Anna’s POV.
In anger, I reached home. As soon as I entered the house, a strange smell hit my nose. I immediately rushed to the room and found Zarqa smoking a cigar, taking a puff with a mobile phone in her hand. She had a mobile phone in her hand which brought tears to her eyes.
"Zarqa !!" I hurried over to her and saw the picture in her mobile.
"How can he do that, Anna? How can he do that to me? Doesn't he feel sorry for me?” She hugged me tightly and burst into tears. I gently took the cigar from her hand and placed it in the ashtray.
"Come on." I said, picking her up from her seat and leading her to her room. Seeing her distraught condition, I decided to put aside any discussion about Xavier. Her condition was deteriorating rapidly. I shook my head as I helped her to her room. I wanted to console her, but she was feeling dizzy and collapsed onto the bed. She was crazy, like her brother.
~Next Morning
“Good Morning.” I was in the kitchen, preparing breakfast when she happily entered in the kitchen and greeted me cheerfully. I looked at her face, she was fresh.
"No, miss, you should say 'Good afternoon.' It's two o'clock in the afternoon," I said sarcastically, and Zarqa laughed. Suddenly, Zarqa's gaze landed on a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates in front of her.
"Hey, where did this come from?" Zarqa asked, opening the chocolate box and taking out a piece.
"Sent by Xavier Sheikh," I replied in a casual tone.
"Oh, I remember. Yesterday, you had a date with my brother. How did it go? What happened between you two, and how are you feeling about it?" Zarqa inquired, putting half the chocolate back.
"Last night was the worst night of my life," I said, looking at Zarqa.
"Why?" Zarqa frowned.
"Listen, Zarqa, you wanted me to find a life partner for myself, and you arranged this useless blind date, which didn't lead anywhere. But your brother and I are not for each other. Please tell your brother not to send me all this.” I gestured towards the chocolates and bouquet. "In my opinion, we're not a perfect couple. So please..." I finished my speech with determination. She was a little shocked but she must understand me.
"But..." Zarqa began to argue.
"But nothing, Zarqa. Please, and I can't live my life with a murderer anyway," I said firmly.
"Murderer?" Zarqa's eyes widened and I told her the entire story of what happened at night.
"But maybe my brother was just joking with you," Zarqa argued.
"Even if he was, Zarqa, if he can talk like that to a woman and then joke about murder, so there is a big No from my side. I want an honest man in my life. Not someone who's so insensitive," I said firmly, patting Zarqa's cheek before turning off the stove.
"I'm leaving for shopping. You have your breakfast and take a bath," I instructed her as I left the kitchen. I can feel her disbelief but this was the matter I can’t do anything. I wanted her to clear to her brother but he proves to be stubborn.
I had been receiving flowers and chocolates for a week and by now, I felt helpless by his moves. I even started tossing them into the trash can outside my apartment.
Today was Saturday, the next weekend. I was cleaning the house while Zarqa went shopping today.
My phone rang, an unknown number flashed on my phone’s screen. Who was there?
"Hello?" I said, looking at the unknown number on my phone.
"Princess!!" Someone from the other side said with a smile.
"Who is there?" I wondered.
"You forgot so quickly ..." The same mysterious tone replied.
"Listen, whoever you are, gets to the point. Don't waste my time," my tone turned a bit harsh.
"I am Xavier." A harsh tone made me shocked.
"Oh, Mr. Sheikh. Where did you get my number?” I tried to control my offense and said in a normal tone. I was not a timid girl.
"One can find anything with a little effort and it's not difficult for Xavier Sheikh to locate anyone," he said arrogantly.
"Mr. Sheikh, why did you call? I'm a little busy.” I said, growing annoyed with his nonsense.
"Miss Anna, You must have forgotten that today is the weekend. We were supposed to meet at eight o'clock at night, that's what I called to remind you." He said in a heavy voice and a wave of anger emerge inside of me.
"And what did I say? You've forgotten? We'll never meet again," I replied firmly, emphasizing each word.
This person had become a villain.
"You turned out to be very rude. You didn't even care about the flowers you was given,” Xavier said, ignoring my question.
