Chapter 2 - Mr. Cinderella

Everyone had an incredulous expression on their faces. How can a mere omega be this arrogant?!

Caitlin hated the thought that everyone’s attention was now centered on Bella, who just left. Her gray eyes dilated in kept anger as her face fell and a soft sob escaped her lips, catching the attention of the surrounding people.

“Daddy…” she called out like a kid as tears formed in her eyes. “Does… does Bella hate me?”

Allen Richards felt a headache coming from the mess his youngest had made, but he comforted Caitlin still. He hurriedly walked over to her and enveloped her in his warm embrace.

“It’s okay, Caitlin. You know she was gone for so long, she probably didn’t learn much during her stay in the countryside.” Although Allen never really likes Bella around, it’s true that she’s still his daughter. Now that she’s staying with them, there are a lot of opportunities to teach that child some manners!

As people crowd around the crying and heartbroken Caitlin, no one noticed a man standing quietly in a corner with a glass of wine in his hand. A playful and curious smile played around his handsome face.

“An omega daughter, huh? That’s interesting…” he uttered in a low voice while staring upstairs where Bella had disappeared to.

Meanwhile, Bella was taken to a small room upstairs by the maid. The room was narrow and simple, nothing like the room of a supposed to be an alpha’s daughter.

She laughs at the thought of seeing Caitlin’s enormous room. Even back when she was still a kid and her mother was still alive, they were given an average room in the house and were only allowed to go out of it whenever no one was around. That’s how much the luna hated their presence.

“Miss Richards—”

“You can leave now,” Bella said, cutting off the maid’s words without looking at her.

Bella casually put down her bag on top of the small bed as soon as she heard the door of the room closed and took out her laptop from it. She press the boot button and smiled sinisterly as the screen lit up.

The boot-up speed barely took a second to finish. It was faster than any of the commercialized computers sold on the market.

Bella’s fingers immediately moved at an incredible speed over the keyboard. Her slim fingers produce clicking sounds every time it taps on the keyboard keys. Two more clicks and the screen finally displayed what was happening all over the villa.

She clicked onto one of the footage lined up on her screen and watched the pack’s luna, Hope Richards, toasting her glass of wine with Caitlin like the ridiculous socialite that they are.

The corner of Bella’s lips curved in a mocking smile, disdain flashed in her pretty blue eyes as her fingers quickly move into the arrow keys of her computer, quickly grasping all the patterns in the villa using the footage she had hacked into.

Suddenly, her finger paused for a moment as the small screen of her laptop displayed a carefree-looking man with perfectly sculpted features. A pair of gold-rimmed eyeglasses hanging elegantly on the bridge of his high nose.

The attractive man was casually leaning against the wall, his arms slightly hanging on his side while his long legs remained wrapped under the white suit pants he was wearing. He looks so dashing and charming at the same time.

Though his pose seems to look like he was getting bored, it didn’t even affect the astonishing air of confidence and handsomeness he was exuding to where even Bella, who was never the type to be easily attractive to appearances, was distracted for a while.

She was intently watching him from the screen, her eyes filled with curiosity and admiration towards the guy who was silently drinking his wine away from the rowdy crowd of socialites.

Earlier, she thought that everyone around was all the same as Caitlin and her mother, greedy socialites who used their friends and family as ornaments to display to the world. But this guy seems to be so different, at least that’s how he looks like now, given that he had been rejecting a few ladies who tried to approach him.

Bella suddenly gasped in shock as she met the eyes of the guy straight from her screen. He suddenly raised his eyes, his gaze straightly staring at the CCTV camera that she was using to check him out earlier. It was as if he was seeing her through the lens of that camera and on the screen of her computer.

Bella felt like she was getting lost in the blooming, deep pitch black eyes of the handsome guy. It was like he was about to swallow her whole.

Bella bit her lip and pulled out a gasp before her fingers resumed tapping on the keyboard to quickly switch another footage into the screen.

Although she was viewing the other footage around the villa, her mind keeps on going back to the pair of deep black swirls that she saw earlier. She thought she was being ridiculous, feeling so shaken after meeting eyes through the screen. He can’t even see her!

So, for her own peace of mind, she licked her lower lip before working on going back to that footage of the guy from earlier again, only to feel a bit disappointed when he was no longer in the same spot.

She tried looking for him from the other footage around the villa, but she found nothing.

“Mr. Cinderella, aren’t we?” she uttered in a playful tone when she saw through her computer that it was already past midnight.
