Chapter Ten - Getting to know him

Amya's POV

I woke up staring at a beautiful ceiling that seemed hand carved, there were wolves every where. It took my breath away, I have never really known the luxury of having nice things around, we weren't the riches family in our old pack and because we travelled alot after my wolf Zoe emerged, we just kept as little as possible.

 I looked around and got trapped in a gaze upon the most attractive man I have ever seen. It seemed late but Ryan was up and looked at me with a gentle smile. Everything about him is perfect, his eyes are like deep pools of melted gold. I barely know him but it felt as if I have known him for years. 

Ryan got up from the edge of a large bed that sat across from my bed. He approached me and the closer he came the faster my heart started beating, I thought back to the amazing kiss we shared and how much my body just wanted him. This made me immediately want to carry on where we left off.

" How are you feeling, my love?" Ryan's voice pulled me out of my thoughts and the words 'my love' played with my eardrums, it made me feel good. " I feel fine, thank you. Where am I ?" I tried to fight Zoe hammering on me to ' kiss him and take what is ours' as she puts it. I needed to get to know him, what if he rejects me. I would have to live in this pack for the rest of my life and probably see my mate take another. 

" You are in my room. Do you remember what happened? " He said softly, not wanting to hurt me, I guess. " I do... Why am I in your room?" Startled at the thought that an Alpha would have me sleep in his own bedroom. Not even Keeram shared a bedroom with me. " I wanted to make sure you were propperly looked after. You are my mate ofcourse. " He touched my cheek with his last words, he was so warm and gentle and the tinckles ran through my face with his touch. I felt my cheeks heat up, I am blushing again! " Your mate? Is that why my wolf is driving me crazy?" I said bluntly, regreting my straightforwardness almost immediately.

Ryan chuckled at my confession and seemed appriciative. " Yes, I am glad your wolf is torturing you too. Mine has been going on non stop and we were both worried about you and couldn't sleep." He picked up my hand and stroked it gently. I felt aroused by his touched, so I quickly changed the subject. " How did you find me? Why were you looking for me?" I realized how inquisitive I was being. " Your father was a friend of mine, I owed him my life. He sent me a letter asking for help and we were supposed to meet up yesterday morning, but I arrived at the heartbreaking scene and since your father spoke of you in his letter and told me what was going on, I asumed Alpha Keeram has taken you so we tracked you down. I am just regreting the fact that I didn't arrive sooner." Ryan's face turned sorrowful.

" Thank you for saving me. I didn't think anyone would have come for me. My father didn't tell us about you nor about your meeting. " I paused for a moment then asked, " What time is it and how long was I out for? " After the worlds tumbled out of my mouth I hastily sat up straight. " It is just passed midnight, you were only out for a few hours. I am astonished that you woke up so so soon, you were exhausted. Alfred treated you and said that you are healing quite fast, but don't rush to get up. You have lost a lot of blood and should take it slow. Alfred also said that he found no trace of semen inside you, so you didn't concieve." He said while indicating for me to lay back down. " I want to take a bath, please." I pleadingly asked. " Fine. " He said with a smirk on his face, scooped his hands underneath my body and hoisted me into the air with ease.
