Your dad is mine

Your dad is mine

His fingers slid into my hair, tugging just enough to tilt my head back and expose my throat to him. “We shouldn’t be doing this, Mr. Turner,” I breathed, my voice breaking on a gasp as he found a sensitive spot just beneath my ear and sucked lightly. His growl was low and primal, vibrating through my skin as he pressed his body against mine. I felt every hard line of him, his heat bleeding through my clothes. “Why not?” he murmured, his voice rough with restrained need. I swallowed hard. “You’re… you’re my ex-fiancé’s father.” He paused. For a moment, everything stilled… his breath against my throat, the air between us, even the rain outside seemed to hesitate. Then he lifted his head, and our eyes locked. His were a stormy blue, intense and unwavering. “No one has to know, Catherine,” he said quietly, his voice was like a dark promise wrapped in silk. Then he leaned in with his lips brushing the shell of my ear. “I can be your dirty secret.” A shiver ripped down my spine. His words settled deep in my gut, awakening something dangerous. I bit my lip. Every cell in my body screamed for me to walk away but I didn’t. Instead, I gripped the front of his shirt, pulled him down, and kissed him hard. Desperately. He rumbled low in his chest, kissing me back with equal hunger, his hands roaming my body like he already knew every curve. When he finally broke the kiss, I was breathless. Then he dropped to his knees between my legs, with his eyes darker now. “I’m going to show you the world,” he said. “If you’d let me.”

Chapter: CHAPTER 116
CATHERINE Silence.Absolute silence. That was the first thing I noticed. No voice constantly screaming at me that I was going to lose everything, no weight crushing my chest. Just… silence.I reveled in it.But it didn’t last, like every other thing in my life. It broke down steadily, falling apart like sand in water. And then his voice broke through.“Catherine!”On edge, concern. Rage. Something else. Ronald.“Catherine, can you hear me?”Too loud.Another set of voices. Male. Marcus.“She’s still breathing. Let’s get out of here. Now.”I tried to force my eyes open but they refused to cooperate. The scent of gunpowder still hung low in the stale air, reminding me of what I had just done. That’s right.I killed him. Adrian. My throat tightened, bile crawling up, and the next thing I felt were strong hands, wrapping around my waist. The world felt heavy, the voices blurred into something distant, stretched thin like they were underwater.“Careful-”“Don’t drop her-”“Move!”My body

Chapter: CHAPTER 115
CATHERINE My focus snapped back. I stepped back, hands on my gun. The guards reacted immediately, their weapons cocking and ready, aimed at me. Marcus’s rough growl cut through the tension as he stepped in front of me, his entire frame covering my line of sight, ready to strike.Still, Adrian’s voice filtered through. “There’s no need for violence.” His voice sounded too amused. It made my skin crawl. Then my breath caught as a realization set in.I stepped out from Marcus’s frame. “Where is he?”Adrian’s eyes gleamed. “Safe,” he simply said. “For now. It all depends on you if you and your little friends walk out of here intact or in a body bag.”A shiver ran through my spine, my sweaty palms curled into a fist, fingers digging into them.“What do you want? You’ve been terrorizing me and everyone I love for god knows how long,” my throat tightened. “Why?”His brows furrowed slightly. “The weather today is terrible.”I frowned.“Let’s talk inside.” He said, gesturing to the door. “Yo

Chapter: CHAPTER 114
CATHERINEThe sun was already dipping, making everything look softer than it actually was. Except the men in front of me. Their eyes moved like predators, sharp, calculating, their bodies were made for battle and I almost wondered what Marcus must have go told them. One of them met my gaze, his eyes narrowing on me.My pulse jumped as I tore my eyes away, clearing my throat. “We need to leave in the next minute.” I said to Marcus who was giving out instructions. He turned to me, his lips turning into a straight line. “Rumor is, that location you gave me, is the home of one of the five families in New York. The Rain family.” My brow furrowed. “I thought they were all dead.”He shrugged. “The property belongs to them. Doesn’t mean they’re the ones occupying it.” His gaze moved past me. “Doesn’t also mean some of them are willing to find out.”My gaze flicked back. A few of the men were staring right at us. Their eyes prickled my skin. I turned back to Marcus.“What does that mean?”“I