"I did what they deserved and now please don't bother me "I was about to hang up the phone when I heard his whisper.
"Anna Jaffrey. Xavier Sheikh never invites anyone on his own but he invited you... And now, it's your duty to come and meet me like a good girl. Otherwise, it won't take me long to accuse you of Shehla's murder," Xavier's tone changed abruptly. My face turned red in an instant. How dare he to threaten me?
"So you're trying to scare me?" I retorted angrily.
"That's exactly what you understand. I'll send you the address. And yes, you'll find a dress to wear there in half an hour," he replied.
"I am not a slave to your order," I angrily hung up. This Xavier Sheikh was stuck to me like a leech. As soon as I saw the notification on my phone, I realized he had sent me the address.
With that, the doorbell rang at my apartment. When I opened the door, there was a package for me. I signed for it and brought it inside. I opened the package and found a beautiful purple maxi dress, backless and daring in the front. I was furious with this person.
“Be ready Xavier, you will remember this night.” I muttered angrily. I had made up my mind to meet Xavier, and had a plan.
She stood outside Xavier's restaurant, dressed in a patchwork suit and in a high ponytail. "Is this person playing a joke on me?" Anna wondered. The next moment, she opened the door and entered. Darkness welcome her, room was dimly lit, with only candles providing a soft glow. Before Anna could utter a word, a spotlight illuminated Xavier, who stood before her. He was in front, six feet height, with deep hazel brown eyes that had a mysterious glint. Wearing a black tuxedo, he had charm that could beat anyone's heart. Yet, he was confronted by Anna Jaffrey, who didn’t go for looks. He stumbled in front of her while Anna observed the entire spectacle with her arms tightly crossed. Sitting on his knees, Xavier took a box out of his coat pocket and opened it in front of Anna. Anna looked carefully at the color of the diamond which was telling its own value. ''Ana.... I know we've only met once. But since I met you, you've been on my mind. Your smell has driven me crazy me, and your t
It took her a long time in the office today. Now she was waiting for the cab at ten o'clock at night when the black color Mercedes came right in front of her. "Miss Anna?" A man come outside and bowed in front of her. She was surprised. "Yes?" Anna was a little scared when she saw a stranger. "I was sent by Master Xavier to pick you up. He wants to meet you." His tone was heavy. He was the right hand man of Xavier. Hearing Xavier's name, Anna felt her BP increase. Just yesterday, she had cleared Xavier's nature, but he was a stubborn man. "But I don’t want to go. Tell your master to stop harassing me." Before that she finished, driver held her wrist and dragged her towards the car. "I don't know to disobey the master's order. He wants to meet you so I have to obey. ”His tone had scared Anna. "Leave my hand, listen to me, and leave me." She struggled to get out of his grip but his grip was tight. "Hey, leave her alone," the cab driver said as he got out of the car and stood with
Dark romance 18+ mature content As soon as she reached the room, Anna's first thought was to call Zarqa. She immediately took her mobile phone out of her shirt pocket and called Zarqa. One, two, three, she don't know how many calls were made but Zarqa did not pick up the number. "Princess !!" Xavier's mysterious voice was heard across the room. "Please pick up Zarqa, please. Save me." "Princess" Voice echoed again. Anna's face turned white. She looked back where Xavier was standing smiling. There was a line of blood on his forehead. "How did you get in?" Anna barely spoke. "Princess, don't forget this is my villa." Xavier smiled and took small steps towards her. "Stay away from me" Her lips trembled, noticing his steps. "Pup ... please, don’t come to me, Xavier." "No, Xavier, don't listen to her. Remember, you have to make her mine; otherwise she will never be yours.” He looked at her condition, her lips were trembling and her color was turning white with fear. Before that he
