Third Person's POV As Xander obnoxiously carried a giggling Abigail away, Thaddeus looked back at Aiden who still looked nervous. It wasn't just nervousness that Thaddeus could see, he could also see the fear that lies underneath. "Come on sweetheart, let's go finish lunch." Thaddeus said, reaching forward and taking Aiden's hand into his and lightly tugging on it. Aiden smiled when Thaddeus called him "sweetheart". It made his heart skip a beat, and he felt a warmth spread through his chest. No one has ever talked to him so gently before, nor have they ever called him sweetheart. He looked down at Thaddeus's hand, seeing his small hand inside of Thaddeus's large one, feeling the tingles that dance across his skin from his touch. He looked up at Thaddeus when he felt a small tug on his hand. Aiden stood and followed next to Thaddeus as they headed back toward the dining room. Aiden hung back slightly, unsure if he should sit in the same spot or not. He waited until everyone was se
Third Person's POV Thaddeus rolls his eyes at Xander and Abigail when he glances over and sees the two of them making lovey-dovey eyes at each other, before Xander buries his face in Abigail's neck, making her giggle. He brings his attention back to Marcus, who was trying to talk to him through the link about the conversation he had with Alpha Michael during Abigail's little stunt when she broke through his territory and into Thaddeus'. Apparently, in the last day or two, they've been noticing an increase in scouts on the outside of their territory. This information is quite alarming and immediately puts Thaddeus on edge. "We have to talk about this later, I don't want to get upset in front of Aiden," Thaddeus said to Marcus, through the link. Thaddeus looks over at Aiden and sees he seems to be quiet and picking at his plate. He's not really eating, just pushing things around. Thaddeus wasn't sure why Aiden was like this, but he can definitely tell something was bothering him.
Third Person's POV Aiden was horrified when he saw Xander throw Abigail over his shoulders. Aiden thought Xander looked angry. 'Oh my goodness, what happened? What did she do wrong?' Aiden thought to himself. Aiden felt the panic rising, he didn't know how to help his sister. He was terrified that Xander was going to hurt his sister, or worse, kill her! The sound of a loud smack, made him think for certain Xander was definitely going to kill her! Aiden tried to think hard, desperately trying to think what he could possibly do to help the sister but became more panicked when he realized he was too small, too frail, and too weak. Thaddeus saw how scared Aiden was, he could almost feel Aiden's panic. Thaddeus reached over, gently grabbing Aiden's cheek and turning his head in his direction. Thaddeus cupped Aiden's cheek, lightly stroking it with his thumb, bringing Aiden's attention to his eyes. "It's okay, calm down. She's okay, he won't hurt her. They're just playing around, Xa
Aiden's POV I was so embarrassed, I knew everyone saw how clumsy I am. Before I could even pry myself off the ground , I suddenly felt strong hands, grip my waist and lift me off the ground before setting me on Thaddeus's lap. The movement was so sudden, I almost yelped, my hands flew out before wrapping around. Thaddeus to steady myself. I looked back at Thaddeus and My face felt like it was on fire. I knew for certain my face was bright red, judging by how hot it felt. I looked at Thaddeus, I watched an amused look spread across his face, probably from seeing the blush on my cheeks. That embarrassed me even more, so I quickly pressed my face against his chest to hide, wanting to disappear. I felt Thaddeus kiss the top of my head, and my heart skipped a beat... ' Did he just kiss me?' I wondered. For some reason that made me happy and I felt this warmth spread through my chest. No one's ever given me affection before. No one's ever hugged me, let alone kissed me. The only thing
Third Person's POV Thaddeus sat in his office, with Xander sitting across from him as they waited for Aiden and Abigail to join them. Thaddeus decided it was finally time to get some answers and find out whatever he can about their past, how they got separated, and what happened to Aiden while he was at his old Alpha's pack. They stopped talking and looked towards the door when it suddenly opened and Abigail walked in, dragging Aiden with her. Abigail lets go of Aiden's hand and then walks to Xander, sitting down in the chair next to him. He quickly grabs and yanks her towards him, making sure the chairs are flush together, then reaches over and takes her hand into his. Aiden stood near the door looking nervous as he looked around. Thaddeus could tell he was trying to figure out what he should do and where he should sit. When he finally glanced up, Thaddeus motioned him forward with his finger. Aiden began walking toward Thaddeus, walking around the desk, then stopping just at
Third Person's POV As Abigail talked, Aiden seemed to zone out. Thaddeus saw this and thought maybe it was a lot for him to take in. He tried to comfort Aiden, by gently rubbing his back, rubbing soothing circles but it seemed to do nothing. Aiden sat there, quiet, staring off at nothing while he listened to Abigail speak. But as Aiden sat there he listened to what his sister said. It was hard for Aiden to hear what happened to his people, his family, and his parents. His heart broke hearing what happened. As she spoke he could almost picture the scene unfolding as if he was there. He was almost glad he didn't have any memory of his family because he knew if he did it would hurt that much more. After Abigail stopped talking, Aiden finally seemed to snap out of it. He slowly turned his head to look at his sister and spoke in a quiet voice " W-why don't I r-remember any of this?... W-why don't I remember you?" "I don't know," Abigail said in a soft voice, looking at her brothe
Thaddeus POV Listening to Aiden tell us what that bastard did to him, it took everything in me to contain my wolf. I'm pretty sure if Aiden wasn't sitting in my lap, I would have shifted and taken off to find that piece of shit, and tear him apart. Zeus wanted out, he wanted blood and so did I! But hearing Aiden's cries finally snapped me out of it. I instantly looked at him and my heart broke even more. Aiden was sobbing uncontrollably and he was terrified. After turning him to face me, I wrapped my arms around Aiden, pulling him against my chest and burying my face in his neck. I took several deep breaths, taking in his scent to calm myself and my wolf. I didn't realize until I felt his thumb brush my face, that I was crying. I squeezed him tighter. Without lifting my head, I glanced up. Xander was sitting on the floor in the corner holding Abigail, who was crying. I'm definitely going to need two new chairs now... When Aiden finished telling us what that bastard did to hi
Aiden's POV A date!!! ... I never thought I would ever get to go on a date. I was always told no one would ever want me. I wasn't good enough to have a mate, but here I am... Getting ready to go on my first date with MY mate! I am so excited and nervous. 'Oh my gosh, what do I even wear?' I wondered as I stood in the closet looking around, trying to figure out what in the world to even wear... I actually have clothes now! A few days after I woke up from my injuries, Thaddeus had someone go buy me a whole bunch of new clothes. It took me a little bit to get used to it. I'm actually still not used to having clothes, and nice new ones at that. Not old worn out clothes that I found in the garbage. Everything I look at is new and actually fits me instead of having to be kept up by string or cut so it doesn't hang down to my knees. I finally decided on a nice pair of dark-washed jeans and a simple black button down that I'll roll the sleeves up on. A button-down, can you believe that?
