Chapter: Winter #7The only thing Ethan was worried about after successfully taking Emily out of the dungeon, was the pursuit of the man he had harvested. Ethan was sure the man would only be unconscious for a few moments, and Emily's condition made it impossible to run. Even in his position carrying Emily on his back, running in snowy conditions in the dark was impossible.Emily's entire body was covered in wounds and the blood seemed to never stop flowing. Red patches dripped on the white snow, creating a trail that seemed to tell anyone where the girl had gone. Ethan couldn't let it all go by without any treatment. "Your wound must be treated first, Emily, you're hurt badly." Ethan lowered Emily from his arms, the leaves from the fallen tree branch made a bed for Emily to lie on."Take me to the cave, Ethan. Take care of me there," Emily pleaded with her eyes closed and a weak voice. However, Emily's request could not be done by Ethan because the distance to the cave was longer than they had imagin

Chapter: Winter #6In the overpowering dimness and unease, Ethan strode slowly between the damp walls that reeked of anxiety. His eyes stared wide-eyed at each successive room built of stone with rusted iron bars. The basement was too stuffy to linger in for long and Ethan was beset by an overwhelming sense of anxiety. His shoes created a regular, stiff beat, each step that brought him closer to the far end of this row of stone prisons felt like a step towards death. His feelings grew even more unsettled as Ethan felt Emily's scent grow thicker, as if it were the lifeblood of this dark underground chamber. A low screech from the last room at the edge of the darkness made his thoughts even more frantic."Emily, are you there?" he hissed softly, barely audible. His steps felt like they were being dragged, his legs felt numb and the oxygen felt depleted in the humid soil. His vision had never clearly observed anything since the young man set foot in this place, but the thing happening in front of him made

Chapter: Winter #5"Emily!" the young man exclaimed, causing an echo. She tossed the game to the ground, her gaze wary as Ethan scanned every corner of the cave. Ever since he first arrived there, the cave's lip had been wide open and the barrier rattan seemed to have slammed into the center. The campfire was dead and there was no sign of having been used during his hunt in the forest. The young man sat himself down first. He took a sip of the water stored in the small jug, while the bacon intended for Emily was gone when he checked. Ethan blamed himself when he remembered not telling Emily to stay in the cave while he hunted. But Ethan was also upset when he remembered that the girl should have known the weather outside was so bad and she should have stayed in the cave and waited for him to come home. There was a strange silence that appeared between his raging thoughts. He had never felt this lonely in life, even though Ethan had previously inhabited the cave alone, but Emily's departure made a stra

Chapter: Winter #4Ethan smelled a deer about two kilometers away from the cave he was in. It had been a while since he had smelled an animal, and his last hunt had been three Sundays ago. It was rare to see animals wandering around in the middle of a snowstorm like this, if they had come out it was usually because there was nothing to eat.Perhaps the deer was an unfortunate animal that had gotten separated from the herd, winter is a tough time for anyone. And even so, there was no way Ethan would let the deer go just out of pity. There was only one slice of bacon left and he was sure Emily hadn't put anything in her stomach since yesterday afternoon. And he was grateful for his rat nose signaling to save his life for at least the next weeks. The young man then grabbed his bow as fast as the snow fractals descended to the earth. He zipped up his coat after making sure that his old boots were perfectly fitted."Hey, where are you going?" asked Emily when she saw Ethan preparing to leave without saying

Chapter: Winter #3"What are you talking about?" The young man frowned deeply.Emily sighed lazily, suddenly realizing that what she said just now sounded taboo. The girl distanced herself after the treatment was over, she chose to sit in the corner of the dark cave. "I'm not sure you'll believe me, so I guess you'd better forget what I said earlier" she said coldly."Look, I don't like small talk, tell me, what kind of curse do you want to get rid of?" he urged impatiently.Emily did not answer, the cave was silent and cold. The young man chose to light a fire after arranging the firewood and then warm his body. Emily approached the campfire and sat down opposite the young stranger whose name she didn't even know."I'm Emily, I'm running away from a madman," Emily said after sitting in front of the fire for a while."I'm Ethan, a traveler who accidentally met a pathetic girl being chased by crazy people," Ethan replied which made Emily smile bitterly."Do you believe that in this universe there is a s

Chapter: Winter #2The distance between him and Albert was only about two hundred meters and there was no other way but to run away leaving his horse neighing in pain. "Joe, I'm sorry, darling. We have to part ways here," Emily said softly, resting her forehead against the horse's forehead. The storm of feelings was perhaps more difficult for Emily to handle than the snowstorm. The girl had never expected to go through two breakups at once. Amy and Joe were not trivial matters, and leaving them in such a difficult time was never easy for her. However, her soul is forced to deal with this situation, any sentimentality must be thrown away for her safety. After crossing the river in water that nearly froze her bones, Emily treaded heavily through the deep snow in front of her. The trees were thicker and taller on the other side of the river and the situation was slightly favorable for Emily's position. The girl thought of hiding behind the trees as it seemed impossible to outrun those pursuing her.Alber

Chapter: Howlers #8The snow was falling heavily and the cold made the dark forest feel frozen. For who knows how long the hunters watched the dimly lit hut in silence and shivered, the tired and desperate faces behind the rifles demanding to be moved from their positions. "You must be mistaken, no one is coming out of there!" one of them shouted. "Damn it! I'm almost dead and buried under the snow, we'd better end this silliness!" the other hunters agreed. The five hunters of six started heading towards the place where their horses were tied and prepared to ride. Only one remained and confident that someone would come out of there, no matter how cold his fingers were, the hunter remained alert with his rifle and binoculars."Never mind Rein, there's no point in us staying here! We'll probably freeze to death without catching anything!" Rein, the most determined hunter stayed where he was, ignoring his comrades' pleas. "My hunches are never wrong and I'm sure there's something there. Go if you want!