When he came back from jogging, he entered the room singing and a wrinkle fell on his forehead. She was still in the same position. He went to the washroom to change clothes. It took him an hour to take a shower and change his clothes. But when he came back and looked at the bed, there was concern in his eyes. He walked towards the bed. "Princes, get up, it's morning." Anna was staring at the ceiling with open eyes; he patted her cheek and said in a worried tone. Anna's eyes began to fill with salt water. Lying on the bed, her condition was silently telling the story of night. Her face was red from the slaps. While the blood on her lips was now dry. The blue marks on her neck were clear and convincing proof of her humiliation that Anna Jeffery had lost everything, her honor, her dignity everything. She closed her eyes in agony. "Is there any pain?" Seeing the tears in her eyes, Xavier asked in a disturbing tone. Anna just stared at him blankly who was now examining the wounds on
Anna had been unconscious for the past week. When she regained consciousness, she would start screaming. Xavier had been with her for a week. "What? Are you talking nonsense? ”He shouted on the phone. "No, I can't come. You can't do a single thing without me. If I come tonight, you guys will be ready for your death.” He cut off the call. "John,” He yelled. Anna, who had just regained consciousness, was shocked to hear Xavier's roar. "Yes Master?" John, standing in a daze, bowed his head. "Book me a flight to Singapore today," he said, looking at Anna, whose mind was awake but eyes were closed. "But Sir?" John spoke anxiously and Xavier stared at him. "Don't worry about her, just go and alert our security. Maybe it will take us two or three days to get there,” Xavier said looking at Anna. There were only three of them in Room at that time. Doctors and nurses rarely came to Anna's room. Only when she had to drip or checkup, otherwise, Xavier would always be with her like a shado
As soon as she reached London, she got a cab and gave Zarqa's home address. Zarqa had already written the address. The cab stopped at its destination. When Anna got out of the cab paying the rent, she was surprised. This house was like a palace. Zarqa never told her about that. Telling her identity to the guards at the gate, she entered and Zarqa was waiting for her with a big smile in front of her. When Anna saw her, small pearls sparkled in her eyes again and then suddenly darkness fell. When Anna regained consciousness, she found herself on the bed of a very large room. Her mind was slowly waking up. When Zarqa opened the door and entered. "Anna!!" She came running to her. "Thank goodness you've regained consciousness. The doctor said that you are weak and this is how you have made your condition. Why are you so weak? What happened?” Zarqa started asking her questions while Anna was leaning against the bed and looking at her. Suddenly she hugged Zarqa and started crying. "Anna,
Fifteen days had passed since Anna's arrival here. During her stay, she had the chance to meet Zarqa's parents, who welcomed her warmly. Zarqa had wanted to tell her parents about it, but Anna had strongly discouraged her. She was afraid of him. Just the mention of Xavier's name was enough to make Anna's heart race with anxiety. Lately, Anna had been feeling an overwhelming sense of heaviness. She would tire easily and struggle to eat properly. "Hey Anna, why aren't you having breakfast?" Mrs. The Sheikh inquired, looking at Anna with concern. "I'm not hungry, Auntie," Anna replied wearily. "Would you like me to prepare something else for you?" Mrs. Sheikh asked with love. "Oh no, Aunty, I'm just having some juice right now. If I feel like eating later, I'll have something," Anna refused nicely. "Alright, dear," Mrs. The Sheikh responded sweetly and continued with her breakfast. "Fayal." Mr. The chief addressed his wife. "Yes?" She stopped eating and turned her full attention
"Anna," Zarqa said, seeing her preparation, "What are you trying to say?" "I'm going for a walk," she responded in a monotone voice, "I need some peace." "Shall I go with you?" "No, I'd like to spend some time alone," Anna replied, to which Zarqa nodded. Exiting the house, she found herself in a park just a fifteen-minute walk away. For an extended period, she observed young children playing with vacant eyes, reminiscing about her own childhood. Today, her thoughts were fixated on her parents. If they were still alive, she wouldn't have stumbled onto someone else's doorstep. She realized her loneliness. No one was there for her. Soon, the weather took a turn, as black clouds obscured the sky. The park slowly began to empty, and Anna, too, eventually rose to her feet, taking a deep breath. As she wandered a bit farther from home, an unexpected sight caught her attention. Several cars were parked outside the house. With a sense of surprise, she entered the house, and her steps came
