Cassy Benson was bought by Alpha Lino, because she was an Omega. Alpha Lino has Eleanor, his mate, but she couldn't give him a child which he badly wanted. So he bought slaves every month just to see if anyone could give him a child. When he met Cassy, she took in shocking everyone. Though Eleanor wasn't happy about this. Her hatred for Cassy grew daily, what actually fueled her hatred was the fact that Alpha Lino wanted Cassy to be the Luna instead of her. Though Cassy refused the offer, but that didn't stop Eleanor from doing what she wanted. She successfully planned everything, and she killed Cassy together with her unborn child. She was killed for something she had no control over. Before Cassy died, she prayed for a second chance at life, she prayed to avenge her death and that of her child. She swore she was gonna make Eleanor pay for what she did to her. She cried to the Moon goddess, asking for a second chance at life. Did the moon goddess grant her request? Was she given a second chance at life? Would she be able to make Eleanor pay? Stay tuned. You can follow on Facebook @ Booksby K Thurah for more updates on my books~

Chapter 1

Chosen by the Alpha

 Chapter 1

Cassy stood in a line of wrapper-clad women, staring wide-eyed at the castle’s front with the rest of the women. Like them, she was bundled in a colorful wrapper like she was some gift to be offered to someone. She picked at the hem of the obscene material, feeling rather uncomfortable with the way her round bosoms jutted out of it and how it clung to every curve and corner of her body. She might have as well been naked.

Cassy had no idea why she was there. She had awoken to her father’s howl of pain and her door had been knocked down by men she didn’t know, hadn’t met before. She had been hoisted and tossed over the shoulder of one of the men. Her parents had tried—not that they could do much against the men who had taken her. The power they exuded was nothing an Omega could fight against.

If her father’s split lip was any indication of that little fact.

She blinked back the tears that sprang to her eyes from the thought of it. She wondered how they were doing. Her father didn’t seem to have been faring well when the men had whisked her away. She could only hope they were fine. Hopefully, she’d be back home after this was done—whatever this was.

The sun was at its Zenith and sweat beaded on Cassy’s brow as she stared ahead to the hallway where two men stood.  One of which she recognized as Alpha Lino. His auburn red hair gleamed in the sunlight and she couldn’t help but notice how much it looked like flames. His hazel-green eyes were dull and flat as he gazed upon them, searching for something. . .someone.

The second man, a dark-haired male with dark eyes, came down the stairs and walked to them, handing each of them a tag painted with different colors.

Cassy stared at the tag. Hers was an odd shade of green she had never seen before. Her eyes scanned the courtyard and Cassy couldn’t help but wonder what was happening.

What was the tag for? Why were they even here?

The man then ordered the lady at the front of the line to step forward, raise her tag and turn around for assessment. The woman obeyed without question and Cassy noted the sway and swish of the woman’s hips as she did. The man then looked to Alpha Lino as if for approval, but Alpha Lino shook his head sideways, indicating that she wasn't the one he wanted.   Cassy still didn’t understand, but she watched each woman do the same until she was at the front of the line.

Her hands grew clammy as she raised the tag and spun quickly in a perfect circle, vision blurring. She then raised her gaze in time to see Alpha Lino nod curtly to the man. Her eyes widened. He hadn’t nodded for the rest. Why her? What did that mean?  She was made to leave the line while the rest were sent away. She made to ask the man what was happening but he ordered, “Follow me.”

Cassy's heart slammed hard against her ribcage, fear increasing with every step she took into the castle. Towards Alpha Lino’s looming figure. She swallowed and tried to calm her raging heart. It only seemed to beat even faster, especially when she realized he was looking at her.

They stopped before Alpha Lino and Cassy’s gaze dropped to the floor. She couldn’t hold the Alpha’s gaze.

When he said nothing, she stole a quick glance at him and she saw that his eyes swept her body slowly in a rather disturbing way that left goosebumps on her arms. His eyes snagged on her generous bosoms that were nearly spilling out of the wrapper and they started to glow with unholy fire. His lips curved slightly and Cassy couldn’t tell if he was laughing or sneering.

"Take her. Ensure she is ready," Alpha Lino stated and he left.

The man inclined his head towards the hallway. "Come with me."

Cassy strode after the man, and he led her to a room filled with ladies dressed in the same uniform. Maids.

Some blatantly stared at her, some gave her hateful glares, and the rest acted as though she was invincible.

“Get her ready,” The man said and walked from the room, leaving Cassy, who was confused and too nervous to understand what was going on.

