Chapter Fourteen

I quietly push the door open, sticking my head in for a sign of David in the room but he’s not there. I heave a sigh of relief at his absence, “I wonder how I’m going to deal with this every morning” I say to myself, as I walk out of his room and into the hallway.

“Please where’s the way to the dining hall?” I ask one of the maids passing by. “I’ll guide you” Clara says, dismissing the lady, “thanks” I say, walking closely behind her.

“Do you know where my husband is?” I ask, as we walk to the dining hall. She nods, “I do, he’s in the dining hall and he’s been waiting for you to join him for breakfast” she smiles.

“I was just on my way to wake you when I found you in the hallway” she says. “Waiting for me?” I mutter.

She chuckles, hearing me, “yes he was” she says, pushing the door open, letting me into the dining room.

“Thank you Clara” I say, before walking towards David. “Good morning David” I say with a smile, “how was your night?” I ask.
