LOGINROSALIE'S POV
Striding into the mansion, I halted as two maids approached and the familiar motherly figure, Ms. Agnes.
"Welcome back, Mrs. Blackwood," she said with a slight bow.
A frown crept across my face.
"Rosalie is better, please," I said softly.
She blinked, confused by my words.
"Take her luggage to the bedroom, Agnes," Elijah's voice thundered, sending her into a hurried bow before she scurried off with the other maid.
I marched toward where Elijah sat.
"Please inform your maids and everyone else not to address me as Mrs. Blackwood," I said evenly.
His brow furrowed. "Isn't that why you're here? To act like my wife? If I tell everyone not to call you that, wouldn't it void the contract?" he retorted, holding my gaze.
I folded my arms beneath my breasts.
"But it's fake. The sooner people start using my real name, the easier it will be when this contract ends," I said.
I didn't want Chris feeling uncomfortable when we went out and strangers called me Mrs. Blackwood.
His lips twitched. Rising to his feet, he moved closer while I backed away.
"What exactly do you want? No sex, and now you don't want my name?"
"I want boundaries. I don't think that's too hard to—"
"But I don't want boundaries," he cut in.
My eyes widened as I stared at him.
"You are my wife for these ninety days, so the faster you accept it, the better for you and your fiance," he added with a sly smile.
It was a smile I desperately wanted to wipe off his face.
He knew exactly which nerves to pluck, like a musician who had memorized every string.
"Can I at least have a different room?"
His lips parted to respond, but I beat him to it.
"It's for privacy," I added.
I knew he might refuse.
He tilted his head, his gaze sweeping over my body before settling on my crossed arms, fixed squarely on my boobs.
Seeing his eyes linger there, I cleared my throat.
"No sex between us, Elijah," I reminded him, my voice rising as I covered my chest.
“I never said I wanted sex. You've repeated the word so often that I'm starting to wonder what's hiding behind it." He reached out to touch my face, but I slapped his hand away.
"Nothing is hiding behind my words. I just have more morals than you," I replied, then turned and stormed upstairs before he could do something crazy.
The mansion hadn't changed. Every line and corner remained exactly as we had chosen before our wedding.
My steps faltered at the sight of the familiar door, which swung open as Agnes walked out.
"Ma'am, your luggage is inside. Do you want me to...?"
"I won't be staying in this room. Please move my things to the guest room," I interrupted calmly.
She blinked innocently, but before she could turn, a firm voice rang out.
"You can go and make dinner, Agnes."
Elijah's words forced me to turn around.
Without sparing me a glance, he strode inside.
I followed him in. "I told you I don't want to share a room with you. This violates our agreement." My voice rose sharply as I stood in the center of the room.
"Trust me, I don't want you in my space either, so…" He paused, then walked toward a door I didn't even know existed.
The last time we stayed in this room, I could have sworn there had been only a bare wall there.
He pushed it open. "You'll be staying here." He gestured at the space beyond.
A gasp slipped from my lips.
"You must be joking," I said in disbelief.
Another room, connected to his own?
"This is the only room I have left. Either you stay here with me or move into that one," he said with a careless shrug.
My jaw nearly hit the floor.
"How can I stay in a room you can walk into at any time?" I asked, rage churning in my chest.
"It's your choice, Rosalie," he replied lazily, drifting away from the door toward his desk and removing his wristwatch.
My stomach tightened.
"It feels peaceful here. I miss this woody scent," Kara said in my head.
My frown deepened as I pushed her thoughts away.
Staring at his broad shoulders, I knew it was useless to argue with him, so I strode into the room.
Luckily, I managed to lock the door behind me before slumping onto the queen-size bed.
My eyes fixed on the white ceiling.
"Just ninety days," I whispered, more like to remind myself than anyone else.
Then a thought struck me, I quickly sat up and opened one of my suitcases.
A smile spread across my face at the little frame of Chris and me. I placed it on the vanity beside my bed.
"Perfect," I whispered. With it staring back at me, it felt like Chris could watch over me, and I could watch over him.
The thought had barely sunk in when the shrill ring of my phone broke through the silence.
My lips curved at the name flashing on the screen.
"Hey, baby…" My voice came out low.
"How is it going over there?" Chris asked while I tapped my feet lightly on the floor.
"Nothing serious for now. I've moved into my room. How about we go out this weekend? I have—"
"When does he plan to give you the money he promised?" Chris's voice cut me off.
My brow knitted closer. "I just moved in, Chris. Besides, we still need to draft a proper contract between us. I'm not comfortable with some of the previous terms."
My shoulders sagged at my own words.
"Come on, baby. You don't have to feel pressured by him. As long as you stay faithful, get the money, and spend the ninety days with him, trust me, you'll be fine," he assured me, bringing a smile to my face.
"Then it's settled. I'll just focus on that. This weekend, can we hang out before you leave for the Maldives?" I asked. I would be bored to death living alone with that arrogant jerk.
The other end of the line went silent for a moment before he cleared his throat.
"Umm… I'm leaving for the Maldives tonight."
His words landed like a bomb in my chest.
"Why? I mean, you didn't tell me you were leaving so soon?" My voice came out louder than intended.
He exhaled heavily. "I was going to tell you, but…"
"But what?”