Before she could speak, she was pushed into the biggest bathroom she had seen. As if it weren’t enough, they started to loosen her hair from the knot she had braided it into the night before and proceeded to yank the wrapper off her.

She snapped then, holding the piece of cloth to her body. “Don’t touch me! What is this?! What is happening?!”

It was already a crazy day and from the moment she opened her eyes, the day had gone downhill. She wanted to push them off her but looking at them made her rethink it.

One of the maids yanked her hair and she whipped her head around to growl at the maid, but someone was way ahead of her.

“Stop that, Leah.” The older woman chided and turned to Cassy, giving them a small, warm smile. She held up the brush and motioned for Cassy to hand over the towel.

Cassy eyed her skeptically. “Is this necessary? I can wash myself, you know.”

The woman’s soft smile didn’t falter as she said, “We must bathe you in the Goddess’s Water of Fertility, to ensure conception. So, yes. It is necessary.”

Cassy frowned. “To ensure conception?” She muttered to herself.

The maid noted the confusion on Cassy’s face and her brows rose in surprise. “You do not know why you have been brought here?”

Cassy shook her head.   A maid behind her snorted. "It is all a ruse. To play the fool. We have seen this before. Should she indeed be telling the truth, it is not your place to tell her anything, Jessica?”

Cassy’s frown only deepened but she said nothing. Dread recoiled in her stomach and she swallowed. What. . .what was going on?

"She does not look like she is telling a lie," Jessica said.

"So you have said thrice now and you’ve had to kiss the ground beneath their feet. Work, Jessica!" The woman replied and that was that.

Eleanor, the fairest
Chapter 2 After an hour of several grueling treatments to several parts of her body, Cassy was made to wear a long garment that barely hid anything beneath. It hid nothing at all! She felt so naked and she hugged her chest, shivering. "You may leave now. Beta Kayden awaits you outside," Jessica said. She turned to leave the room when a stunning woman walked in. Her steps were slow, unhurried, and graceful. She moved like the wind and her lithe form made it much more surreal. Her blond curls bounced about her head as she walked and her honey-brown eyes sparked with ire. Her deep purple robes flowed about her like pools of water and her heeled slippers clicked against the marble floors as she walked forward, toward Cassy. Cassy dipped her head in a bow, instantly recognizing the woman and the emblem on her chest. She was Alpha Lino’s mate. Eleanor, the fairest. Everyone knew her as that. . .and the ballads sung in her name did her no justice. She was the most beautiful wo

Stay
Chapter 3 Cassy walked into the room and she saw Alpha Lino sitting by the edge of the bed. His gaze rose from the cackling fire hearth and he stood, towering well above her. He took soundless steps towards her and Cassy's breaths came faster. Unable to hold his hazel gaze again, Cassy's head dropped. The aura about him was domineering. She had never stood close enough to an Alpha before. It felt like being crushed under a boulder. Her shoulders curved in and she trembled with fear. She gripped the light silhouette of her gown hard enough to crumple to soft material, as she tried to control herself. Her fear. "Look at me," Alpha Lino said. Cassy couldn't. She couldn't raise her gaze. His aura was crushing. A whimper escaped her lips and the pressure lessened. Her gaze lifted, slowly, and met with his hazel eyes. They were softer than they were earlier but something else shimmered there. Something she didn't understand. His gaze raked her body once more and he

Why do you need a child?
Chapter 4 With the word from the sorcerer, Alpha Lino had taken to purchasing slaves, Omegas, and mating with them to produce an heir but none of them had given him a child. None of them could. He was starting to think the sorcerer had lied to him.He sighed and the woman stirred at the sound of it. Her eyes snapped open and her red-rimmed eyes darted about until they focused on him and widened. The fear in her eyes was a punch to his gut and he immediately apologized. "I'm sorry," he said. The woman blinked and her cerulean blue gaze narrowed, feeling him out. The fear disappeared and it was replaced with curiosity. Alpha Lino found it strange but he only extended the shirt to her. "I'm sorry," he said again, hoping it was enough for everything he'd put her through. Surprisingly, she nodded slightly and stretched to take the shirt from him. She paused and her cheeks burned when she realized she was naked."You could use the bath and change into this. I would li

Oh?
Chapter 5 Two months later, Cassy's father brought her before Alpha Lino. She had taken in. Alpha Lino had taken Cassy into his arms and spun her around, howling in delight. Cassy, despite herself and her waring hormones, she laughed. Alpha Lino had realized what he was doing and he'd dropped her, murmuring an apology, with his face beet-red. And Goddess help her, Cassy found the Alpha oddly handsome when he was flustered. Cassy's pregnancy had been a surprise to everyone. Most had believed that the Alpha couldn't have a child. Or rather, couldn't father a child. However, she had proved them wrong. If her constant morning sickness and dizzy spells in the castle were any indication. Eleanor watched Cassy from afar. Watched how the woman grew closer to her mate with each passing day. Watched how Alpha Lino doted on the woman and visited her chambers frequently. She couldn't remember the last time her mate had graced her chambers since the news came. Every eye that tu

