DAY FIVE My time was already up. So I could not stay longer that day to ask about the flowers that were in my mother’s room. The next day, I spoke to a nurse and she had no idea how the flower found its way to mom’s room and there was no record of anyone else coming to visit her except for me. I got very scared but the nurse assured me that it must have been a mistake. She said that it happened sometimes. It was either that a person dropped the flower by mistaking the room or it was a mixed delivery. I accepted her explanation and the flower was taken away. I had been going to the hospital since then and the real truth was that one hour was simply not enough for me to do what I wanted to do. I barely got enough time to talk to my mother and Luke had been coming around whenever he was less busy. And we would have conversations from time to time. It was so weird that I had to time myself while talking to him. Or when I'd abruptly stand that I wanted to leave immediately. Brooke was also on my neck. I hated how he watched me. I decided to confront Killian. He had to stop with his stupid rule. I had not been seeing him as I spent most of my time locked inside my room. Whenever I stepped out to watch a movie, he would not be home. It was morning and I knew that he would be in the dining room drinking his usual morning tea. Thankfully, he was there. “Killian, we need to talk,” I said immediately I stormed into the dining room. “Go on. I'm listening.” “I need more than one hour,” I demanded sternly. “No, you do not.” He said in a low voice and I scoffed. “You do not get to decide how long I spend outside. Who do you even think you are?” I fumed with anger. I was not a fucking prisoner. “The iconic Killian Davenport." He replied while smiling cruelly at me. I glared at him hard and if eyes could kill, Killian would have long dropped dead. “There is nothing iconic about you!” I fired at him. My voice harsh. “There is nothing fucking good ahout you. You are just a fucking heartless bastard. And I'm going to be spending more than one hour at the hospital. I already know my way and I can use a fucking taxi.” I had been practicing the route and I knew how to leave the house. But it was going to be almost impossible because I had no money to afford a taxi. “I'm not a fucking prisoner!!” I yelled at him. It got me angry that he got to dictate my life like he wanted. What was an hour even going to do for me? “You are not a prisoner, but you are my wife. You are officially a Davenport for the next six months, so act like one!” He warned me. “Fuck you.” I spat at him. “If you want my dick, all you have to do is strip and bend over the table. I might consider you and fuck you.” His reply got me more angry and my cheeks flushed red. “It’s so better to sleep with a madman than to sleep with you. You don't even know how to treat a woman. So how can you fuck one? It's probably just as small as your mentality.” I fired at him and the corner of Killian's lips lifted in a smirk. “Aspen, go to your room. You are distracting me.” “I’m not going to my room until you increase the time I get to spend in the hospital. Extend the fucking hours!!” I screamed at the top of my voice and Killian suddenly looked at me. His gaze sharp. “Since you are dying for me to do something with the time, I will. You will only leave this house, once a week and when you do, you spend just an hour in the hospital. You know what that means? You are not leaving this house today.” He stated and then drank whatever coffee was left in his cup. I looked at Killian in shock. He had to be joking and there was no way that I was going to accept that. Once a week? That was just the height of it all. “You must be mad if you think that I'm going to sit back and watch you do this.” I hissed and Killian calmly stood up to his feet, and I watched as he called someone. “My wife is not allowed to leave this house. Make sure she does not pass through the gates. You will take her to the hospital every Friday, and the time remains an hour.” It was when his call ended with a beep that I realised that he had just passed the new rule to Brooke. I began to breathe heavily, my chest rising and falling. “You have to be joking.” Killian ignored me but rather made his way upstairs. “Killian, come here!! You have to be joking!!” I screamed so loudly that anyone who saw me, would think that I had lost my mind. I was about to yell at Killian again, but he suddenly snapped at me. “The fuck is wrong with you? You are so fucking loud and it gets on my nerves. Stop pushing me and I suggest that you keep that fucking mouth shut. Or I will resort to other means to make you do that. You will not be leaving this house. And that is final.” His eyes said it all. He was not going to change his mind. Fuck! “No…no….kill…killian..you can't do this.” “I already did.” He added softly and then he went upstairs. My shoulders slumped as I watched Killian walk away. I got myself into a hellhole and I was going to get myself out. By