Deflated

Zeta's POV

"Where are you coming from?" Belinda's question caused my joy to be deflated like a tire.

I wasn't expecting all of them to be present when I arrived. He told me that only Belinda was around. I went from cloud nine to zero immediately.

Dealing with all of them at the same time was a lot of work.

"I went out." I replied meekly, like a lamb among wolves.

" Really?" Alicia sneered.

"What kind of mother leaves her suckling child and wanders off to see a man?" Belinda asked.

"A bad mother." Tricia reolied. I didn't bother to correct their opinions because I was tired from the trip and wanted to sleep.

"A cat got your tongue?" Belinda mocked me, and I still didn't reply.

"I know you are here because of the money, but you also have to take care of him." She said that, and I nodded solemnly. Anything not to make them angry.
