Chapter 101Melody has been home for two days. On the second day, as much as Anthony hates it, he has to go to the office to catch up on the paperwork he didn’t do while he was gone. “Uncle Charley, I am glad you’re staying with her while I am in the office. Chapter 100The doctor comes out to the waiting room. Cameron nudges Anthony. “The doctor is here.” With Cameron’s help Anthony walks over to him. The doctor sees what shape Anthony is in then looks to Cameron. “How is Melody?”The doctor shakes his head then begins to talk. “By all rights she should never have been able to have the pups. I actually don’t know how she is alive. We went in and repaired the spleen and stopped the bleeding. We’re giving her blood now; it’s a matter of time to see if she responds. Chapter 98Eric enters Drew’s office, “We haven’t paid those mercenaries yet. It’s been over two weeks, and they still have the cars.”“Yeah, I forgot about them. Give them a call and put the money in the post office like we did the down payment. Make sure you tell them that they have to get rid of the cars someplace they won’t be found.”“I’ll call them now, the burner phone is in my desk.” Eric goes to his office “I’m calling to set up the rest of the payment. I want you to go to the same post office in San Jose. Remember you have to get rid of the cars. Drop them off a cliff into the ocean.
