Silver’s POV

I walked quietly away from the door and headed to the conference room, ignoring the moans that came from inside my husband's office. I clenched on to the document in my hand, breathing slowly to calm my nerves.

The conference was filled with important board committees of the pack.

“Ma'am,” One of the board members called out.

“The meeting was supposed to begin ten minutes ago. We thought you were going to inform the alpha,”

“My husband will be here shortly,” I assured him with a warm smile. “He is performing a task which will definitely not take much time,”

I was barely done when the secretary announced my husband, Alpha Rune's presence by the door. Everyone stood to their feet, everyone except me. I turned to meet his gaze as he stepped in with a blissful smile.

That smile made my stomach burn with excitement. Excitement because I was finally certain and there was no more regret for the move I was going to make.

“Wife,” He gave me a kiss as he took his seat beside me.

“You look beautiful,”

I grinned instinctively, not to his compliment but because of the scent I had picked from him. The pungent smell of sex which was masked with the scent of a hand sanitizer that I could spot in his trousers' pocket and an expensive feminine perfume which was all over his suit.

“Please be seated,” He said. Shortly, his younger brother Macai walked in with a lady by his side. Not just any lady, the head of the most powerful family in Eclipse Pack. She walked with a radiating aura and sat beside me.

I turned to her with a smile. “Miss Natasha,”

“Silver,” She answered warmly. Her wrinkled chin was the only factor that could prove that she was already past fifty.

“That's a nice outfit, I would like to borrow it sometimes,”

“I will give you mine, if you give me yours,” My gaze narrowed to her bag and in between files, I could spot the perfume.

“Nice — the perfume — it's really expensive. I will trade you for it,”

“It's a deal,” she replied with a goofy chuckle.

“I think my husband would like it very much. Won't you like that, husband?” My eyes turned fiercely to Rune who listened to our conversation with a blank expression. The tension among the three of us was palpable and intense.

I cautioned myself from pushing further but I was certain. The perfume’s scent was the same, Natasha was his mistress.

“Can we start this? I have other business to attend to,” Macai spoke impatiently.

“Thank you all for coming,” Rune began

“We all know the purpose of today's meeting. The problem our company and pack is facing,”

“Blank Enterprise,” Macai voiced as he opened the file in his hand.

“Our competitor for over a year. The company is a ghost but somehow they had managed to steal all our clients from the other packs,”

“You are the head of the Elite squad, Macai. Why haven't you managed to find a way to crumble this company?” Natasha asked.

“I tried sending spies in but they are always discovered. Their CEO — Caitlyn — she is very smart. She anticipates our every move,” He responded swiftly.

“She’s a girl. How smart can she be?” Councilman Chambers remarked.

“What do you mean by that?” The question spilled out without thinking.

“Excuse me, Luna. I don't quite understand your question,”

“You said she's a girl. Do you think females aren't smart enough to beat a man in business?” I retorted curtly.

“This company was started by Rune and I, just after college. So I don't understand your statement, elaborate please,”

“I didn't mean to…”

“We all understand what he meant, Silver,” Natasha chipped in abruptly.

“And correction to you, Chambers. She isn't our Luna, Alpha Rune hasn't named her to be one yet,”

“We have the silver from the mines but nowhere to sell them,” Rune spoke to break the tension.

“She's stealing our allies, our source of income is dwindling everyday. So we came up with a solution,”

I smiled because the pronoun he used didn't involve me. I have no idea that they were brainstorming a way out. I wasn't surprised because it had been how I was treated for two years.

“I have agreed to merge the Giriro company with Alpha Rune's Diamond Enterprise,” Natasha announced and the room thundered with applause.

“Our alliance will ensure joint growth and shared losses. I have also acquired a buyer for all the mine’s silver,”

“With this new relationship, a new Division has been selected,” Rune announced. At the end of the statement, he hesitated before he continued.

“Miss Natasha will begin the role of the chairlady of the board. She will also become the new head of the council parliament,”

The new order brought murmurs and confusion in the conference room. My gaze shifted in time to see the grin on Natasha’s face.

“She is the new chairlady. You gave her my position?” I reacted with a baffled look. “The only position I occupy in a company I built with you for five years.”

“No hard feelings, Silver. It's either this or the company crumbles,” Macai stated. I knew he was glad about the new changes. Ever since he received a slap for getting handsy with me, his attitude switched.

“In our six years of marriage, you never named me Luna. You gave me nothing other than the position I maintained from when we built this company,”

“What are you going on about?” Rune asked with a furious look.

