I sat over my bed, the after-effect of the electric shock I received yesterday wore off through the night. My muscles still ached but anger consumed me more.

I don't care who these people were and what had they done, they couldn't be worse than my own father. I had lived with animals my whole life, I was to be handed to a beast in the name of marriage. So, if this person thinks that I will be afraid of him and will cower away in his presence then he is wrong.

I have tried everything I could possibly do while being locked up in this room to take this collar off my neck but it just wouldn't come off. I slammed the back of my neck into the wall multiple times; it only hurt me, and nothing happened to the metal collar.
