Raid's POV

“You stupid boy!” My father's voice haunted me as I gulped down the harsh liquor directly from the bottle.

“You killed me and still can't avenge your sister. You are a fucking disgrace,”

“Shut up!” I roared, throwing the bottle to the direction I felt it loudest. Shards of glass flew like shrapnel in every direction when it collided with the wall.

“You couldn't protect her! She was your baby girl and you couldn't protect her! You let him claim her like one of his trophies,”

“Was that really why you killed me?” His question broke through my anger. I reevaluated, doubted everything I had believed.

“Do you want to claim you killed Ash because of Silver? You killed him because that's who you are, a void of darkness and blood,”

“Shut up!”

The voice laughed out loud, it's sound crackling in my head.

“You will never be loved! Never be wanted by anyone, you will remain as you had always been. My greatest mistake,”

“Shutupp!” I roared even louder, every inch of the house trembl

Silver's POV“So what next?” Triscade asked. He held my hand as we strolled out of the Argyle's mansion. “Do you want to come back to my place? Maybe watch a movie or …” “Watch a movie?” I chuckled briefly. “Is that what the kids are calling it these days?” “Ah!” He exclaimed with a goofy look. “You caught me but for real, I just want to spend time with you. Let's forget all these things for just a second and just relax,” “I will like that,” I replied. He pulled me in for a kiss that had me elated. His hand firm on my waist , his presence felt safe and reassuring. In a second, that feeling was replaced with a hole in my chest. A void that swallowed it whole , leaving only loneliness. But, it wasn't my emotions. I was mirroring someone else. I opened my eyes to meet Raid's gaze behind us. He stood by the threshold, his eyes appeared misty as he watched us in silence. He fixed his countenance when he noticed my stare. “Hmm -mm!” He cleared his throat, announcing his presence

Raid's POV The media ran wild when I made my statement. First it was an intense silence, their jaw dropped portraying how confused they were before a sudden outburst of questions, from all sides. “That will be all,” Algae announced as I walked back into the mansion. “Escort them out from the estate and no one comes in until the Elders arrive,” .The security team nodded, “Yes Sir,” My mind raced but couldn't catch a single thought. I had no idea what I was feeling, the void in my chest and the anguish within me. I crashed into my couch, hands over my face as I tried to process my new formed reality. “You can fight this,” Algae stepped in, noticing the full state I was in. “Your family had carried Echo for generations, they built this pack and made it a city. You can fight this and win,” “Then what?” I retorted. “Let tens of thousands perish because of my selfishness, my greed for hold a position that slowly poisons a pack,” He shook his head in disagreement ,“We are going to

Silver’s POV“Kaleb, you can't do this,” I countered angrily and in shock. “You are risking the entire Echo by handing it to them,” “Wrong,” The strange man responded. “I will be incharge. The name is Justin,” he walked up to me and offered a handshake. “I would rather die in hot coal than shake your hand,” I spat. I turned to Raid and noticed how silent he was and the whole environment irritated me. “Excuse me,” I walked out of the study, throwing a fierce glance at Natasha before I exited. *******I drove to the Yara estate the next morning to confront the so-called great families about their choice.“Tell me why I'm accompanying you again?” Jericho asked from the passengers’ seat. “I need someone by my side,” I answered as I drove up to the bar. “I drove us because I couldn't risk another one of your driving tantrums,” “Fair,” he shrugged as we alighted the car. They had more security in the estate, military even. “Damn, those are really expensive people from the blac

Silver's POVNews about my destroyed mines spread across the continent. They were calling it the fall of the century and I was labelled a curse, the one who brought down the family's name. “Switch it off,” Jericho grunted. I was listening to the news on the radio, and they were discussing how impulsive and destructive my decisions were. They called it different names; called me different names. “They might be right,” I breathed as we drove past the sign by the entrance of the pack. The border officers tried to stop us but Jericho blew past them and they immediately charged after us. “I might be impulsive,” “Well, it runs in the family,” he shot back, pressing his foot hard on the gas.The car lurched forward, speeding off and leaving the officers that were on our tail in nothing but dust. He smashed the Eclipse sign by Runes mansion before ramming through the gate. The guards chased after us as he made his way to the main building. “Jericho,” I called out softly as panic slowly

Silver's POV“Who the fuck do you think you are?” Raid shot back, rising sharply to his feet. “The Underground Society does not have the right to play politics in my affairs. You want to practice god, get out of my pack,” “We weren't asking Mr Argyle,” Kaleb responded calmly as he picked up the briefcase that had been by his side. He carefully tossed it over to Raid who stared at it with disgust. “What the hell is this?” “Proof that you and the Salavatores are destroying lives,” he answered swiftly. “The Eurons, Dozais and Gurr had been the secret backbones to pack. We formed the underground business world to settle the balance between the sides of the coin.” “Our impact is more on the corporate affairs than this part of the business,” Jane added. She chuckled frantically, “I don't even recall the last time I was part of something illegal,” “Our duty is to keep the peace on both sides and currently your pack is facing extinction because of your families’ mistake,” he pointed

Silver's POV“Come on, hurry up,” she walked ahead of me. We were brought back to the estate, the estate where it all happened. The whole place was cleaned up but yet I could still smell the bodies. My heart raced as flashes of his terrifying grin became stitched to my memory. “We don't have all day,” “Are you okay?” I asked Triscade who was forced to follow that late at night. “Let's just get this over with and we will be back in bed in no time,” he replied, gripping my hand firmly. Just before she pushed the door open, my instincts could pick out the dangerous aura at the other side of the door. I hesitated to follow, holding Triscade back with a frightened look. “ I can feel it too. They are called the Great families for a reason, of course their presence would alert your wolf,” “We can just leave,” “I won't recommend that,” her response startled me. I couldn't even notice that she was standing right behind me. “I don't have all night and clearly so do you. Eager to go back