“We didn't build anything. I built you, I made you to be someone worthy of society.”

“You made me?” I reacted in shock. The man I was looking at, sounded nothing like who I fell in love with.

“When did that happen, exactly? Was it during the time I joined you in collecting a loan to buy the mines? Or when I reached out to every councilor to convince them into investing?”

“You helped in building the company, good. Now we…”

“Natasha,” I muttered, cutting whatever she was about to say short.

“I was speaking to my husband. If you want to talk to him, you wait until you both are alone again,”

“Excuse me,” she feigned ignorance.

“Don't be like that, I know,” I nodded with a smile.

“It's fine, really. The only painful part is that I am the last person to find out,”

“My affair is my business. Your job is to shut up and obey your husband,” Rune spat with a nonchalant look.

“No, I'm not built like that,” I replied softly.

“I can't be your slave, Rune. My love for you made me a fool once but no more,”

He and his brother burst into laughter.

“Where do you plan to go? You have nothing, you are no one without this pack. An Omega,” Natasha asked as she joined them in laughter.

“At least I would be somewhere I wouldn't be forced to witness a lady lay with someone half her age,” I answered and the smile slowly faded in her face.

“For what? Power?”

“You slut!” Rune raised his hand at me with rage and just before it descended, I tossed the file I had been holding to him.

“What is that?”

“Maybe fucking your mum had messed your brain up to a point that you can't read,” I spoke boldly.

“Pick up the file, Rune,”

He slowly grabbed the document from the table and read through it. From first glance, I could see his hands trembling.

“How …what?”

“Have you lost your tongue, husband?” I asked.

“Everyone meet Caitlyn,” I pulled the door open for her to step in.

The room became filled with gasps of shock and surprise. Their chatters and rumblings became even louder.

“How do you know the head of Blank Enterprise?” Macai asked curiously. The look on their faces was priceless. Two and a half years of careful planning was worth it at the end.

“Caitlyn isn't the head of Blank Enterprise,” Rune said to his brother. His gaze still fixated on the document that I handed to him.

“Silver is the one running it,” He added as he stumbled back into his chair.

“What do you mean she is the one running it? Are you saying she owns the damn company?” Natasha asked with a trembling voice.

“That's exactly what he is saying,” I voiced clearly.

“I created it when I realized that I was being used for my talent, manipulated by a family with false tongues. Caitlyn is a paid actor that I employed,”

“You won't get away with this!” Macai blurted furiously.

“Oh I have, little Macai. The silver products from the mine that were bought by an anonymous buyer were purchased by me. The mines I purchased with the loan that had my name on the leash had been sold out to interested parties,”

“What is she saying?”

“Are there no more mines?”

The board and council members raised their concerns in loud voices. The room quickly turned upside down and amidst that chaos, I made my way to Rune who sat frozen to his chair.

“I won't rest until I burn you alive,” He whispered, his warm breath slapping across my face.

“You already burnt my heart. What more could you take?” I leaned in closer and gave him one last kiss.

“Where do you think you are going?” He yelled out in frustration. The room became silent again as they watched in suspense.

“It's one thing to build but it's another to have your people by your side. You are an Omega! A rat!”

“The document on your table is our divorce papers. Sign it and have it sent to the Salvatore's mansion in Echo City,”

“Salvatore? As in Vican Salvatore? The billionaire?” Macai inquired.

“You think being a whore for an old billionaire will save you? You can't fuck your way out of this,”

“Not everyone is a bitch like your family, Macai. We don't screw old women to achieve fame, we earn it,” I replied calmly.

“The old man won't save you! With time, he will cast you out!” Rune lashed out angrily.

“Control your emotions, please.” I urged.

“Let me rephrase for you dummies. Sign the divorce papers and send it to my father's house, the Salvatore mansion.”

“Your father?”

I didn't wait to listen to their responses before exiting. I walked out of the building with excitement bubbling up inside of me. All the planning was worth it at the end.

“It's a pleasure,” I shook hands with Caitlyn.

“What now?” She asked curiously.

