Chapter 4: Opposite

Meera was not at all affected by the fact that she was going to work for the Prince of Asia. It wasn't something she was panicked or worried about, as a normal person would have been. If it was a normal person he would have been overjoyed but for her, it was just a normal mission, a job that she was bound to do.

Instead, she was a little annoyed by the fact that people were making a big fuss out of it, including the trio. They all kept asking her details about what was about to happen. All these things just made her hate the prince already. She expected him to be a proud and cocky guy who couldn’t start a line without mentioning that he was going to be the king.

Prince Noah was the most perfect and living example to represent the word 'luck' according to people around the world. People said that he was the luckiest person because he was born in the richest family in Asia and was going to be the king. He was born with a silver spoon and never even had to struggle to achieve success, unlike any common person. Noah was the only son of the current King of Asia, King David who was one of the richest people in the world.

However, fame and success also bring a lot of enemies. So, King David also had a lot of enemies. The king was strong and cunning; he knew well how to fight, so his enemies couldn't affect him much. Noah was the complete opposite of him and couldn’t protect himself.

King David also had a daughter named Mary. He never let his son, Noah fight, he only told him to focus on becoming a king since childhood, so Noah never tried any other activities and never knew how dangerous this world could be. He didn't know how to fight and eventually, it became his biggest weakness. He was now going to become the king, the gangsters wanted to kill him so they could get control over the whole of Asia. Noah never had to do any work on his own as he had a lot of servants surrounding him. He lives the life that people wish for.

Meera was the total opposite of him. She was brave, ruthless, and bold. Her parents died when she was 17 and since then she had survived on her own. She knew how to fight for herself and had set out on a journey to do the wrongs right. The path she chose was full of difficulties and danger. She played with death daily and it became her favorite game.

She belonged to a world that Noah had never seen. She was an undercover agent and killed a lot of people but Noah couldn’t even see a person get injured. They belonged to totally different worlds but they were unaware that they were destined to meet.

King David was now pretty old and had started to get sick. Although Princess Mary was more capable of getting the throne, he still forced Noah to become the king as he thought that boys were more capable. Noah didn't enjoy his childhood properly and never got in any danger. He didn't enjoy his life at all, it always felt like a prison to him but still, he accepted this destiny that was chosen for him by his father.

These worlds were going to collide. What will happen now?

*The next day*

Meera went to the palace with Mr. Jin to meet the King and the Prince. It was really big and beautiful just like some fairy tales. Chandeliers hanging high above on the ceiling, all furniture and items luxurious and custom made. Meera was only annoyed by all that, not because she couldn’t afford all that, she could afford them but she hated that these people loved to flaunt their money that way. The place was filled with bodyguards, standing in almost every corner of the palace.

King David met them personally, Prince Noah was also there. Mr, Jin told him about his opinion to make her Noah's bodyguard. The king looked at Meera up and down in a judging way and then turned to Mr. Jin again.

"How are you so sure that she can protect the Prince?" The King asked and was doubtful of her abilities. “We have so many better and stronger bodyguards than her.”

Meera just stared at them in the eyes, she didn’t fear them. Mr. Jin was trying to tell her to be a little more respectful but she just ignored him.

"Your highness, she is the best agent in our agency." He answered with great respect.

"I still don't believe it." The king said in objection and underestimated her.

"How many bodyguards does he have right now?" She asked all of a sudden, she didn’t use any formalities and this surprised the king and the prince as well.

"Meera, behave!” Mr. Jin shouted at her but she ignored him completely. “He's the Prince!" Mr. Jin said, shaking her arm, warning her to behave herself.

"Doesn't matter to me." She said as if it was nothing. She wasn't afraid of them and was calm as ever. She didn't like rich people and that was the reason she didn't treat them differently.

"He has 8 bodyguards around him who are the best ones in Asia." The King said with great confidence. He was underestimating Meera just because she was a girl.

"I want to fight with them." She said calmly, with no expression of fear.

All of them were shocked and warned her not to risk her life but she stayed stern about her decision so they agreed eventually. She looked really cold, with no expression of fear or nervousness on her face. The fight began and it was fierce. The bodyguards were strong and big, even Mr. Jin was afraid for her.

They attacked her one by one and she first dodged their moves to know their fighting style and attacked as soon as she realized their weaker points. She used her strength as well as her brain and it impressed the King. Even when they started attacking her all together she tackled them well. And in the end, she won. They all were groaning in pain while Meera just got a few slight injuries.

"These are your so-called best bodyguards." She taunted as stretched her body a bit. Prince Noah was shocked at seeing her. He had never seen a girl as fierce as her. He admired her and started to find her attractive for her uniqueness.

The King was pleased and asked her to start her work the next day. She was told to join the university where Prince studied and follow him the whole day to protect him.
