The first shot rang out like a thunderclap in the cold midnight air.

Damon yanked Sarah down behind a rusted ventilation unit as bullets whizzed past them. From across the rooftop, Katrina’s eyes blazed with fury, her lips curled into a twisted smile. The gun in her hand gleamed under the moonlight, her finger still on the trigger.

Lucas dove for cover beside Lou, narrowly missing a second round that ricocheted off a nearby pipe. Damon's security team returned fire, forcing Katrina to retreat behind a stack of weather-worn pallets.

“Cover me,” Damon barked, pulling his own weapon from his coat. He looked back at Sarah, who was already reaching into her boot for the knife she’d concealed. “You shouldn’t be here.”

“I’m not leaving you,” she snapped. “Not now.”

Damon’s eyes burned with a mix of anger and pride. “Then we end this. Tonight.”

They moved in sync, weaving through cover as Katrina’s bullets flew. She moved with unnerving confidence, clearly familiar with the terrain. It was he

The night air was thick and heavy as Damon and Sarah drove through the quiet city streets. The neon glow of the buildings reflected off the sleek black SUV, casting fleeting shadows across Damon’s tense features. He gripped the steering wheel tightly, his mind racing through every contingency, every possible move their unseen enemies might take.Sarah sat beside him, her fingers brushing against his as she handed him a folder of updated intelligence. “This came from Elena,” she said softly. “Jordan traced new signals overnight. They’re active, Damon. They’re moving again.”He nodded, exhaling slowly. “I know. And they’re smarter than we anticipated. Whoever is orchestrating this has patience and reach.”Her hand found his again, this time resting firmly over his. “Then we’ll match them with patience and reach of our own.”Damon’s eyes softened for a moment. “Always,” he murmured, giving her hand a reassuring squeeze. The safehouse was a high-rise facility on the outskirts of the city,

Night had settled over the city, but the lights of Draven Tech shone like a fortress against the darkness. Inside the penthouse, the team gathered around the monitors, their faces tense with concentration. Damon’s fingers drummed lightly on the desk, his jaw tight. The mole had made another move, and Elena’s security feeds had captured partial footage.“Look at this,” Elena said, her voice low. “The intruder has advanced clearance or knowledge. They know the system inside out. Whoever this is, they’ve been inside before, or they’ve studied the layout meticulously.”Damon leaned forward, eyes narrowing. “Any recognizable features?”Elena shook her head. “Not yet. They wore a coat and gloves. Everything’s calculated to avoid detection.”Sarah placed a hand on Damon’s arm. “Could it be someone we already know? Someone internal?”“That’s what I fear,” Damon muttered. His eyes flicked to Maya, who stood silently, arms crossed. Her expression was unreadable, but there was a gleam in her eye

The morning was restless. The city outside the penthouse seemed oblivious to the storm that brewed within Draven Tech. Damon sat at his desk, hands clasped, eyes scanning the reports Elena had compiled overnight. The numbers, the activity logs, the minor discrepancies—they were all pieces of a puzzle that refused to align. Maya Sterling’s presence hung over everything like a shadow, her words from yesterday repeating in his mind. She had knowledge, leverage, and a confidence that made him wary, but he couldn’t ignore the possibility she might give them the edge they desperately needed.Sarah entered quietly, carrying a cup of coffee she had made just the way Damon liked. He didn’t look up at first, focused entirely on the data. When he finally lifted his gaze, his eyes softened, and a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips.“You’re early,” he said, his voice rough from sleep and tension.“I wanted to check on you,” she replied. Her tone was gentle, but underneath it was the firm

The morning broke with a pale gold light streaming through the wide windows of the penthouse. Sarah stirred before Damon, her cheek resting against the steady rise and fall of his chest. For a moment she lay still, letting the warmth of his skin seep into her and the rhythm of his heartbeat remind her that he was here, real and hers in a way she still struggled to believe. She shifted gently, trying not to wake him, and slid out of bed. Wrapping herself in one of his shirts, she padded across the room to the window. The city stretched out below, still shaking off its sleep, and Sarah allowed herself a small smile. Despite the chaos, despite the shadows that still lurked around them, she felt something she had not felt in months—hope.Behind her Damon stirred, his voice low and rough from sleep. “You’re up early.”Sarah turned and met his gaze. His hair was tousled, his eyes still heavy with sleep, but there was a softness there that made her chest tighten.“I couldn’t sleep,” she admi

The first light of dawn seeped slowly through the towering glass windows of the Draven Tech penthouse, casting long shadows that stretched across the war room. Damon Draven stood at the center, his sharp eyes fixed on the array of screens that flickered with endless streams of data. His jaw was set, his mind racing through possibilities and contingencies. The company he had built with his blood and sweat was under siege, but the siege was far from over.“Elena,” Damon called without turning, “what’s the status on the bait project? Any movement from the mole?”Elena’s fingers danced across the keyboard, eyes flicking between lines of code and monitoring dashboards. “We went live with the fake project as planned twenty-four hours ago. So far, the bait has been touched twice. Both times, attempts were made to download files — but our tracking software flagged each access immediately. We’re currently tracing the digital fingerprints left behind.”Lucas Adams stepped in, his expression gri

Chapter 99 – Shadows and RevelationsThe city was cloaked in a heavy silence that night, broken only by the distant hum of traffic and the occasional flicker of neon signs. Inside the glass walls of the Draven Tech penthouse, the atmosphere was charged with tension. Damon sat at the sleek black conference table, eyes fixed on the digital map glowing on the screen before him.“We’re dealing with someone who knows our every move,” Damon said, voice low and tense. “The mole is not just stealing data — they’re sabotaging projects, feeding false information, and trying to fracture us from within.”Lucas leaned forward, fingers steepled. “Elena’s findings confirmed it. This is professional — more than just a disgruntled employee. The encrypted files hidden in Marco Liu’s work folder are designed to mislead us. Someone is framing him.”Sarah, standing beside Damon, clenched her fists. “So who else has the knowledge and access to pull this off?”Lou, who had just arrived from a security sweep