Chapter: CHAPTER 113
CATHERINE I must have forgotten how to breathe, or the air was too thick. Either way, my lungs stopped working, my ears rang, drowning out everything.A muffled sound echoed from above me.My head felt heavy, but I looked up anyway. His lips were moving, talking? No. His brows were knotted, his eyes wide , fear seeping out. The veins in his neck were bulging. Shouting. My gaze flickered to the ground. I was closer to it than it should have been. When did my knees give out?My grandmother’s words refused to stop replaying in my head.Your father isn’t dead. The cold that settled in my bones wasn’t from the harsh crashing of waves or the fact that we were close to the sea. It was from the realization that the worst of them all was still here… lurking in the shadows.A hand clamped down hard on my shoulder.I turned to meet Marcus’s wild eyes dragging over me like he was searching for injuries. His voice broke through the ringing this time, barely. “Catherine,” he barked, shaking me g

CATHERINE “I take it your martyr stunt didn’t work out as well as you thought it would.”I shuffled on my feet, pushing down that feeling that tried so hard to crawl back up. The look in Marcus’s eyes was plain and simple… disappointment. He had every right to.I swallowed heavily, taking a step forward. His gaze faltered, just for half a second before hardening.“Why are you here, Cath?” He said evenly, even as his fingers dug into his arms.“I’m sorry,” I whispered, my voice muffled by the steady sound of waves crashing into each other. Cold seeped into my bones but the weight in my chest thawed it out. The docks were practically empty, save for the security guard staring us down from the end of the boat. I pretended not to notice. His scoff was lost in the wind as he tilted his head heavenward. “I’ve got crates to offload, Cath.”“Marcus-“He snapped his head back to me, eyes narrowing. “No. You don’t get to run into a fucking death trap even when I begged you not to and now whe

Chapter: CHAPTER 111
RONALD“Found your little friend.” The man said, his dark gaze flicking to Frankie. For a moment I was certain I was hallucinating. Frankie had been halfway across the country, setting off his own plans against the threat we both faced. Now he was here. Bruised and barely conscious. His once pristine suit was jagged, soaked in crimson, his silver rings stained with blood. The sight of him reduced to something so fragile felt… wrong. Frankie was always untouchable. Until now.“Frankie?” Mason breathed. The disbelief in his voice only sharpened. “Well… that’s unexpected.”Frankie’s unfocused eyes blinked slowly as he struggled to lift his head. “Ronald…” he rasped. “You-.”A slow clap echoed through the chamber, cutting off whatever he was about to say.“Touching,” the man before us drawled, his tone laced with mock amusement. “Truly. Loyalty is such a rare commodity these days.”My gaze hardened on him. “You dragged him into this to make a point?” I asked coldly. His lips curved into

ASHMy fingers twitched at my sides. I hated that my chest tightened when Iris’s gaze stayed on Ryker.Right.They already had history together. And I just had… a kiss. That bitter taste in my mouth only intensified at the reminder. My wolf must have been mistaken. Iris stumbled forward. “Ryker…”Meanwhile, his gaze didn’t move from me. It wasn’t until the human shuffled beside me that the fire in his eyes faltered. They shifted to her. Then his brows narrowed.“What’s she doing this close to the pack?”I straightened , despite how my pulse hammered. “We believe whoever took Iris might come looking for the twin stone.”I watched as Ryker’s anger slowly faded, confusion replacing it. He shifted his gaze to Iris.“I thought you said the person who kidnapped you sent the hybrids our way.” Ryker said slowly and every instinct in me went still. That was it.It had been bothering my mind about why they would kidnap Iris and drag her across the human lands only to return her without a scrat

Chapter: Chapter 74
IRISIt was empty.Ash and I stood at the centre of Kade’s shed, the wood creaking beneath our boots as we moved deeper into the space. The air was stale, carrying the low scent of mould and oak. My stomach tightened as I glanced at Ash. “Where is she?”His hard eyes scanned the area. Then he sniffed the air around us. “Her scent is still strong for a human. She must be close.”A snap made both our heads turn. A flicker of silver hair caught the setting sun, her violet eyes landing on me then shifted to Ash and she… smiled? My gaze flicked back to Ash. Indifference.“I was starting to think you guys had left me to die here.” She said while cradling a dozen apples.Where the hell did she find those?“You’re still alive.” Ash replied flatly, earning an eyeroll from the human. “Besides,” he continued, “I have a strong feeling that you know more than you claim.”That made her shoulders stiffen. I jumped in before she could speak. “This isn’t an interrogation.” I bit out, focusing on Ash.

