That was strange of mom. I couldn’t stop gaping at her, wondering why she wanted to see a man she hated so much. Mom had never desired to see Brian when he was insane. Mere thought of Brian irritated her like plaque. I could recall several times she yelled at me when I mentioned Brian in our discussion.
