It was around eight when Raymond dropped Joshua home. He locked the door upon entering and helped himself to a bowel of noodles being the bachelor he was before settling on the couch and switching on the television. Tuning to the news channel the news of Dominic taking out seven men all at once and the date of his trial were making the headlines and he could only but smile within knowing fully well that it was all his doing. The head of police then gave a statement in regards to how Dominic still was not giving away the identity of the notorious masterjay who some refered to as the master of the guns because of his illegal weaponry operations.

"We do not have the identity of the mystery man yet but we are still pushing, if Dominic had a rivalry with Darian brutal enough to assassinate him then he has to know who masterjay is. He will crack soon."

"You bet!" Joshua mumbled switching off the television and treading to his study where he spent most of his nights. Taking to his seat he roamed past the pile of papers on his desk then went on to switch on his laptop looking for recent updates. The internet still had the news of the assassination of the former minister of finance and it was quite unfortunate they still did not know who had done it. The police had indeed a whole lot of cases to tend to and he could only but smile at the confusion he was causing amongst them and he would bet his life on anybody claiming that the police would someday solve that mystery because he only but did clean jobs, so yes he had carried out that assassination, he had killed the former minister of finance he was assasin number one, and killing, it was his job.

Julia was woken up by a disturbingly loud knock to her door. It was still night time she was sure of it but who was the person rudely banging on her door. Looking out for her walking stick she straightened it and stealthily walked out praying it was not danger itself calling out to her

"Who is it?" she asked but got no responce

"Hello?Who is knocking?" she asked again and it was then that she heard familiar sobs. Quickly unlocking and opening the door a crying Mandy fell into her arms her sobs becoming louder.

"Mandy...are you okay why are you crying?" she asked but got no responce only cries. Locking the door after her she helped Mandy to the couch where she hugged her again as she cried all her pain away.

*****

"I can feel your presence Mandy. Breakfast is ready join me." said Julia to Amanda who had been standing a distance away watching her feel her way around the kitchen. She then served the breakfast before taking the seat opposite to a curious Amanda

"How do you always do this? How do you know what to place and where to place it?"

"Well, i know my house very well. I may be blind but that makes my other senses sharper. I have a sharp memory too." she said sipping her tea

"Are you not going to ask me what happened?" asked Mandy after a moment of silence

"I wanted you to talk about it when you are ready. Are you?"

"Well i had a fight with Steven last night. He came home pretty late and his clothes smudged with traits of lipstick. I asked him about it but he denied everything we then argued and everything got out of control so..."

"Did he hit you?"

"Huh?"

"I said did he hit you and dont lie to me Amanda."

"No...no he didnt i mean he..." she stuttered failing to mould the lie then burst into tears. Julia walked over to her and hugged here warmly.

"Its okay its over now okay? You are here with me now and you will not go back to that pig."

"Can i stay?I dont..."

"Its okay you dont even have to ask. After work we go collect your belongings is that fine?"

"Thanks Julia. I dont know what i would have done or have gone..."

"Its okay no need to thank me you know i got you. Are you sure you are good to go i can report you sick."

"No its fine i need the destruction. I will be fine dont you worry..."

******

"Can i use your stapler? I cant find mine." said Raymond entering Helen's room.

"Let me call you back, Ray is here." she cut the call then opened her bedside drawer taking out a red stapler

"That was Grace." she said managing to wipe the smile off Raymond's face

"Oh."

"Oh?Is that all you are going to say?She is your future wife Ray."

"I will bring this back later." said Raymond leaving the room

"The sooner you embrace that girl the better. She is nice you know." that did not stop Raymond from walking away. Helen had managed to poison his mood that happy morning but it was indeed the truth he kept pushing to the side. Grace was coming back in a month and Joshua was not making matters easy for him either. He had blatantly refused to be part of the plan and truth was he knew Joshua would refuse, he was never the marriage type but he still chose to take the risk now see where it had landed him. If he wanted to have Julia all to himself he had to come up with another plan, a solid one or better still try luring Joshua in one more time, and he was so going to need pure luck on that one.

******

The two women got out of the cab and walked into the quiet house Amanda leading the way

"Its okay he wont do anything to you." she assured her and they continued their way and eventually entered the house

"I dont think he is around. I will pack up quickly and we leave." she said hurrying into the bedroom leaving Julia seated by the couch. She emerged few minutes later with a medium sized suitcase a handbag and travelling bag. Carrying it all towards Julia the door burst open and Steve walked in, his intimidating aura filling the room

"What is going on here?" he asked making Amanda tense out

"Uhm...Mandy wants some space so she is leaving."

"I wasnt talking to you, Amanda i said what is going on here?"

"Well...uhm..."

"Speak out!" he shouted scaring both women, "You are not planning on leaving me are you?"

"I am tired Steven. I am tired i....i cant anymore so please, i dont want this anymore."

