Chapter 20 First run together

Third Person's POV

Aiden was horrified when he saw Xander throw Abigail over his shoulders. Aiden thought Xander looked angry.

'Oh my goodness, what happened? What did she do wrong?' Aiden thought to himself.

Aiden felt the panic rising, he didn't know how to help his sister. He was terrified that Xander was going to hurt his sister, or worse, kill her! The sound of a loud smack, made him think for certain Xander was definitely going to kill her!

Aiden tried to think hard, desperately trying to think what he could possibly do to help the sister but became more panicked when he realized he was too small, too frail, and too weak.

Thaddeus saw how scared Aiden was, he could almost feel Aiden's panic.

Thaddeus reached over, gently grabbing Aiden's cheek and turning his head in his direction.

Thaddeus cupped Aiden's cheek, lightly stroking it with his thumb, bringing Aiden's attention to his eyes.
