CHAPTER 41
After struggling to get transport that late night Julia eventually got home. She hurriedly switched on the lights before taking out her purse from the stolen bag. She had hastily ran over the car and retrieved her purse before the police got there and was glad all her belongings were inside and safe. Switching on her phone she gazed around for a sign of Joshua but found non then sighed in relief as she was in no mood to explain herself to anyone. She scrolled through the phone and was surprised to find not a single message or missed call from Joshua. Strange. She then ran up the stairs straight to her spare room where she stacked the stolen bag underneath the bed then threw her tired self onto the bed glad to finally be home and safe.

With shaky fingers, Helen answered the call just as she locked the door
"What is it?" she snapped feeling irrit

There was a brief silence after the shoot, with both genders look intensely into each other's eyes. A tear escaped Helen's eyes, just as a painful groan escaped Timothy's lips. They both simultaneously leg go of the gun, as Timothy's left hand found its way to his stomach. Blood gushed out and all Helen could do was stare looking heavily dumbfounded. Tim let out a painful cough as blood gushed out of his lips yet he still failed to say anything no matter how he tried. Raymond was still in his head when the door flew open revealing a very furious Richard. Two days passed with Richard moving to and fro trying to negotiate bail for his daughter while on the other with hand Julia locked up in her room with tissues lying all over. She hadn't communicated with anybody in the last two days, and neither was she in the mood to talk to anyone at all. Hunger was the last thing on her mind, and she similarly hadn't had her bath in those past two days. Dragging herself out of bed she walked into the bathroom and took a quick shower before cleaning up her room and walking out, sure to grab one of the car keys on her way out. She had cried enough, and all she wanted was to let Richard feel the pain she had felt if not double. She was going to ensure Helen never got out of prison as payback, and she was going to ensure he died a slow and very painful death while hopelessly watching his beloved daughter suffer behind the walls of the unforgiving prison. Julia locked up the main door just as Raymond loaded her suitcase into the car. She lingered by the door for a while, the memories of Joshua walking in and out playing at the back of her head. The more she thought of him the heavier her heart became. She stared at her phone screen hoping for a call from Khumbu but there was non. She was worried sick, and she couldn't tell Raymond the what truly happened. Did he know Joshua was a paid assassin? That was her question and she was going to ask him. Maybe later. Her main focus was Richard at that point. She wanted to strike and get out of the house within two days. And day one had just begun. He stood next to Julia and rested his hand on her back as if to assure her to stay calm.
