Dinner was unusually quite, normally we don't leave by the rules don't talk while you are eating. Immediately we were all done, mum cleared her throat loudly.  I think she heard our discussions when we were in my room. Azeez was a bit too loud. Ayesha tried to reassure me she didn't hear anything. But I knew my mum better than them. She rarely knocks but this time around she knocked.

"Azeez and Ayesha, you will both be going back to your parents tomorrow morning." My mum said, breaking the silence.

"Aunty Nabila," Ayesha whispered sadly. I felt bad for her, this place was the only place she could be free, even if it is not for long.  Going back to her parents was like going back to a prison after so many years of freedom.