ROSALIE'S POV I yanked my door open, only to find Marcus standing outside. His face was unusually pale, and his expression immediately set me on edge."Luna," he rasped, offering a slight bow.My brows furrowed. "Is there a problem?"It was already late, and I had been preparing to retire for the night. His unexpected appearance couldn't mean anything good.He swallowed hard. "Um... the Alpha."My heart lurched at the sight of his expression."What about him?" I pressed."He got shot at the...""What?!" My voice cut through his before he could finish. My eyes widened as I stared at him in disbelief."How? What happened? What led to him getting shot?" I fired one question after another, stepping closer. "Where is he?"Marcus hesitated, his jaw tightening."Marcus!" I snapped. "Where is Elijah?" My voice rose sharply."He is in the private study."The words had barely left his lips when I tried to walk past him, but he blocked my path."He doesn't want me to tell you this. Can you..."
SIENNA'S POVI paced furiously across my room, my fingers tangled in my hair."Shit! That bastard!" I hissed, coming to an abrupt stop.He had been stalking me for days, and I was running out of patience. How the heck did he keep finding me?A sharp knock shattered my thoughts.I whipped my head toward the door, my brows knitting together. One of my maids stepped inside and bowed slightly. "Ma'am, there's someone your father would like you to meet." I stared at her.At a time like this? With that bastard practically breathing down my neck, the last thing I wanted was to entertain guests."Tell my dad I'm not in the mood to meet anybody." I waved her off dismissively, already reaching for the door to shut it.But the maid didn't move.Instead, her eyes widened slightly as she hurried to speak. "Ma'am, this visitor seems important, and your dad would really like you to—""Oh, please, shut up!" I snapped, cutting her off.How dare she try to persuade me to do something I clearly didn't w
ELIJAH'S POVHer tight cunt was already wet, granting my finger better access to slide in smoothly as her walls clenched greedily around it.My cock twitched in my pants at the way her pussy fluttered, every desperate clench pulling my finger deeper. Her thighs trembled beneath the blanket as she fought to stay quiet, from the teeth sunk into her lip to her fluttering lashes.A chuckle nearly slipped past my lips at her flushed face. She slowly arched her hips against my finger. I rubbed her clit in tight circles until her waist jerked helplessly. The movement must have caught Chris's attention, because he shifted to stare at her."Rosie?" Chris called, studying her face.My lips twitched as I continued, moving slowly, savoring the low, filthy, wet sounds of her cunt. I wondered how Chris couldn't grasp what was happening right under his nose."Umm..." Rosie hummed. At that moment, the doorbell rang. In a blink, she shot to her feet, dragged her dress lower and dashed towards the do
ROSALIE'S POVShoving him away with all my strength, I snatched down my dress and stepped out before Elijah could drag me back.Though I could feel my pussy juices trickling down my thighs, I pressed them together and walked towards Chris. He stood leaning against the wall. "What are you doing here?" I asked with a stiff smile. His brows knitted together as his gaze swept over my body. "You look flushed, and that scent…""Oh, I was just overstimulated," I lied with a dry chuckle. He didn't seem to believe me, yet he offered a small smile. "I heard you scream, so I thought something was wrong," he admitted.I was about to answer when Elijah's familiar scent swirled into my nostrils."Of course nothing can be wrong with her as long as I'm with her," Elijah cut in, stepping up beside me.At that moment, I wished the floor would crack open and swallow me whole.Chris's eyes flickered between us as though he were piecing together a puzzle."What was going on?" he asked, his eyes fixed on m
ROSALIE'S POVI pressed my palm against his chest and pushed him back slightly. "Stop... You need to leave," I breathed, staring into his eyes. His brow lifted as he leaned in. "I can't leave you here alone with him, Rosalie," he declared, making my throat tighten."Either you come with me, or you let me stay here with you," he added. My shoulders sagged. "But he isn't feeling well. I can't just abandon him to fend for himself," I replied. He was being unreasonable. I didn't even want Chris to find him here, because if he did, it might spark another misunderstanding between us.He chuckled and stepped away. "I can arrange for a maid to look after him," he said, and my lips parted, then clamped shut.Shaking my head, I headed for the kitchen instead. Nothing I said would change his mind, and I needed to make food for Chris. The sound of footsteps drew my attention as I entered. "Why are you still following me? You can wait in the living room," I said with a frown. He gave a careless
ROSALIE'S POVA soft moan escaped my lips as I shifted beneath the covers. My eyelids fluttered open, and I turned to the other side of the bed, expecting to find the familiar warmth beside me.Instead, I found an empty space. He was gone.I stared at the rumpled sheets for a moment before releasing a quiet sigh. I had barely begun to push myself upright when a chime broke the silence. My phone.I reached for it on the bedside table, expecting an ordinary notification. But the moment I glanced at the screen, my fingers froze around the device. It was a picture of Chris. He lay on a bed, a drip bag suspended above him, its thin tube running into his arm. His face looked pale, and the sight of him stirred an uncomfortable feeling in my chest.A message accompanied the picture."I know I hurt you, but Rosalie, not checking up on me these past few days has only made my health worse. I miss you."I read the words twice before instantly rising to my feet, guilt coiling deep inside me.Even