IRISI hated that Ryker’s words lingered in my head ever since he left. And the constant reminder started building up doubt. Was Ash really my mate or was I just confused?I was supposed to be meeting Ryker at the oak tree but instead, I was here.My gaze was fixed on the wooden door in front of me as hesitation settled in my chest. I needed to know. And still, my cowardice left me shuffling outside his door until his voice boomed from inside.“Come in, Iris.”The air seemed to seize around me for a second before rushing back into my lungs. I pushed the door open despite the pit in my stomach. He was seated on the only chair in the room, his arms stretched over the top. His skin glistened like he’d just run through the woods a thousand times, his damp hair clinging to his forehead. His dark gaze didn’t move from my face. Not once. His jaw ticked once.My stomach flipped. I forced my eyes down. “You’ve been avoiding me.”God I sound like Ryker.Great.His eyes lingered for a second lon

KADERyker’s pacing was grating on my last nerve. Not to mention, Iris’s scent lingering on him.I clenched my jaw so hard that I was certain I heard a crack. Ryker stopped, annoyance flashing in his eyes as he tilted his head to the side. “Did you just hear what I said?”My thumbs rubbed my temples as a sigh escaped me. “No Ryker, what is it?”“The people who took Iris are behind the hybrid infestation.”That made my fingers still completely. The room suddenly felt smaller. There were a few things I believed. Coincidences weren’t one of them. The hybrids that have been attacking my pack strategically for months without detection. And now they kidnapped Iris? Months of attacks. Iris’s disappearance. The hybrids. It wasn’t an attack anymore. It was a plan.A dull throb hit me. I ignored it, leaning forward. “What else did she tell you?”His lips flattened. “She doesn’t really remember a lot.” His hands balled into fists so tight his knuckles whitened. “They drugged her. And chained he

KADE“The pantry is running low,” Timothy said in a low voice, dropping the inventory alongside the other dozen files on my desk. “So are the supplies. Winter is in two moons and the last meeting with the traders…” he paused, hesitating. “You were out of reach, Alpha.”I pinched the bridge of my nose in a feeble attempt to ignore the growing ache in my head. I hadn’t realized that between trying to get my powers back and rescuing Iris, my pack had been suffering the consequences. My jaw ticked.Timothy shuffled on his feet. “There’s… actually something else, Alpha Kade.”I looked up from my desk, eyes narrowing at his nervous expression. “Speak.”He scratched the back of his neck. “Well, Elder Rain left.”My head lifted sharply.“Left?”“Right before you returned.” He rambled on. “She said you’d been biased about her daughter’s death and felt like you weren’t…” his voice lowered. “Doing your job as an alpha.”Silence stretched. I couldn’t even find rage in me because to some extent,

IRISThe last I expected after my uncertain announcement was Ryker laughing. He threw his head back, his sharp laughter echoing through my room. But the moment my confusion faded, annoyance took its place. “What’s so funny?”Ryker managed to settle down, wiping a single tear from his eye. “I’m sorry,” he said between breaths. “I don’t know how I can stay mad at you when you say absurd things just to get me to leave.”My annoyance doubled. “Excuse me?”He straightened, shoving his hand into his pocket with some kind of newfound confidence. “Your first heat did a number on you. I get it. But Ash is not your mate.”I gave him a strained smile. “And how exactly would you know that?”He held my gaze long enough to make my conviction waver“Think about it.” He said, taking a leisurely step forward. “You just went through something traumatic, Iris. Which is what probably triggered your heat in the first place.”My pulse tripped. That can’t be right. “And Ash is the first male you saw,” he c

Chapter: Chapter 7
DAISYThis wasn’t happening. It couldn’t be.Was I going to die? Probably-Strong hands clamped down my shoulders, shaking me violently. “Daisy!” Willow's voice drew me back into my living room. “We need to move.”I opened my mouth to say something but my voice was lost. It wasn’t until I looked down at my hands that I realized they were trembling. But before I got a chance to react, another set of shots rang outside. They were sharper, often accompanied with a grunt and the sound of bodies hitting the ground.Willow visibly relaxed, but his eyes were still sharp. The onslaught lasted barely five minutes and then… silence. My own heartbeat rang in my ears, my haggard breath filling the oppressive silence. Then Willow shifted beside me.“It’s over.” He said lowly, straightening. He held out his hand for me, waiting like I didn’t just have my front door shut at by gunned men. When he realized I wasn’t going to move any moment soon, he crouched down and scooped me off the ground.“What