“I’m going back home,”

The longer it went on, the thirstier I became for more.He lowered me onto the bed, heaving heavily as he took off his unbuttoned shirt. Looking up at such a marvelous creation caused saliva to pool in my mouth; my eyes mapped the area from his chest to his abs, enjoying the view as my gaze drifted lower to the huge bulge visible through his trousers.“Pardon me,” he muttered as he unclipped my trousers. With one swift move, they were off my waist, revealing my wet black panties. I arched my back against the bed, ravishing in the heat pooling beneath my stomach.I shut my eyes, gulping hard when I felt him hover over me. The warmth of his tongue on my neck startled me as I gasped softly for breath. The feeling deepened, his bulge pressing against

Silver's POVWe were all seated around the grand table in the Feign mansion. The elders of the pack were present alongside Natasha.I kept looking at the door, expecting him to walk in, but he didn’t show.“So what am I doing here?” she asked, disrupting the silence. “I already told you I’m backing down from the pack.”“Your word means close to nothing,” Jane responded. “In front of you is a document relinquishing you of all assets if you try to pull an upheaval like that.”“Wrong,” Crator grunted loudly. “I know my sister, and her word actually means nothing.”She paused, smiling mischievously as she read through the document.“So we’re just going to pretend they didn’t betray us?” she said, looking at the elders.“We’re just going to accept him like he didn’t cause the death of my boy?”“Bitch, he’s my boy!” Crator snapped furiously. “Not yours, mine! The only mistake I made was letting him come work under you after

Silver's POV The kiss deepened, his tongue driving into my mouth with an intensity that took my breath away. I melted, succumbing to the kiss, his hand holding my face in place. He pulled back, leaving behind an ecstatic rush that made me flush. “I’m—” he swallowed, falling forward onto me. I was perplexed, watching as he collapsed onto my thighs. He passed out almost immediately, his heart racing in his chest. I guessed he was under the effect of the antidote in his system. I laid back on the bed and allowed him to rest his head on my chest as he slept peacefully. ***** “Silver,” his voice echoed through the darkness of my dream. “I’m coming home… I’m coming back to you.” “Raid?” I reached out to feel him—and I did. I was sure it was him. I could smell and feel him again. I wanted to be excited, but I quickly realized I was dreaming and jolted awake. I opened my eyes. It was already morning. Silver's POVA knock on the door alerted me to their presence. One of Crator's men led them in as I walked down the stairs of Rune’s mansion.“Where is she?” Jericho's voice was the first I heard. “Where is my sister?”“Sister?” I replied as I stepped into the hallway. “That's touching, Jericho. I never thought you would ever take me as a sister.”He walked up to me with a fierce look, barely masking his worry. “You dumb… dumb child,” he said as he wrapped his arms around me.“I told you to reach out if anything happened.”“Well, I'm sorry. I didn't get the chance with a serial killer in front of me,” I replied, then turned to the others behind him.“Jane. Beta Algae.”“I would have never forgiven you if you died,” Jane uttered callously. “All my training would have gone to waste. I don't waste students.”“Shut the fuck up,” Jericho snapped sharply. Their bickering made me crack a smile. I thought I might not see that again.Algae walked quietly to my side, his eyes saying what his li

Silver's POV “Did you know he would show up?” Rune asked Crator, who descended the stairs with his axe scraping against the floor beneath it. “Was that why you sent the battalion into the pack for watchout?” He paused, grinning when he reached the last stair. “I had a feeling he wouldn’t be able to stay away. Something about the Salvatore seems to attract him.” “So you lured me,” he spoke, his ominous voice echoing through the woods. “How bold of you, Horizon.” “Don’t!” Crator growled, his eyes blazing with rage. “Don’t call me that name. No one gave me yours, so what do I call you?” “Chronicle,” he replied, turning his focus to me. “It’s good to see you again. You look grown up. Who prompted it? Hope it wasn’t me.” “Chronicle?” Kaleb asked, chuckling softly. “Every time I hear about you, it’s a different name. A man who can’t decide his name doesn’t know who he is.” “I don’t care about the name,” Rune muttered weakly. “He won’t need it in the place I’ll be sending him to.”

Raid’s POVI was worried sick, yet unable to reach her. There was no phone service, and I couldn’t escape the Gurr estate on my own.I stormed into Gaten’s study furiously, desperate to help the ones I loved.“I need to get out of here. You have no reason to hold me.”“You and I know that’s false,” he said, setting down the tea he was sipping. I had met people addicted to smoking and drinking, but never tea. Green sludge that tasted like crap.“You are here because I told young Kaleb to bring you. He made the deal because I foresaw Khang’s move.”“I know all of that,” I heaved, ready to do whatever it took as long as I was getting out.“You told me to be patient and learn, to understand Khang’s motive, but I got nothing. I have researched every single prospect, aspect of the library, and there’s nothing there.”“There’s always something, Raid,” he said calmly, still sipping his addiction.“I gave you knowledge, clarity, and a safe space, but you seek chaos.
