conditioner, and Ronan sitting across from me with a calculator in one hand and a pile of unpaid invoices in the other. We had built this. At least, that's what I used to believe.I picked up my handbag and stepped out of the car. The moment I walked through the entrance, I noticed how little anyone reacted to me.A security guard glanced at me and returned his attention to his phone. Two employees walked past without a second look.I kept moving. The receptionist looked up when I approached the desk. “Good morning.”“Good morning.” I respo

Undeniable Evidence“Don't worry…,” I replied, rushing upstairs to our bedroom.Ronan followed me. He shut the door behind him and sat at the edge of the bed.“Lydia, look at me.”I lifted my eyes to Ronan, his expression unusually serious.“I've been trying to understand what is going on in your head,” he said. “You haven't said much since I came back.”“I’m fine. I just feel a bit off lately.” I avoided his gaze.“You're not fine. Baby, you can talk to me.”He reached for my hand and gently pulled it into his.“You've been thinking about that livestream.”My fingers tightened around his. “And Vivian's message,” I said.“And your friend claimed she saw me. I understand how you feel.”I looked at him again. “You do?”“Yes, I do. I live with you, Lydia. I notice when something is bothering you.”His thumb moved slowly over my knuckles. “You think I'm hiding something from you.”I didn't answer. His silence told me he already knew.“Do you really think I would cheat on you?” He liked me with a warm expres

Ronan's lookalikeFor the rest of the evening, I couldn't stop thinking about Vivian's question.“Did Ronan tell you what happened that night?”Why had she looked so frightened when she asked?Ronan had refused to explain. That bothered me more than the question itself. But I decided not to push him. At least not yet. If there was something going on with Vivian, eventually I'd find out. At least, that's what I told myself. The following afternoon, I was sitting at a café with my best friend, Amelia. When she suddenly said something that made my stomach drop. “I saw Ronan yesterday.”I looked up from my coffee. “What…What do you mean?”She stirred her drink. “Ronan. Your husband.” She continued, “I saw him yesterday.”“My Ronan? Where did you see him?” I asked, my eyes darting frantically. She laughed. “I know. I'm just saying I saw him.” She shrugged, “Downtown.”I stared at her. “Downtown? You mean…?”“Yeah,” she paused. “That type of downtown.”My fingers tightened around the cup. “When?”She thought

Chapter: Chapter Two
What Happened That Night?I didn't sleep much after seeing the message.“Did she find out?” The words kept circling through my mind.“Who was she?”“And what exactly was she supposed to find out?”I wanted to wake Ronan and ask him immediately, but something stopped me.After all, it was Vivian, his younger sister. There were a hundred innocent explanations for that message, and I wasn't going to accuse my husband based on four words.Especially after the mistake I'd made with the livestream. So I waited until morning.Morning came by too fast. Ronan was already dressed when I came downstairs. He stood by the kitchen counter, drinking coffee while scrolling through his phone. He looked up. “You're awake early.”“I couldn't sleep.” I smiled slightly, walking towards him.His eyes moved over my face. “Why?”I reached for a glass of water. “Your phone kept buzzing last night.”He looked at his phone. “Vivian? Oh! Yes, she sent me a message.”I nodded. “What did she want?”His expression changed for the briefest m

Chapter: Chapter one My Lovely FamilyThe first time I saw my husband with another woman, I almost laughed. Not because it was funny. But because my brain refused to believe what my eyes were showing me.I was sitting on the living-room floor with Evelyn's mathematics workbook spread across my knees when my phone buzzed beside me.“Mummy, you skipped the question.”Evelyn was pointing at a fraction problem with the serious expression of someone twice her age.“I didn't skip it.” I smiled. “I was giving you time to solve it yourself.”“You don't know the answer,” She replied in a cute enthusiastic voice.“I know the answer. I just wanted to see how you would solve it.”“Then why haven't you written it?” She narrowed her eyes at me.I laughed and reached for my phone. “Well, because I know you can solve it.”The notification was from a business page I followed. One of the companies Ronan had been dealing with recently was hosting a small corporate event, and someone had gone live.I almost swiped it away. Then I saw him, my