CALEBMy impatience was starting to wear dangerously thin.Hunter wasn’t supposed to be here. Neither was Willow. But Hunter had a talent for appearing at my doorstep half-dead, and Willow had a talent for following chaos wherever it led.Usually, I could tolerate both.Tonight, I couldn’t.I had less than twenty-four hours before everything moved into place.I’d planned it the minute I found out who Daisy Drewmoore was. The heiress to the Drewmoore incorporated. One of the biggest names in the west. At first it started as curiosity. This fragile girl that showed up on my doorstep after three years of quiet. Holding a damn cupcake and a smile that could render you blind. Of course I would be curious as to how one gets to live without a care in the world. So I decided to do a little… digging. And once I started, it didn’t take long to uncover the rot beneath the surface. Her father owed the Serpent Gang millions. That changed everything.I’d spent years trying to get close to the Serp

DAISYLaughter spilled from me before I could stop it. The sound echoing through my living room. I sat adjacent to Willow, watching as he owned the whole house with his humor. At least that was one thing common between them.Their ability to fill a place with presence alone. It was probably the alcohol buzzing in the my veins but he looked… less murdery when he was here, in my house, laughing at my lame jokes and staring at me like that. My pulse skipped a bit.My gaze flicking from his dark eyes to his lips. What the hell are you doing?I cleared my throat, tearing my gaze away and sitting straighter. Stick to the script, Daisy. He didn’t notice the shift. If he did, he didn’t make it known. I ignored it, turning fully to face him so we were opposite each other.“So,” I started lightly. “Where’s your accent?”His gaze sharpened. So did his posture.“Gone with the years I’ve lived in the United States,” he said slowly.I nodded. “So you’re… not from here.”Willow’s eyes narrowed on m

DAISYThey were insane.Every single one of them.A cage fighter?A cage fighter???I scoffed, my pace faltering as my head snapped to the door. Caleb had told me to stay put until he got back. Another damned command. Irritation rolled off my skin in waves. He was obviously hiding something, and I wasn’t waiting around to get butchered by a family of psychopaths.I gnawed on my bottom lip, hesitating.I had to get out of here first. My feet carried me to the door, pressing my ear against it. Voices. Muffled. Good. They sounded far enough.I sucked in a breath, twisting the handle of the door slowly. The quiet creak bounced off the wall as I pushed it open and stepped into the hallway.I scanned both sides. Empty. Quiet. Too quiet. Like the scene before a man with a chainsaw appears out of nowhere and guts you into pieces. A shiver ran down my spine as I chose a path. Left.My pulse was hammering against my ears because of the silence. I couldn’t hear any voices again. Just silence.F

WillowI held my breath, afraid that she would wake up.Two months, three days, and-My gaze flicked to my watch, its silenced edges now rusted by time and demons I’d rather keep buried.-fourteen minutes. That’s how long I’d watched from a distance, swearing to Caleb I would stay away from her orbit. A smile tugged at my lips, even as my lungs burned, begging for air. The big man up there must really love me despite my shortcomings.Daisy Drewmoore fell right into my lap. Technically, barged into my brother’s house but no one’s counting technicalities. What mattered was her.She looked so… peaceful. A hundred times more beautiful up close. I knew I shouldn’t be here. Caleb will flip out if he found me here. But like every single thing I get obsessed with… I couldn’t help myself. My fingers stretched before I could think about it, brushing off a stray strand. I could hear my own heartbeat, hammering beneath my skin as I waited.Nothing.I pressed the doorbell again, harder this time, holding it down a second longer than necessary. Then waited… still, I was met with the rhythmic chirping of bugs. “Seriously?” I muttered under my breath.I wasn't going to just give up.I punched the doorbell. Again and again and again until-The door swung open so fast, I jerked back.Caleb stood, covering the entire doorframe, his lips curled up in that same scowl that always succeeded in making my skin boil. My fingers tightened around my arm as I tilted my chin upward. “What else in my building did you tamper with?”His brows drew together slightly. If he kept this up, he'd end up with wrinkles by the time he was forty.“What?” He asked slowly.I scoffed, then shoved my hand into my pocket, my jacket slipping off my shoulder. His gaze flickered, then darkened, but just as quickly as it came, it disappeared. I shoved the thought aside.“My phone?” I