all means.Aspen DAY FIVE My time was already up. Aspen DAY TWOMy visit to the hospital was quick. I got dressed and by the time I was done, Brooke was already waiting for me. He was a guard and looked as stern as his boss. Brooke was a tall man and he looked like a person who already had years of training. We went to the hospital and he waited by the door of mom’s room while I went in. They moved her room and unlike before, she was now in a single room. The soft beeping of the machines filled my ears and I sighed heavily, slowly walking to her side. “How are you doing today??” I asked her and my heart felt very heavy as I watched her lie on that bed. Things would have been so much better for me if she had woken up after her surgery. I needed a friend in my life. I needed someone to talk to. “Your surgery was successful and very soon, you will be back on your feet.” I smiled, slowly stroking her face. She was sleeping peacefully. “I really miss you Mom and at this point in my life, I really wish that you were here with me. I rea
Aspen DAY TWOI stayed in my room for the rest of the day and I did not even come out to make dinner. I felt down after remembering Clear and I spent the rest of the day wondering how she was. Was she alive? What condition was she in? I badly wanted to see her again. I still strongly believed that she was alive. And that I was going to find her someday. The next morning, after I had freshened up, I decided to call the doctor. “How is my mother?” Those were the first questions that I asked after he picked up the call. “Miss Aspen, it's good that you called. The surgery went well and was successful.” Finally, I let out a breath of fresh air at his words. Mom has been treated and the surgery was successful. For the first time in so many days, I felt happy. I was about to say something when Doctor Luke beat me to it and the smile on my face fell. “But I have some bad news. Your mother is in a coma. But she is out of any danger. She was sick for too long and that is one of the factors
Aspen DAY ONEBrooke was a guard. Just after Damien left, he came in and handed my phone over to me. The new phone that Killian had bought for me actually. It was the newest Apple series and I was glad that I finally got a change of phone. After Brooke left, I tried calling my dad but I got no response. I called him for over five times and the fifth time, the call stopped going through. It did not even ring. I went upstairs to my room and I was awe when I walked in. The room was beautiful. It was far more higger than my whole house and it screamed nothing but luxury. I found myself walking over to the closet and I literally gasped when I opened the closet. It was no different from a mall. It felt like I had stepped into a clothes shop and all the clothes seemed to be my size. I picked out a simple wear and after showering, I went downstairs to make lunch as I was starving. I was the only one in the huge house and I had never felt so bored before in my life. My phone was useless as
Aspen Killian looked like he was in a hurry. I noticed that he kept tapping his fingers impatiently against his thigh. He was quick to deposit all the money for mom’s surgery including what I owed and then asked that we leave immediately. I promised Dr. Luke that I would call him before hurriedly leaving with Killian. And the bastard just dropped me off at the door of his huge house and then he drove off at high speed. Standing in front of his door, I sighed heavily. His house had the aesthetic of a mafia lord. The compound was huge and I caught sight of some flashy cars that were parked around. Escaping seemed impossible. Killian had guards stationed everywhere. They were all dressed in black suits, wore black sunglasses, and held guns while looking right ahead. Sighing again, I pushed the door open and walked into the house. It was neat and spotless and there was no soul around. I could not believe that Killian was the only person who lived in a house that was as big as that. Cl
Killian I sat in my car, impatiently waiting for Aspen to step out of her house. Her place made me feel sick and I was already tired of whatever family drama that was going on. I already suspected that her father was going to do something like that. I saw the look of greed in his eyes when I handed the check over to him. I already predicted that he would turn on his daughter and his dying wife. I pulled out my phone to call Brooke, “Boss,” Brooke called the moment he picked up the call. “Find Alex Vale. I suspect that he’s still here in the city. Do everything you can to find him and make sure that he does not escape. Let me know once you find him.” Brooke was my head guard and he was very good at his job. In no time, he was going to find me Alex Vale whom I was going to deal with in my own way. “Okay, boss.” “Take him to my Torture house once you find him. And retrieve whatever check you find with him.” I was not a good person and I did not fight for people or even interfere in
