Days passed and Scarlet hadn't said a word to me. She didn't even look me in the eyes. After our last encounter, my presence was like a plague she badly avoided, which didn’t bother me in any way, but then I had a double date, which was mandatory.

But then, I had to bring someone along, not just anyone, it must be Scarlet who followed me to the date, or else everyone would know our marriage wasn’t real, I couldn’t risk it, definitely not for a one-time date.

I stared at my phone, contemplating what to do next. I could just call anybody to be a partner, but then Scarlett would ruin it for me. Everyone already knew about our relationship.