Chapter: Howlers #7A hunter watched Alpha Alaric's movements from a small hut atop a bushy hill. Through his sophisticated and clear long binoculars, the hunter knew where Alaric had gone. A faint grin etched on his cold face, the hunter commanded his companions to be ready with their weapons, then the young man assumed the role of direction. A group of hunters spurred their horses amidst the snowfall and darkness of the night. The whinnying of the horses could be heard faintly among the towering trees, they rode their horses slowly when they almost arrived at their destination. A log cabin filled with vines looked cold and haunted in the sight of the group of hunters. "Are you sure he went to this place?" one of them asked quietly."I can't be wrong. Let's just wait for that bastard to come out soon." The young man spoke confidently and he began to prepare bullets and be on standby with his finger on the trigger. They began to split up and look for strategic spots to shoot their prey. Meanwhile, Ala

Chapter: Howlers #6Dozens of heavily armed hunters surrounded Alaric, who did not stop howling. The big wolf was pressed and had trouble escaping nor could he put up any resistance. His howl did not stop echoing throughout the forest, a howl that meant a call to every member of his pack. The Hunters prepared to draw their long-barreled weapons in a calculated manner, smiles of satisfaction on their faces as they assumed that absolute victory was within their grasp. The first shot aimed at Alaric's head echoed among the wolves' howls. The silver bullet nearly lodged itself in the Alpha's head, but fortunately only hit the wolf's ear. A burning, stinging sensation ran through Alaric's body, silver being his most obvious weakness. The next shots rang out in unison and attacked the dazed Alaric. The wolf was no longer idle, Alaric lunged at several hunters in a single attack and severed their throats in a single chop, but the shots from the remaining Hunter didn't stop trying to hit his body either.Alaric

Chapter: Howlers #5Lizzy turned her body around after confirming that what she saw in the reflection of the mirror was indeed Connor, the lover she loved and missed so much. She never thought that her lover would come at this crucial moment. The girl ran into the young man's arms with sobs, her arms wrapped tightly around the young man's neck. Connor welcomed Lizzy's embrace enthusiastically and lovingly. His hands wrapped tightly around Lizzy's slender waist, he kissed the scent of Lizzy's body deeply. The mixture of scents from other people instantly made his heart rustle, but Connor didn't want to end the hug, if he could he wanted to hug Lizzy forever. The beautiful girl in his arms should be his, the young man thought. "How did you get to this place and find me?" Lizzy asked without letting go of his embrace."Fate guided me, Lizzy," Connor replied softly. Her hands cupped Lizzy's pale face, then she kissed her lips with longing and pent-up anger. They did it for a long time until their kiss fina

Chapter: Howlers #4"Alpha? You mean you're not human?" Lizzy asked in a high, panicked tone. "Yes, I'm a werewolf," Alaric replied flatly. "Don't come near me!" Lizzy reflexively dragged her body to the corner of the bed and started crying in a curled up position. Her entire body shook violently and the girl began to sob as she realized the harsh reality she had just found out. Alaric stared wide-eyed at the fear on the girl's face. The man sighed softly as he realized that it was not easy to convince his human partner to marry. Although he could coerce and was used to coercion, somehow this time he seemed unable to do so. "Calm down, I don't mean you any harm," Alaric coaxed in the midst of Lizzy's unending crying. Alaric did not move from his seat at all, the man waited patiently for his woman's crying to subside."In that case, please send me home. I want to go home today." Lizzy began to lift her face and looked into Alaric's yellow eyes. Alaric shook his head with a smile. "No, you can't go h

Chapter: Howlers #3"The Moon Goddess who rules our destiny, Tala, I can't help it when she gives me a human mate." Alaric said those words without knowing how Tala felt like being torn apart. The she-wolf hissed and bared her pointed fangs. Her nails were sticking out, her eyes flashing with anger and jealousy. "Don't you realize how much I love you, Alaric? We grew up together for decades, aren't you impressed at all? How easily could a human girl destroy our relationship?" Alaric sighed. "Tala, please understand, I don't want this!" Tala jumped up and tore at Alaric's face with full force. "Damn it! I know how viciously you guys fuck and you say you don't want any of this? Alpha bastard!""I envy that girl's scent that can make you drunk like crazy!" Tala began to recall how sweet Lizzy's scent was and admitted that she was losing badly in that department. Alaric had never been tempted by Tala's pheromones no matter how hard the wolf tried to bring Alaric to his knees. Anger seemed to be rolling
