Third Person's POV "Thaddeus I'm at the far South border. They're coming from everywhere, there's hundreds of them!" Roy said to Thaddeus through the link. "Hang tight Roy, several teams are on the way. They should be there any minute" Thaddeus replied as he raced toward the river. Marcus is leading 300 warriors to the southern border along with Zendaya. Abigail and Xander follow Thaddeus and Aiden. The idea is to keep these four together. Abigail and Aiden are strongest when they are near each other. The same goes for their mates. Mates are stronger together. As they race toward the river, the two pairs spread out, but not too far away from each other. Thaddeus and Aiden go straight for the river opening. Abigail and Xander go south a little bit, but close enough to Aiden for their powers to be full strength. A little over 300 people went to the bunkers. Children, and anyone unable to fight. That leaves almost 1200 warriors available to fight. 100 warriors stay within the h
Third Person's POV Aiden freezes when he sees the person he was hoping to never see again. Walking from the river with an evil smirk on his face is Jackson. "Well well well, what do we have here?... You are mine, little one! What did I tell you about running away from me? I thought I taught you a lesson, but apparently, I didn't. I suppose I'll have to be a little more direct this time!" Jackson says with an evil smirk on his face as he approaches Aiden. Aiden thought with all of his training, he wouldn't be afraid to face Jackson if he was to attack. But now standing in front of him, the monster himself, Aiden finds all his fears rushing back into him at once. He's frozen in place, unable to move or speak. He stands there trembling as Jackson approaches until he's right in front of Aiden. Jackson reaches up and grips Aiden by the throat, pulling him closer so his face was inches away. "You've been bad, little one!" Jackson said, taunting. Aiden's eyes sting as they fill with te
Third Person's POV Noah rips the head off of a rogue as Andrew, and his group of warriors finally arrive from Thaddeus's pack. Andrew barrels into the group of rogues that were surrounding Michael as he struggled to stand his ground. Everyone's exhausted, the fight's been going on for hours. Michael has sustained significant injuries during the fight, and he stumbles to the next rogue. Andrew and his group head past Noah where the majority of the enemies are. They quickly begin taking them down one by one. Three rogues and two of Jackson's warriors circle a weak and wounded Michael as he barely manages to stand upright. One of the warriors lunges at Michael and the rest follow, taking him down to the ground. Michael grunts, greeting his teeth as they claw, scratch, and bite him. Noah's head whips around when he feels the mate bond get significantly weaker. Since they are not fully mated and marked, they don't have that connection that allows them to feel when the other is hurt.
Third Person's POVMarcus, Xander, Zendaya, and Abigail all approach and fall to their knees, crying for their fallen Alpha. The wails and howls from pack members can be heard throughout the entire pack. The sound echoed through the night sky.....Noah was sitting next to Alpha Michael's hospital bed when suddenly he clutches his chest and falls out of his chair crying out.Noah lays on the ground, screaming and crying, as he felt the tether to his Alpha, his father, snap in an instant. The person who rescued him. The person who fixed the broken little boy that he was. The person who finally showed him what it was like to be loved, and to love himself, is gone, just like that!Michael tried sitting up to help him, to see what was wrong, but Noah quickly stood up and went to Michael.Tears streamed down Noah's face as he threw himself at Michael, putting his face in his neck as he sobbed."Thaddeus is dead!" he cried into Michael's neck.Michael froze and his stomach dropped. He felt n
Michael's POV I woke up trying to move my left hand but felt a weight on it. I slowly opened my eyes and turned my head to see what it was. My heart skipped a beat when I saw a head full of messy white hair laying on my arm. Noah's mouth was slightly open, letting out soft little snores. I noticed drool dripping from the side of his mouth and pooling on my arm just under his mouth. I couldn't help but chuckle at how cute he looked. I reached over and ran my fingers through his hair, brushing the hair away from his face. I run my hand along the side of his face and he starts to stir and nuzzles his face into my arm more. A little soft sound escaped his mouth as he does this. I cupped his cheek and my thumb gently caressed it. His eyes slowly fluttered open before landing on mine. I braced myself for Noah to get mad that I was touching him. I know he usually gets mad at me when I touch him, but I was hoping that has changed. But knowing him, it probably hasn't, and I brace myself. B
Noah's POV I slowly wake up feeling relaxed and warm. I snuggle into the warmth and feel hands rubbing patterns on my back. I slowly open my eyes and see Michael looking at me with a soft smile on his face. I smile, getting ready to say something, and pause... What the? What, am I... Am I purring??? I feel my face get hot as I sit here confused and incredibly embarrassed. I've never purred before! The next thing I know Michael was laughing and the other sound I was hearing along with my purr stopped. I glare at Michael because I'm not sure what just happened. "Have I told you how cute you are?"Michael said smiling. "Have I told you how much I'd like to knock that smile off your face?" I said with a smirk. "Have I told you how much I'd like to kiss you right now?" Michael said and I gulped and felt the heat back in my cheeks. Starting to feel a little awkward, so I tried to get up but his arms tightened around me. I looked at Michael and tried again, but his arms wouldn't bud
Noah's POV "So where are we going?" I asked Michael as I sat in the passenger seat looking at him. "Somewhere." He replied. "Duh!" I said, rolling my eyes. Jerk! 45 minutes later and I swore I was about to fall asleep until we finally pulled down a little path that looked like it was hardly used. "Umm, I'm not sure what kind of restaurant is going to be down a road like this," I said looking at him with my eyebrow cocked. He didn't even bother responding, or look at me, he simply smirked. I let out an exaggerated sigh as I rolled my eyes and turned my head to look out the window. Jerk! 20 minutes later and we're driving down this stupid off-road makeshift trail. "So, are you like, planning on dragging me out here in the middle of nowhere, just to murder me?... Because you know you could have done that back at the pack house." I said, giving him a bored look. "Impatient are we!" Michael said with a smile. "Just saying... I mean, I thought we were going out to dinner, and he
Michael's POV "I'm going to go see Thaddeus and Aiden tomorrow," Noah says as we're pulling up to the pack house after our date. "Aiden still hasn't woken up, and I want to check on Thaddeus and see how he's doing." He said. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I'll go with you. I'd like to check on them too." I said as I glanced over at my beautiful little mate and he smiled at me. I get out of the car smiling at Noah as he makes his way around the car next to me. I'm so happy he enjoyed our first date. Aside from the one little hiccup during dinner, I think our first date went really well. I was so happy as we walked toward the front door. Our arms brushed against each other every now and then as we approached the door. I looked at Noah as pushed the door open, to see a big smile on his face, his eyes seemed to sparkle with happiness. That all changed in an instant once I walked in. I hear a high-pitch-annoying screech, as a big-chested long-haired brunette jumps on me, attac
