Fiona's pov

My blood wouldn’t stop burning.

Even with Logan’s arm around me, even with Mia gone for now—the residue of her betrayal clung to me like soot. My magic, so recently reignited, pulsed wild and raw under my skin. I could still feel the way her relic strangled it. Could still feel how close she’d come to ending me.

“How long were you following me?” I asked as we trudged back through the forest, my steps slow but steady.

“Since you crossed the ridge,” Logan said, his voice quieter than usual. “Silas said something felt off. I agreed.”

“You could’ve waited until I was bleeding out.”

He glanced down at me. “You weren’t?”

I smiled and tired, aching, hollow. “Not enough to stop me.”

A beat of silence passed.

Then he said, “She’s not done, Fi.....”

“No,” I agreed. “She’s only just begun.”

By the time we reached Blackridge, the wind had turned.

Not just cold wrong.

Even the guards at the gates felt it, their postures stiffer, eyes scanning the trees like the shadows had started whis

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Amaiya's games

Logan's povThe scent of Gwen’s blood hadn’t faded. It clung to the air like ash.Amaiya stood there, soaked from the storm, that wicked grin curving her mouth. She tossed the pendant again, letting it catch the firelight.“You should thank me,” she said. “She’d have slit your throat before sunrise.”“Where did you find that?” I asked.“In the eastern woods. With tracks leading north—toward the old ruins.”My wolf pressed hard against my skin. “You followed them?”Amaiya shrugged. “For a while. But I don’t chase ghosts, Alpha. Especially ones you still dream about.”Fiona stepped forward, eyes sharp enough to cut. “You’re lying.”Amaiya’s smile widened. “You’d like that, wouldn’t you?”“Say that again.”“Easy,” I snapped. “Both of you.”But Amaiya didn’t stop. She turned to me, voice soft now, too soft. “She ran to him, Logan. She didn’t need force. Maybe she missed what you used to be.”The words hit like a punch.I stepped closer, until the air between us turned dangerous. “You thin

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Behind the barricade

Fiona's povRowan’s call. The kind that made the ground thrum and the air crawl down your spine.I didn’t wait for orders. I was already moving.Logan shouted my name behind me, but I didn’t stop. My pulse was wild. My wolf was louder. He was near.Outside, the courtyard blazed with movement—wolves shifting mid-run, guards raising alarms, lightning flashing behind the walls. The storm above felt alive, as if answering that cursed howl.Gwen was still inside. I could feel her presence like a stone in my throat.I didn’t trust her. The way she stood near Logan, the way her voice had softened when she said his name. It wasn’t just history. It was possession.I pushed the thought aside and sprinted toward the tower wall. The air stung my skin. My claws slid out without thought.Rowan’s scent was on the wind—iron, smoke, power. And something else. Fear.He wasn’t attacking yet. He was waiting.---Logan caught up to me at the gate, breath sharp, eyes glowing faint gold.“You shouldn’t be

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Raw and sharp moment

Logan's povThe council chamber reeked of mistrust. Wolves whispered behind folded arms, and every glance felt like a blade turned sideways.I stood at the head of the table, listening, not speaking. Power wasn’t in noise. It was in silence that made others tremble first. But today, the silence worked against me.“They say Rowan still breathes,” Elder Merek muttered. “He’s gathering strays....”“Then they’ll choke on their loyalty,” I cut in.He flinched. The others went quiet. Yet I could feel it—something shifting beneath the surface. My pack wasn’t whole. Fiona wasn’t here. And that absence pressed against my ribs like a curse.A guard burst in, panting. “Alpha, there’s someone at the gates.”I didn’t ask who. My wolf already stirred. Familiar , buried under dust and memory.I left the chamber before anyone could follow.Outside, the sky carried the kind of stillness that warns before a storm. The guards formed a half-circle at the gate. In the center sat a rider cloaked in grey.“

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Inner conflict

Fiona's povThe courtyard hadn’t cooled since Rowan’s retreat. Every step I took left a mark in the soot.Logan was somewhere behind me, silent as the shadows. He hadn’t said a word since Gwen vanished.I didn’t ask. I didn’t trust my voice to hold steady.Inside the hall, healers worked in silence. Wounded wolves lined the walls, faces pale under torchlight. One of them tried to bow when I passed. I told him not to.The fire in me hadn’t gone out. It only changed shape. When Serena met me near the stairwell, she didn’t speak. She just studied my face — her eyes sharp, her mouth set.“She’s real then,” she finally said.“Too real,” I answered.“She’s dangerous.”“So am I.”Serena stepped closer, her scent cutting through the smoke. “He froze when he saw her.”“I noticed.”“You’re going to let that go?”I looked past her, toward the shattered courtyard. “I don’t let go. I wait.”Serena’s lips curved, not quite a smile. “That’s worse.”Hours later, the hall emptied. The moon crept acros

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Darkness ungolds

Logan's povThe wind outside Whiteclaw shifted like the type that carried a warning long before the messenger arrived. I felt it before I heard the horns. The guards dragged a body through the gate. One of Rowan’s soldiers, half-dead, trembling. His message came out broken,“He’s coming again… not alone.”I should’ve felt anger. Instead, I felt something heavier settle behind my ribs.Fiona stood beside me. “He won’t stop, will he?”“No,” I said. “Not until he believes I’m broken.”She looked at me for a moment too long, as if searching for a piece of the man I used to be. I couldn’t give it to her. When the soldier finally died, I caught his scent, mixed with something familiar. Something I hadn’t smelled in years.Gwen.The name hit me like an echo I wasn’t ready for. She’d been gone long before Fiona. I buried her in my memory and never looked back. But now, that faint trace clung to Rowan’s man like a ghost wearing perfume.Fiona noticed the change in me. “Who is it?”“No one,” I

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Take the bow immidiately

Logan's povThe next dawn found Whiteclaw uneasy. Every wolf in the stronghold moved like someone listening for a sound only they could hear.Logan walked the inner wall alone. From up here the pack looked smaller, corners empty, sentries keeping their eyes on one another instead of the trees. He could smell fear everywhere tangled together.Below, Fiona was training a fresh patrol. Her voice carried through the chill air, calm but edged. Serena moved among the recruits, her movements precise, her expression unreadable. Watching them side by side unsettled him in a way he couldn’t name.He was still watching when footsteps approached behind him.Amaiya.She had no right to be in his territory, and yet she walked straight toward him, cloak snapping in the wind, eyes cold. “You didn’t finish the job,” she said. “Your pack still looks broken.”“I should throw you off this wall,” Logan answered.“You could,” she said lightly, “but you won’t. You still want to know who opened the gates for