"Are you breaking up with me?Amanda last night was a mistake i didnt mean to hit you i just..." Amanda immediately pushed him away when he tried to get too close. Julia stood up and stretched out her hand to help carry her luggage but Steven shoved her away

"I need to go excuse me." said Mandy but the man turned and shifted his focus to blind Julia

"So you have been the one influencing her to leave me huh? It was you right?" Amanda quickly circled her way around him walked over to Julia, handing her travelling bag

"Goodbye Steven." she said turning to leave but the man ruthlessly grabbed Julia's hand yet as he attempted to do more her stick found its way up his thighs hitting him where the sun doesn't shine. His groans filled the room while taking to the floor his gaze never leaving shell-shocked Amanda

"You dont mess with me Steven." she said then pulled reluctant Amanda along. The two girls walked out feeling high and proud yet leaving Steven feeling furious. What could be more embarrassing than being taken down by a girl, let alone a blind girl and he most definitely was not going to let her getaway with it. Never.

Joshua made a slight knock before entering Raymond's house a whole three months later. It had been one hell of a task for all of them to live through the trauma, and even harder to tell Helen since she was pregnant but Raymond did still, she had to know. Non of them had healed since then but they were trying "Hey." he said walking over to the bed where he sat with a pile of papers work subsequently being the only thing keeping him sane. "Hey come on in." he smiled carefully placing the papers away before going to join him on the couch. Joshua helped himself to the wine on the little table before him, pouring another glass for Raymond. Nothing was the same anymore, and that was the first time they were seeing each other since that dreaded day "I just wanted to check on you." said Joshua with a sip. Raymond gulped the wine liquid at one go, then poured in more "How have you been? I'm sorry i couldn't reach out i just..." "Its okay. You don't hav

Julia felt like puking, and Raymond froze in place. As for Joshua, he was still trying to understand what in the world was happening at that point. Almost a whole minute passed with all four quiet, the revelations sinking in. It was then that the sent guard walked in with a singles mattress and a blanket. He went on to carefully place quivering Julia on it and covered her with the blanket, the four victims still wound up in their different thoughts"Whoaa wait wait what the hell did you just say to Julia?!" fumed Raymond forcing himself out of Joshua's grip and he similarly did not bother to shove him back. He was too baffled to"You were not going to shoot me were you?" mumbled Raymond"Of course not!" cursed Joshua his gaze finding his wife, "What do you mean bombed our farm what are you talking about?" he asked further confusing a confusion struck Raymond"You know what? How about we let father do all the talking and we do all t

Julia had subsequently grown numb from all the pain, her feet being something she wasn't sure she still had. She struggled to open her eyes, eyelids heavy and body threatening to pass out. She released a painful cough, her gaze sweeping around the area and she realize she could no longer see properly. Everything seemed blurry, and a voice had her turning to trace it"Boss, at this rate she might die. She is weak." one of the men said. Richard walked closer and examined her. Although her vision was blurred, she could see him looking closely into her scarred face, she wished he would kill her already, the pain being unbearable any longer. But before she died, she saw it as a chance to satisfy her curiosity. Why did this family possess a picture her mother possessed as well. Maybe she once worked for them they were a rich family, and her mother was a maid"The...that picture." she whispered just as she let out a dry cough, blood almost splattering on Richard

  • A BLOOD STAINED 'I DO'   CHAPTER 54

Ricky felt like he was in some car racing tournament moments after he told Joshua the truth. Joshua wanted to get home at that point, he couldn't just go to Richards house he was unarmed. All he wanted was to arm himself and then leave. But he still couldn't figure out why Julia would be in a dungeon in Richard's house."Did he find out about their relationship?" he asked himself but there was no true telling to that. Another possibility crept in, Julia was an assassin, so maybe Richard had been the target? But he immediately dismissed it, Julia wouldn't kill Raymond's father she loved him. Or so he thought. After struggling to come up with a possibility that makes sense Joshua and Ricky finally arrived home. He immediately got out of the car but was greeted by a sharp pain to his chest. He was still bandaged and his wound not fully recovered, but that was the least of his problems. He wanted Julia in the house, in his sight and safe! He didn't care what she trained in

Richard wore a black shirt, knee length pair of shorts and sandals walking into the room. Besides the three guards he walked in with, two more came in both carrying torches which immediately lit up the room. Julia looked at the six men staring her down and felt like she was going to collapse. She felt very hungry and was consequently losing her strength, but there was no way she was going down without a fight"Young lady, you came into the lion's den, all by yourself and now you are tied like a criminal in the dungeon awaiting your miserable death." he said stooping down to her level and staring at her cold eyes"Yes i did it. I bombed the place. But for me to kill a beautiful young woman like yourself will be completely uncalled for don't you think? But then again if i hadn't caught you who knows what you would have done?" Julia spit into his face further infuriating him. Out of nowhere a cold hard slap landed on her face while Richard stood to his feet cl
