“Pack mother Ashara?” Xander called, surprised.

“You missed our first meeting!” Pack mother gritted sharply, meeting my eyes.

My eyebrows arched up. “First meeting?”

“Your Luna was never supposed to meet me alone. She sure didn't marry herself, did she?” she sneered, her voice icy and sarcastic.

I glanced at Logan and Xander, confused.

True, I had heard of this tradition when I took over the Pack, but I never thought, as the Alpha, I was bound to follow it.

“Em, greetings Pack mother, but I'm quite busy and have a lot of things–”

“Still not a good enough reason to abandon your wife!” She cut me off.

Abandon?

I frowned.

“You don't stop rumours, you make another rumour,” she started, her eyes fiercely locked on me. “You must make things right between you and your Luna and stop the rumours spreading the Pack.”

“Please, Pack mother, how do we do that?” Logan asked quickly.

“First, the Alpha will return to his Luna. Don't leave her alone in the cold of your damn chambers!”