Announcement
Chapter 6 Alpha Lino shot her a knowing smile and placed a hand on the small of her back, urging her forward. "Come." Cassy scowled, even as she walked with him. "Remind me again why I must be in attendance?" "It is important you be there, Cass." Cass. He called her that every time she became annoyingly inquisitive, and every time he was being cryptic. Though they had only known each other for a couple of months, it felt like she knew him like she knew her name. "Tell me something, Lino. Anything." Lino. She was the only one who he allowed to call him that. He preferred to be just himself around her, he'd said. "You'll find out soon, Cass. No more questions!" He chided as they took the left turn to the Grand Hall. Cassy nibbled on her lower lip nervously as the voices of the pack leaders escaped the Hall and teased her ears. Nervous. She was nervous. She'd never been to any such gathering in her life. Over the past months, Lino had taken to introducing h

Bleeding heart
As Cassy followed Eleanor through the forest, she stole glances at the woman. Her posture was stiff and she didn't so much as spare Cassy a glance. "You don't like me much, do you?" Eleanor smiled. "I'm sure we can set aside our differences for the better of the pack. For the Alpha's child in your womb." Cassy's shoulders caved. "I'm really sorry, about all of this. I really didn't want any of it." Cassy meant it. She felt for Eleanor and she was going to give Lino a piece of her mind when they returned. "It's alright. I understand," Eleanor answered and flashed her another bright smile before inclining her head to a different path. "This way. People rarely come here. Only Lunas can walk here. " Cassy nodded, following her deeper into the forest. The walk was refreshing and the chirping of birds filled the air. She felt the slight change in the aura when they stepped foot into it. The serenity of it. The strength in the air. The way time seemed to sti

The Missing Luna
The rain poured down relentlessly, beating down on the wolves who tried and failed to pick up on Cassy's scent. "Cassy!" Alpha Lino bellowed and a roar of outrage followed. He'd never been so scared in his entire left. So helpless. He would've picked up on her trail, had the rain not washed it away by the time he noticed she was gone. He had searched everywhere he thought she would be, her hiding spots every time she didn't want to be found gobbling down more food. To keep the baby happy, she'd said. He'd searched the gardens, and her chambers, he'd torn apart the castle in search of her. He'd found nothing. All of her things were accounted for. He'd made sure to ask the maids, just to be sure she hadn't run-- though he'd seen no reason why she would. Yes. He should've spoken to her about naming her Luna before announcing it to the whole world. She had been furious and he would never forget the anger that shone in her eyes when he had made the announcement. But th

Reborn Soul
The moon goddess watched the woman on the floor, angling her head with the grace only an immortal could attain. The woman was already dead, and the baby in her belly dead long before she did. The goddess would have struck the woman who had dared to spill innocent blood on her sacred grounds without mercy dead but it the woman's life was not hers to claim anymore. Eleanor Badminton's life was Cassy Benson's to claim. The Moon Goddess frowned as she mulled over a thought. The dead woman's last moments surfaced. Blue eyes filled with pain had looked to the skies and to her and the woman had pleaded. For once chance. To live again. To make it right. To avenge the life of the child she had loved so much. The Moon Goddess wasn't prone to violence. She detested it. However, she could see the lines of the future falling into place. She had blessed Cassy with the child, therefore blessing her favored Alpha, Lino. What had occurred was a fluke that needed to be corrected and th

She's back
Cassy threaded the halls in her plain white robe. The sentries at the gate had taken one look at her face, her garments, and the ice in her eyes and they let her in, gaping at her in awe. The castle seemed the same. Smelled the same. The maids loitered about, gossiping about things that piqued their interest, the sentries and wolves trained on the grounds, and overly dressed females wandered the halls, hoping to catch the eyes of the unmated males of the pack. It was just like it had been a month before. Before she died. It was the same, but Cassy was not. And they noticed it. The moment they noticed Cassy, a hush fell over them. Then they started to whisper and point at her. She recognized her handmaidens amongst them. They stared at her with surprise but she didn't spare them a second glance as she walked past, that stoic expression glued to her face. "Lady Cassy?" Cassy paused and tilted her head slightly. She noted the maid, Jessica. Jessica
